Glass slippers 
cut roads clean 
like diamonds
they dance through the storm
and Yellow is just a colour
ribbon tied around a tree

never Gold 

Monkeys fly
flattering mongrels
who walk the lonely roads
always on their own 
with soft feathered 'friends',
soap sudded soupy vowels

and horny (backed) toads
