Premium Member Specters of Slaves
Nature trail extends for miles
Surrounded by wetlands and lakes
Each step I take brings me closer
To an old plantation, where I climb the stiles

For it was here that slaves once toiled
To raise and harvest sugar cane
Their cries and moans can still be heard
And the Plantation’s magic...

Premium Member The Specters of Old Widow's Peak
On All Hallow's Eve,
The say can be seen,
A figure alone and forlorn.

It prowls the high steppes,
Of Old Widow's Peak,
Mysterious, but meaning no harm.

The story is told,
Of two lovers of old,
Who pledged to each other they'd cleave;

But he had to sail out,
At dawning's first light,
Returning on...

In the abysses of my mind, where shadows whisper and memories dance like specters, I think of you.
Of how strong you must be to face all the blue and black guilt,
And still let tears of joy shine in your eyes,
A paradox of pain and ecstasy,...

The Time For Specters To Walk
I do not know why Specters walk in solemn procession on the cool nights of Autumn, and always in places where they lived and loved and suffered or breathed the last breath of life. It would seem, that, even in death, they seek those...

Ghost lace as thin as invisible souls from aude la
attached to heavenly doors the only color is white
in this corridor of no return, symmetrical mandalas
"We are being informed by specters of the light "

Gubernatorial tablets of gold on governed seats
Hosting judgement on...

We are but transient breezes, subtle specters,
On this ancient soil, so dense, so tangible,
Yet fleeting seagulls of smoke in nature's hands,
A curtain's sway when the final act concludes,
Departing from mortality's sharp incision, we leave without armors,
Simply empty shells, extinguished echoes on the shores of oblivion,
Bearing...
