sharp, serrated scissor snips
jagged little feather clips
bold blue and gold fold to the floor

more & more wings strive to grow
torn & shorn, uneven flow
flap & flap, too trapped to fly

upon a dusty floor, they lie
another's scraps, perhaps planned crafts
by crisp snips, my self I deny...
