Best Seaocean Poems
i wish i could swim the pacific ocean and back.
and when i came back to sit in front of a burning burning fire
until it dried me to the bone.
and for my skeleton to be hung above your bed
to act as a catcher of your night terrors
and it would work
because you would know that i was magical.
because i swam the whole pacific ocean and back.
for you.
I seek a dip in the ocean
Its cold, aggressive waters are therapy
It seems all of my troubles can slip away
With the rift of the turbulent sea
Walking across the warm sand
Its texture both heals and wounds
Reshaping and softening the skin
Working its way into every groove
That initial lick of ocean froth
As innocent as a salty kiss
Betrays the nature of its icy embrace
And the magnitude of the abyss
The current is stronger than I am
I am tossed and thrown about
At times I am not sure I will wind up
At the surface or be pulled down!
But once beyond the sluicing waves
I am in a paradise of tranquility
Alone, awakened and restored
I swim until the shore can barely be seen
Once home, the ocean scent lingers
Perfuming my hair and dreams
And as I nap, I am carried back
To the lullabye of the sea
The splendid patency of the ocean so vast
Becalmed my eyes when the sunset orangish
Rimmed the depth of the blues far…
The beacon beams glinted by the ebbtide
The waves bravoed to the het up coast
By the breaking of the eventide.
Aweary the trawler homed with a news
The ocean rage is being followed by the force of the veil
Masses at mass bespoke towards their deity
By the voice so augured he willed their existence
A numb so spread met with the aura of peace.
Lasted by the night awaited for the day break
The sun adorned with its rays from the east aglow sky
Forenoon prayers prolonged by the sunrise
Joggers by the coast breathed by the sand
The artisan appealed the passerby by his sand built avatar.
The daylight brightened the coast to colours
A joyous time for the mankind to savor
Maidens in maillot and men in slacks
Plunged themselves into the ocean so vast
Far there the dolphin dance
The waited lensman captured the ken thence.
Beneath the blue sky
Sailing tropical currents,
Basking in the sun.
*
Basking in the sun,
On the surface of beauty,
The ocean bestows.
*
The ocean bestows
The most beautiful soundscape,
The music of waves.
I’m a sunken ship.
already thousands of feet deep.
a beauty deserted to the ocean floor to adore.
to be cherished by the depths and nothing more.
where debris will only cover.
no one will enter the darkness and find the core,
because this ship has a secret lover.
Many will jump into this veiled sea
but few will risk the deathly swim.
fools will search, find, and plea,
but their hopes will be very dim.
Bubbles will dribble up,
fish will swish by,
but only one is invited inside.
The diver must have a big tank of air
because the swim is a hassle,
and those alive have been rare.
The one that will find this ‘ol piece of junk,
will find it to be a castle
like a pearl amongst an ancient treasure trunk.
No matter the appearance of how it has aged,
this scuba diver can’t help to gaze.
Admiring every trim and bolt that was laid,
even the scuff markings in sight,
it is an artistry in the shade.
Once you have found this ship in the depths,
trying to enter is an effort even more.
Be wise how you come about this ship in the sea,
be creative and crafty but don’t give up easily.
Many have abandoned it;
which is why it is on this ocean floor,
because it’s worth enduring for.
