Every Time We Fall

Every time we fall we lose a bit of are selfs.
Untill hollow becomes the heart.
bare as a vacant stores shelves.

The dreamer finds solice in every new face.
That new love's illusion.
Cold is the afterglow when we reflect apon that
once passionet embrace.

Can the bitter heart find a reason to try?
Skipping stones alone across dark water.
We keep setting are selves up without
a single question as to why.

A room smoke filled yet every thing shows
clear.
Sometimes we play the cards.
And hold the best one aside in fear.

As vast as the ocean from its shores
the the innocent crawl.
Trying to capture only a glimmer of that true passion.
Every time we fall.

Butterfly Beauty

Butterflies don't peak to soon
They are cuddled in cocoons
Warm and safe as they grow
Into the beauty they will show
To the world when they are free
They are just like you and me
Slowly growing every day
More and more we make our way
Into the world to show how we
Share with others our beauty
That comes from our inner selfs
Not the beauty on store shelves
That gives us a different look
Everybody take a look
At whats on our soul and hearts
There's no better place to start
Learning who others can be
If we see them differently
Than what is on the outside
Hiding their beauty inside

He Died From a Broken Heart

He moved to a new town,
felt like he was lost,
he always wore a frown,
till he seen the angel across,

one day he met her,
it was like a sign,
she was so pretty just,
endless like time,

together they fell,
in deep love real fast,
vowed to love each other,
that they'd always last,

then it got stronger,
deeper than thought,
he'd love her forever,
felt life was to short,

then something went wrong,
and they spent less time,
the boy started to wonder,
is she even still mine,

till one day she called,
and heres what she said,
"id rather be alone,
then with u instead,

from that day on,
inside more he died,
he couldn't let go,
no matter how hard he tried,

two and a half years have past,
in life he feels he has no part,
twenty-one days later,
he died from a broken heart,

heres to all u lovers,
who don't picture your selfs apart,
make sure you cherish every moment,
right from the very start...

If I Were An Elephant

Living in the wilds of Africa,
with my Mom and aunties by my side,
following the herd to the watering hole,
as we looked out for the lion pride,

We got our fill of water,
and played and squirt our enormous selfs,
cooling off from the hot African sun,
that was beating down on us twelve,

Then we got some dust in our trunks,
and blew it all over our backs,
as a precaution for our skin,
for less sunburning and less cracks,

We proceeded to go to a grassy spot,
where we started to munch and eat,
when I heard shots rang out,
and my herd family's assassination was complete,

I stood behind some bushes,
so the poachers could not see me,
as they hacked off my families ivory tusks,
so they could be sold eventually,

Then the poachers took off in their large truck,
and I slowly came out of the bushes to look for Mom,
finding her I began to weep like a baby,
the tears for the next couple of days like a soothing balm,

Being a baby elephant I started feeling weak,
thats when a nice human being brought me something to eat,
loading me up on his large African Wildlife Foundation truck,
he drove me to an elephant conservation area where I'd be protected
and grow up.

Addendum: These beautiful intelligent pachyderms are almost extinct because of poaching.

Knowledge

Knowledge is always a useful tool
And every one of us can easily obtain
Whether it be collage or even school
It’s about learning to excise ones brain

And often referred to us as scaffolding
That is a platform for a solid foundation
When we’re out there and gaffe ring
A whole swarm of vital information

That is the infrastructure on which to build?
All of your hopes, dreams, and aspirations
A mixture! Too, finding your place in the world,
If not bombarded with so many distractions

More easily recognised, thoughts and ideas
Let’s face it I mean every one of us has some
It’s about learning to use our eyes and ears
If we took the time to expand our cranium

Ok Perhaps not quite to the point of strain
But learning to think a little more refined
Use our thinking caps if not a runaway train
If we try not to have a one tracked mind

Predecessors will tell us what to think and do
Very little in the way of varied subject matter
But they are guesser’s life a learning curfew?
I must emphasis one that dose build character

Knowledge is power; look at the books we read
Be inquisitive it’s all about getting the know
Is there a thing as average if the will to succeed?
Then there is no doubt that we can all grow

With this I was mearly giving my view on those small minority
Who choose to p there life up the world and have no sense of direction
Or any enthusiasum but i think no matter whether you learn from life

Second Chances

Imagine a life, without worry or hurt, without sadness or happiness, without love or hate, without trust or loyalty, life doesn't have existence , life is a gift, we should treat it with self-respect, and dignity, becuz without all these things, life stands still... In darkness mistakes are what make us and defines us all, to learn great things, to take second chances for our selfs, to greatly teach others especially our youth, that there is life at the end of a rainbow, which is a symbol of new life an new beginning.... As We reconcile, with faith for god.....Unity n' Peace, I reprehend that we all take one for the T.E.A.M.

A New Life

With birth is a new beginning,
A destination to a new journey ahead
From a child grown into maturity
With youth to age
From innocent to awareness
And ignorance to just knowing,
Perhaps to wisdom
From the weakness to the strength
Health to sickness
We pray to good health again
A path each of us follow
With dreams of success in our lives
To being happy with bliss and love our selfs
And one another
We could have a life filled with loves joy
To treasure always forever
A new life miracle is born into that
First new life of natures blessings
Never take anything for granted
For this new life is a gift from the heavens
To always cherish forever and each is unique

Chops For Pops

Chops for Pops
(a Blues response to Black n Blue
for Louis Armstrong)
By ‘bro. zayid’

Put a lock n chain
on yr dreams ygfolk
‘cause they will sure try to take it
Put a lock n chain
on yr dreams
‘cause they will sure try to take it
make it so big n thick
can’t nobody break it…

Play bluenotes so sharp
it’ll stab the air they’ breathe
I say, play bluenotes so sharp
it’ll stab the air they’ breathe
Hit’em dead in the head
with they’ mean selfs
Make all they’ wrongdoin’ bleed…

Use excellence as an attack
make they’ obstacles disappear
Use excellence as an attack
make they’ obstacles disappear
Attack so hard
fill they’ bowels up with fear…

Purple lips dream are precious too, baby
Don’t let’m tell u no lie
Say, purple lip dreams are precious too, baby
Don’t let’m tell u no lie
Chase’m down like they’ stole from yr mama
Chase’m down till u die…

So get yr chops up
Get yr chops up
Get ready to blow’m away
Get yr chops up
Get yr chops
Get ready to blow’m away
‘cause when they come for u and yr dreams
they’ aint comin to play…

Lovell's Wharf

To Lovell's Wharf Warwick and I would go,
In need to find what little of our selfs was left,
After the storm-passions of domestic life had carved their share.
Answering the call, as mating birds do, we took up the song,
Beating rhythmically across her waters,
To follow her scent riding high on the wind,
To amble gently to her side.
Finding our images mirrored in her depths,
Realising the way that lay ahead,
Past feathered lovers feeding quietly by her banks,
Past the place where I dared Warwick jump,
Towards the foreign ships wherein had always lain adventure.
Remembering those nights Margaret and Suzie - the sailor's friends
Prospered fully by surrendering themselves,
Remembering too, but some yards from Lovell's Wharf;
I lost what little innocence I had stored.

Baby-Steps

Complicated as it may be we all take the baby a step into the light; or back light of our life, Generally we never took the time to really slow~down and inhale that one last breath before growing~up at A fast PACE.
But we manage to keep the water~afloat above gravity feet, blasting through the strucktured build that we create, for our~selfs hoping not to fall abandonately apon natures knee.
We trust blindly against the world around us, looking for that one straight answer that no one can give, except for you, for no one knows better than you.
Yes, we may ask opinions, or may know the answer, but do we really??? for it might be costly; this I will ask please take the necessary Baby~Steps to elabirate any road and take it with >> Make then the right turn around guided by our father above in prayer and LOVE to full~fill the blessings that are yet still to come.

Wen

Wen

Deelnemer-wenner van tong en van lip
wys my hoe my kanse my dalk mag ontglip
Gereed en gesond en geoefen - Daar staan
die groot opponente. Elkeen in sy baan
Gespierd opgewarm - hul intimideer
‘n sielkunde oorlog. Hoe kan ek probeer?

‘n Knallende wegspring gee voorsprong aan my
Die ander atlete het agter gebly
Sal ek as ‘n wenner die wenprys behaal?
As ek nog my aandag op reuse bepaal?

…lê steeds vir my voor

Twintig Tien Tot Nou

Twintig tien tot nou

So vinnig soos jy inwurm… in troosprys vlees-genot
..en dink dat dit so lank sal hou; Pasop vir toekoms lot!
En as ek dan verkeerd mag wees – bewys dit dat jy het
presies gedoen wat ek kon sien; Die fout was niè ons bed!

As ek die feite reg verstaan; en my gedagtes dwaal
na daardie tyd toe hy besluit; my by my werk kom haal –

Twee jaar later, facebook wys…, jul foto amper naak!

Nou sê jy my dat ek verbrou en jou wou agterlaat?
Terwyl die laaste legkaartstuk jou sondes teen my haat
wil ek probeer om aan te gaan…; my lewe op te bou
in plaas daarvan om blindelings my drang te onderhou.

Ek draai my rug finaal op jou, maak jy maar soos jy moet.
Mag hy jou gelukkig maak. Mag jy hom alles gee.
Ek was my hand onskuldig met - my vredevol’ gemoed
terwyl ek dan die laaste traan…; hier van my wang af vee.

Hopeful Thinking

Peace is the mental
grease for resistant
thoughts. Moving ever
so smoothly towards
our hearts. Final results,
is laughter among our selfs.

If I Could Change the World

Bugs, spiders and an insect-free world,
Dangerous animals were gone,
Snakes disappeared,
Crocodiles, alligators, and sharks,
No longer exist,
Children could swim happy and free,
Nothing was alive that could hurt people,
Viruses colds and flu evaporated,
Sickness illness departed,
People never got the taste for animals,
Vegetables filled the earth,
Growing without planting,
Reseed like grass,
Nuts and berries ever abundant,
Pollination just happened,
A generous rich evergreen coverage,
Ready ripe succulently beautiful,
Juicy fruits sprouting everywhere,
Hanging from our houses, walls and gates,
The earth would germinate and shoot buds,
Without any help from humans,
Life would be so easy,
Even children could feed them selfs,
People would be slim and healthy,
The waters pure for drinking,
No additives or preservatives,
Or factory produced foods,
No evil could exist in people,
Our brains could only feel love.
If only I could change the world.

The Storm

I always thought that we'd be together united as one for all eternity forever hand in hand soulmates, soaring in the see through the heavens, feeling the gentle warm kiss of the Sun on our faces and the cool soothing caress of the moon on our backs
 at peace and in love
one day without warning are sky suddenly darkened its hue and electricity filled the air
lightning and thunder stormed there menacing selfs through our once peaceful skies and from nowhere it came
a single bolt of lightning White Lightning that was to become the catalyst of our fate
it struck us apart, wounding ever so deeply, not only our souls but splitting or entwined hearts in two
in the pain and confusion our hands are separated
and like inexperienced lovers we reached out for each other with no light to guide us
my hands frantic, afraid and desperate for yours
Your hands? I felt them ever so briefly like feathers as your fingertips brushed mine
hoping to find what we sought searching anxiously for a hold instead there was nothing to grasp accept the dark still air
all we wanted was to be as we were but this was not meant to be
Oh My Love all the gods in the heavens heard my anguish and pain filled screams as a plummeted to the cold dark planet below alone
startled and frightened by the visit illusions haunting my dreams I sometime later awoke
opening my eyes ready to confront this unknown yet I could not see without the strength of your love I was simply blinded
searching you out I crawled in my misery across infinite measures of that cursed barren dirt
time truly had stopped for me now A mere second seemed to last forever and I am quite certain that all time since the creation passed me by with every move I made all that seemed to make my heart continue to beat in its torn and ravaged state was my deep aching need for you but what was left of my being after that cruel and uninvited storm was merely a shell of all that you loved
only you have the power to heal me to make me whole again I must find you I must keep moving forward however lonely and painful the strife maybe for we must be together once again as one, for that is how we are destined to be, soaring endlessly through the heavens soulmates hand in hand. The Sun kissing our faces in the moon caressing our backs
