Best Snared Poems
Had a thought a moment ago, just before I broke your aura'd wing,
trapped here, forever, within Audouin's vast crater alone and pining.
Starved for ages, a new gnawing hunger'd vision looked to bring.,
had we met, you and I, before the javelin started skyward climbing?
Though skin is rough and jagged as scoria litter that surrounded,
there beats a heart recognized by all the vanquished ghosts of Mars.
Was this love, don't know..,tho' never felt quite so astounded.
Perhaps startled to realize, it was I..,snared by her eyes in fawning stars.
Pitiful, mortal creatures molded by divine hands such as we,
learn only now, the cosmos proves bearable only through love.
And so I'll starve tonight, and tomorrow, and perhaps forever be.,
though joyous still..,no longer alone, or taunted by constellations above.
At last you take wing again, watch you soar away into the starlit night,
this day found love to save, and let your spirit go in merciful flight.
~~My apologies to Carl Sagan~~
My heart snared in the
gentleness of your love,
encased in the pure
ambrosia of your very
being.
Captivated from first eye
shot, to be carried like a
shadow, this euphoria you
cascade.
And I sit the King as you
bathe my realm in beauty,
every corner blessed in
your serenity, every
raindrop but a gentle kiss.
My Queen within my dreams,
the princess in my garden, the
fragrance of the flowers, the
air of all desires.
The living of my day, the
starlight of my night, the
sinking of the sun, and
every dawn that's won,
these things you are to me,
for always and ever be.
Caress this heart of mine,
let the souls combine, sate
these dreams of ours,
beneath our guiding stars.
Snared
We have all become entangled
Little snares, have never strangled
A shoelace tight that won’t untie
A hole we dig with cloudy skies
The rain that falls can feed the crops
Or fill your fear with tears unstopped
As rising tides have always turned
But, little snares are lessons learned
These little snares; I push aside
Are not defeat, unless you hide
I keep these snares; reminding me
I use them now to strike a beat
A beat that finds a rhythm right
The rudiments; the truths of life
Those little snares, complete my drum
And now, my love, our song will come
Strum, ta, strum, ta ta, struuum

O' love the heart is a blueprint of sky
Empty and darkness engulf at high
Of love no vastnesses there is
Of tear no drops of the ocean there is
Merely a salty sigh is flying on the lonely jeered sky
On the peak of mind tower just hauling a roar
No arrow, no bow, no Cupid in abjured nature
Every rose has died by its thorns and snare
