Beneath the illumination of the elliptical moon,
Within the cove of diamond bay, waves gently sway
Back and forth, under the oceans clarity of the big blue,
As the surfs foam and spray roll against the white sandy
Beaches beyond.
Hush the breeze whispers to the gulls above, hush, hush now,
Be still, for soon they will come, but these chatter snappers.
Refuse to yield in their battering’s scrawling, until the ocean
Itself-lashes out at them to be quiet.
In the silence of the timeless, in the paused hush of the
Aquatic wilderness, something stirs.
Behold the leaping lords of the blue abyss,
Breaching upwards, as if to tenderly kiss the moon above,
Thanking it for another day of life, to live wild and free,
Beneath the waves of infinity, of the big blue.
Dancers on fins of grace, seemingly toe stepping on the
Waves in a delicate balance, just for a second of brilliance
Display, while others incline in a somersault acrobatic
Air assault, to pay homages respect to the magnificent
Ocean for its eternal beauty, and salvation's refuge.
These gray phantoms of the divine ethereal realm,
Born with purity’s heart of innocence, true creatures
Of light and love, shine in the diamond star dust of twilight.
Birthed within the quaking wake of the lords divining hands,
At the moments his voice rose, in the beginning of time itself,
Dividing the light from the darkness, the dolphin took its first
Air breath of life, and the Lord Almighty,
Smiled down upon his aquatic creation with warmth and love.
Perfections free falling divers, enchanting the human heart
With their graceful swiftness, stealth and intelligence.
The sailor’s guardians at sea, these vigilant sentinels of the
Briny depth, follows the surging storms hailing, and await
To assist in the deist hour of humanities greatest need.
Within their loving pod, the young are nurtured by devotions
Breasts of giving, no tender a mother can ever be found
Then she the dolphin, born from the grace of God himself.
In the silence of the timeless, in the paused hush of the
Aquatic wilderness, something stirs beneath the waves
Of clarity.
Behold the leaping lords of the blue abyss,
Breaching upwards, as if to tenderly kiss the moon above,
Thanking it for another day of life, to live wild and free,
Beneath the waves of infinity, of the big blue.

There once was a Chick from the sea
whose two buxom breasts were set free.
Twin seaweed straps snapped
as thunder clouds clapped
and the sailors drown ecstatically.

Premium Member Southern Comfort Beds

the goslings have shed ochre puffs
which are no longer in vogue,
           they're wobbling toddlers now
too big for the snappers' jaw
they cannot fly at all- as of yet
but come fall they'll knead icy skies
                       into warm southern comfort beds

Premium Member Young Whipper Snappers

Was self-employed for thirty-five years
So when I finally called it quits
No big party, no expensive gold watch
No well wishers, no funny quips

As I quietly sailed off into the sunset
I heard this young fellow say
“Another piece of deadwood we're rid of!
Let's go, it's a brand new day”

That's funny, I said the very same thing
He's right, it's a brand new day
No more stress no ridiculous deadlines
Finally time for making hay

Young whipper snappers have no idea
Their time will come sure as rain
“Another piece of deadwood we're rid of!”
It'll be they who'll hear that refrain!

Premium Member Pee-Pee Retention

When I was younger and I thought of old age

Thought we all became senile at this elderly stage

It appears I was wrong, I can still go potty

And able to dress this tired old body

Try as I might, I don't see very well

And my wobbly old legs are as shaky as hell

Sometimes my words come out like a squeak

Other times I whistle whenever I speak

Have a secret to tell you my young whipper snappers

It's as good as it gets except for my bladder

It seems to be constantly wanting attention

I don't have a problem with pee-pee retention

So now that I've told you guys what to expect

I must tell you all it's as good as it gets

Enjoy your youth cause it's downhill from here

You'll soon be old and decrepit I fear

Wasted

A fish-loving gent from North Tappers
Ate every day at least five red snappers.
Morning, noon, and night
He delighted in every bite.
And wore out his home’s two crappers.

Premium Member Life's a Hoot

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives

No matter how much time we have left

A sobering thought as we reach our golden years

Our number could be up tomorrow, next week, next year

So we must enjoy life to the fullest, make every day count

We don't get to go around a second time

When we're young whipper snappers

Old age is eons into the future

Our main concern is dealing with everyday life

With all of it's ups and downs, it's uncertainties

With romance, with choosing a vocation

But when all is said and done and we near retirement

It's all water under the bridge

So what I'm saying to all you young folks

Live your life to the fullest

Make every single day count as if it was your last

Tell your loved ones every day how much they mean to you

In case you don't get another chance

Life's a hoot... enjoy it!

Winn Dixie Florida

Winn Dixie Florida

Happily filling up my grocery cart I thought I heard snickers.
"Hershey's Kisses and Fruit Loops are smooching,” said Almond Slivers.
Piña-colada razzed Star Crunch, “Let's fight you chicken liver."
Energizer batteries cheered, “Smack him, Star! Give him the shivers.”

Oatmeal started crying. “Cheer up,” said the salt and pepper shakers,
“Fighting is for: snappers, snipers, snoopers, and party-poopers".
“P-a-r-t-y!” shouted Star, forgiving Piña-colada, one super market smoothie.
Heavenly Hash chilled and Luvs laid back dreaming sweet-tart pleasantries.

Premium Member Crazy Thoughts No 3

Children laugh four hundred times a day
We adults at the most laugh fifteen
Try to copy these young whipper snappers
But watch you don't rupture your spleen

The biggest predictor of love is proximity
That makes a whole lot of sense
If your lying next to an unclothed woman
Sexually you might feel a bit tense

According to the latest poll about habits
Men shower more often than women
That's a really charming romantic statistic
Who cares if they're stinkier than men

The world's tallest man was eight foot eleven
Passed away at the age of twenty-one
Looked down his nose at almost everything
'Cept giraffes who couldn't be outdone

Women supposedly mature faster than men
But they surely don't have as much fun
We will still be acting like a bunch of yahoos
When they close the lid and we're done

Women really excel at parking a car
But on the freeway it's a whole different matter
While putting on makeup at 80 miles an hour
The main concern is blood splatter

A whole big batch of Valentines are exchanged
You would think I'd get more than one
But imagine if the one card that I did receive
Was from Jennifer Aniston

Dipple Dabbers

Advertising has us in it's wrappers
here's the bad stuff ~ here the clappers,
it seems the product needs the jabbers
like a potato chip ~ the grabber!

but for the quaintness of the blabbers
I could not focus ~ or react thus
now here's a cute phrase ~ DIPPLE DABBERS
they're not like "p r i n g l e s" ~

They're just "ADAPTERS"!

Note ~ Hi Mark Pringle (our poetic benefactor) Had to say something that could
separate the wimps from the "snappers!"

waves do break
upon many shore lands
seen crabs clams

Premium Member At the Crack of Dawn

Up bright and early at the crack of dawn
Seems that's been my routine forever
Don't wanna waste a single damn moment
Don't wanna miss a single thing ever

Time seems forever when we're youngun's
Old age is a bunch of decades away
Then all of a sudden it jumps up and bites us
Celebrated your 60th birthday today

Talk about the years literally flying by
Seems like they're in overdrive they do
Here's some news you young whipper snappers
Soon be waving your young life, adieu

Sure didn't start out to write a downer
Guess my age is starting to catch up
Usually I'm over the top with the happy stuff
So back to wagging my tail like a pup!

Galveston Fishing Boat

The sun, an igneous ball, is falling down the sea.
The wave is locked, and a new night is seen.
The fishing boat heads to open ocean
 with songs ballooning the sails.

Songs tell numerous silver fishes.
Codfish games’re swimming in a sing file
day and night shining up the ocean.
Come to shine the nets, our fiancés!

Our boat steers to wind with the sound,
surfs between high sky and smooth sea,
anchors faraway to look through blue water,
disposes the net to get that golden sea

It presents snappers, eels, cat fishes,
and garrupas sparkling as eternal flames.
Skates lash their bright yellow tails.
Poetically, Galveston’s sky with stars is fulfilled.

We sing songs to welcome fishes.
The high moon accompany for its friends.
Sea gives us fishes as a Mother’s breast
which raises us from the first foods.

When stars become dull, nets are strained,
tightened encirclement because of big source.
Bright tails flash over the entire ocean.
Folded nets and pulled sails welcome the sunshine.

 Songs‘re ballooning the sails.
The boat races ardently with the sun
which is wearing the sea on its head,
and fishes’ brilliant eyes look for their shore.
