The Boatmans Song 2

The Boatman’s Song 2/ Many

Urvashi’s heart was aching to hear and to see the elegance
Of the boatman, while he sing those melodies on earth
A great longing started sprouting in her bosom
To visit the earth and to listen those heart touching songs
Which like a powerful magnet were pulling her towards earth
Where flows the Ganges and lives her unseen love

To control her ever increasing desire of hearing those songs
And to see that unique boatman, who lives on earth
Urveshi tried to engage her more and more
In the courtly dances and engagements for Indra
But the more she wanted to escape, more she became enchanted
By the echoes of boatman’s songs
Which were tearing her heart and
Making her mind almost intoxicated,
By the melodies of those heavenly songs

The pleasures and comforts of heaven began to pinch her
Like the piercing thorns
Even the dance and music, which were her pride and passion
Became dull and charm less in the wake of those songs
For which she was hailed
As the best among all the Apsaras in the entire universe

Heaven seems to bring no joy and rejoicing for her any more
Her dancing steps, which were the symbols of perfection and beauty
Even started betraying her
As her own heart was no longer in her possession any more
And she found that her mind and heart
Were swept away by that unseen boatman
Sailing his boat somewhere on earth

Apsara Urveshi after finishing her dance that day
Told the God of heaven, Indra
That she perhaps can no longer perform any dance
Owing to agonies of her heart and restlessness of her mind
And her legs were not in tune with her mind to perform
A flawless dance and song by which she had captured the
Hearts of all Gods and Goddess, what to say of humans on earth

She thought and thought and found that she can only normalize
If she can hear the songs of the boatman
Singing in full throated ease on earth
The echo’s of which were hovering in her mind like clouds
And twisting her heart to see that singer sublime

Momentary Pleasures

Every night I fall
Always hitting a brick wall
Failures always come
Thoughts of what I’ve become
Makes me want to die

Momentary pleasures
Giving up these treasures
Changing who I was
Regretting who I am
Always falling for
Momentary pleasures

I’m always longing for love
Reaching out for my dove
But why the hell can’t I stay true
And I know I’m always loosing you

Momentary pleasures
Giving up these treasures
Changing who I was
Regretting who I am
Always falling for
Momentary pleasures

Am I worth it at all
If I say I’m strong
Why do I always fall
I need to find my way back to faith
Before everything’s too late

Ropes

chained
it’s animosity
and i know he is not mine
but the wolf longs to be free
i feel his agony in the form of anger

the ropes that hold us down
in every way keep us bound
and i hear his cry to be released
still what can i do
nothing

what forgiveness can he offer
to me a passerby
that wont loose him
it’s as though I’ve committed a crime
and that’s how my heart feels

if they refuse to claim him
tell me then
why do they shame him so
with guilt when he’s done no wrong
and now he can only sing the saddest song

a song of longing
and a song of loneliness
already held down
worsened by rejection
lack of affection

he is now weighted by depression
and no one else will listen
so i mourn along with him
the days of running free

i miss with him too
hearing laughter
and feeling loved
now long gone
by the binding ropes rubbing us raw

Fair

Yeah, I’m like an island with no leave
Direction with no destination
A tremendous distance from where I’d belonged so long
Once a deep-rooted tree, exemplary in foundation
Now amputated, indeed from my haven

Once quite fair and desired
This road’s got me withered and tired
And Im longing for the coast in
A tone I’d never thought possible
How the melody of the sea has abandoned me!

Once I dug my heels in and traveled far
Now progress has delivered me hardly at all
If these prints were pods of salt and water
I’d be home alike my mothers daughter

And I’m longing for the coat in
A tone I’d never thought possible
How the melody of the sea has abandoned me!

The Stars Are Brighter On the Outside (Of the World)

a view of my current state of mind
minus the tour guide
rather the annoying person who acts like they know it all
but really doesn't have a clue

sometimes i think i might just be one mood swing away from doing something incredibly stupid

maybe this is the creative breakthrough we've all been waiting for
probably just another breakdown from another underachiever

i've been waiting a year for something good to happen
my whole life is divided by a series of time spent waiting
multiplied by many slips and falls

beginning to think that maybe this storybook ending is for the birds and not the boys

i've been longing for an adventure
but to busy planning a funeral for my greatest failure

i'm well aware that i think way too much
when more time is spent on thoughts than on make outs (houston) we have a problem

can't help but feel like the world is passing me by in the night
i struggle just to get out of bed every day and start it over

what if 3am didn't exsist?

i forgot what the morning looks like when you wake up to it
compared to beating it to a sunrise.

life as of late
sleeping less and thinking more
working my way out of certain tendencies by lying to myself

everything i do is as pretend as you make me feel

Frozen

It's been roughly three days since I've left my room,
And I'm starting to think that is because of the absence of you.
I'm talking about no one directly,
More like everyone indirectly.
So, I lay here pathetically,
And, quite frankly,
I'm at that low point where I've lost my ambition
To open my phone and hit up the friends I've been missing.
Loneliness has taken it's toll.
It's placed all of these chains on my soul.
Just longing for someone to hold
Has left me oh so cold.
And I'm freezing down to my inner core,
Just like the heart of a filthy whore
Slowly does over time.
And the wind on the wind chime
Is making me lose my mind.
It looks like the only way to find
True happiness,
Despite all of my goals and my plans,
And despite all of my so called "friends",
It comes down to this gun in my hands.
Although I'm petrified,
I'm sure this is justified.
My coldness is glorified,
And I'm wrapped in the arms of suicide.

Imagination

I called you up tonight
Just to check if you are all right
Wishing to kiss you goodnight
May you sleep tight

You were the first thing on my mind
Only through your voice I find
True love I have been longing for
But still I want more

You sit beside me as we watch raindrops fall
Strolling sometimes if the sun’s up in the mall
You even wrote our names on the wall
But why do I still feel so small

You were the first thing on my mind
Only through your voice I find
True love I have been longing for
But still I want more

Wishing to touch you like this
there would be nothing to miss
If heaven gave me that bliss
Then it would end happily with a kiss

Wishing there’s so much more to do
Than just imagining that I’m with you
My life would never be blue
Until my life is through

Forgiveness

Shards of glass in a fatal wound,
No more worries - I'm leaving soon.
You're the poison, and you're the knife,
You're the demon that saved my life,
Angel-devil, and not the less,
A heartbreaker, but still the best.
A denial, a myth, a wraith,
Well-known stranger who stole my faith.

I know you're afraid that all alone
You'll make your way through lands of endless rains.
In front of you is only the unknown
Behind your back is just this hollow pain...

Sleeping pills, bittersweet champagne -
I am watching my empty brain
Drowning quickly in alcohol...
But won't drown my longing soul.
In this strife I'm a knight, but scared,
And I'm feeling... oh well, enough!
Now I'll stop... no one f---ing cares.
You have never believed in...

In my devotion.

But I'm not afraid that all alone
I'll make my way through lands of endless rains.
In front of me is only the unknown
Behind my back is just this hollow pain...

But with arms broken I'll fight,
By my forgiveness
My broken heart is revived -
I'm alive!

And I'm not afraid that all alone
I'll make my way through lands of endless rains.
In front of me is only the unknown
Behind my back is just this hollow pain...

I Miss You

Know that I need you
Know that I bleed you
Know that I breathe you
Know that I need you

I hate that I can’t see you
I hate that I can’t see you
I can’t stand being apart

What can ease this?
What can aid this longing heart?
What can ease this?

Oh how I miss you
I’m longing to kiss you
to feel you in my arms
Oh how I miss you

The time passes slowly
This torture’s unholy
The time passes slowly
