Best Roundish Poems
There was a time when I was young,
My cousin Glenn and I,
Did fall in love with one young man,
Whose face and form were fine.
He had a twinkle in his eye,
A movie star like smile,
And it was said we'd walk a ways,
To glimpse his fine profile.
He worked aft school a mile away,
From where we lived back then,
And we decided we'd walk that way,
And mayhap talk to him.
We dressed ourselves and combed our hair,
To look our very best,
To see which one that he might choose,
To be his special guest.
My cousin stole her mother's clothes,
A jumpsuit of bright yellow,
In hopes she'd catch his eye and then,
He'd be her steady fellow.
The one piece suit was very tight.
It looked like she had poured,
Her roundish form into a great,
Big, giant gourd.
She smiled and asked me if I thought,
The suit did show her figure.
She couldn't sit, could hardly walk,
"It could be somewhat bigger."
She didn't care for what I said,
And we set out to walk,
The mile to where "Adonis" worked,
And mayhap watch him gawk,
At two such beauties as we were,
As we set about a drill,
Upon the trampolines where we,
Would show athletic skill.
Glenn was first, she gave a jump,
Into the air so high,
And as she sailed aloft her suit did burst,
I watched the pieces fly.
Like a big yellow balloon it popped,
And flew in all directions.
She hit the ground and screamed and ran.
So much for grace and perfection.
I laughed until I wet my pants,
And so we both lost face.
She hid in the bathroom and tried to pin,
The pieces back in place.
With pins I got at the snack bar,
From Adonis, my face beet red;
For he could see I'd peed my pants.
We both wished we were dead.

So tell me dear, what have you there
above your pouty lip?
I can do little more than stare
where tempered words oft slip.
With roundish humor, there it sits
a black spot on a stage-
a dancing actress camping glitz
attention- all the rage.
The charm of such a simple mark
so fortunately placed,
will conjure up a coy remark
how loveliness is graced.

i won’t forget the times when i made roundish letters
in blue-black ink
as if i were crushing blackberry beads
perfumed and wild
and in the eyes of that man by chance
it was always the same toulouse-lautrec painting
with my watery blue dress
like a cloud in an armchair the color of rose petals
frozen rotted in november
with his checkered hat thrown
accidentally over my raincoat
i wondered too much
why he squeezed the whole sun between his teeth
while laughing
i continued to write about the dreams
like white dead pigeons
my lord
with the heart shielded between wings

If you leave a mouse a telescope,
I'm sure he'll look through it.
If you leave that scope upon a hill,
I'm sure that's where he'll sit.
If you leave it there in dark of night,
I'm sure he'll try to find a light
that's round and bright and made of Brie,
then gaze upon it happily
while wond'ring how to shake it down
and share it with his friends in town
because, well that's what mice would do.
If I were one, I'd do that too.
But I'm sure if he cannot displace
that roundish piece of cheese from space,
he'll set his little eyes upon
the specks of sparkling Parmesan
that permeate the purple night:
though small, they're just as good a light.

According to our urologist the world is flat
The bladder is full, roundish and soft
Peas are green. Pee is yellow
He is a happy fellow small and plump
Hails from a land more advanced than us
Where things fall off all of a sudden
Before the pub but after the postal stop
Gone too soon for their own good
Oblivion, urology is all the same stuff
One man's nothing is another man's logic
There are no countries called Urine-Nation
No planets called Urine-Trouble
But there could be an infection down under
What is that thing floating around the sun?
Doctors say it is a figment of your imagination
Our Urologist will say anything for a dollar
He will swear the Earth is a pancake or Truffle
Or a cosmic muffin if paid enough

We have different meanings for this little word…
It can mean to incite or urge, even encourage one to commit to something…
A roundish reproductive body, produced by a female, of certain animals as birds, turtles and some snakes, too.
You can eat most eggs, if you like…
Can eat them fried, poached, boiled, scrambled or deviled…
You can make many other, things using eggs as well…
Enjoy your eggs anyway, you like them…

devour her crust I must
greedily feasting the
roundish skin and ochred
pumpkin muscle within
since barely I could toddle,
away from baby's bottle
I've relished her delicious
full fall-moon feast
at least calming my distraction
flaking away stress and dismay
to pointed surfeit I'd bet
that entirety would be
my inevitable terminus
replete upon languished
fundament so heaven-bent
to drowse and dream yet
more pumpkin pie it'd seem

The Unigrape
Beneath the thin skin covering
The unigrape in orb like style
Contemplates its roundish state
Speaks in fruitlike shapes and sounds
Sits on and on alone for hours
Well, actually all the time
NASA likes that fact
And inspired by the unigrape to do a mission
A flight to the moon titled, “Unigrape on Moon”
Involving isolation matters
It does not cry in public
But loves a little wine after hours
In years to come if still alive
The moon will be its new found home
You will see one single grape alone
Just above the lunar horizon shining
That is, If still around and…. round

There's this roundish fellow named Moe Hyatt
Who's beginning a strange liquid diet
Hyatt will only drink kegs
'No, Moe!' his poor liver begs
Then all his innards start to run riot

SHES THE QUEEN OF SMOOTH
SHE KNOWS HOW TO PLAY WITH HER VOICE
HER FACE WAS ROUNDISH
WHEN SHES SMILING SHE WAS LIKE A NEW BORN BABY
THE FIRST TIMW SHE TALK TOME SHE WAS LIKE AN ANGEL
SHES MY MONALISA
SHES MY LAND
I DON'T THINK THERE IS ANYONE CAN BE LIKE HER
I CALL HER MY STAR
WHEN SHE SPEAKING I FEEL CHARMED
WHEN SHES HUGING ME SHE USED TO
WHISPER IN MY EAR AND SAY YOU ARE MINE

A pufferfish is soft, roundish-sluggish.
Some even say slightly clownish.
Seemingly an easy target...
But when provoked it puffs up and flashes a set of sharp spines.
If engulfed, it'll stick in the throat of its bullhorn aggressor.
It's also highly toxic.
When predators attempt to cancel it, they'll likely die in the process.
If you hadn't noticed pufferfish are popping up everywhere.
Sometimes I see a hint of a pufferfish in the mirror.

A city up on the south bank of the Aire River,
Mossy with long 'loggy' greens,
Land-sides,flat like table tops,
Scenery,with a glance, so pretty.
Cool breeze,fresh like juiced lemonade.
Archival historical Art Gallery,
John Lewis' eye-catching towers,
Broad lanes along tall piles,
Roundish loopy ring roads;
bejeweled with shiny traffic lights.

Yorkshire's pride...........!
A winsome English county.

Blank verse
My angel I have heard on high.
I'm lost. I don't know who I am.
You seem so high up in the sky,
and I am really in a jam.
By the tinkling of heaven's chime,
I ask myself, suppress a grin,
where have you gotten to this time?
What kind of trouble are you in?
I do not know quite where I am -
maybe, to the slaughter led,
just like Mary's little lamb,
except that I will soon be dead.
I can hear your voice so shrilly.
I will find you, my little lamb.
You needn't be dramatic, silly.
If I must use GPS, I can.
Oh, my angel, I must confess,
I don't know the reason why
I got myself into this mess -
a whale's belly? I want to cry.
Oh my gosh, my little fool -
find you? I wonder if I can?
Don't worry, my precious jewel,
my angel eyes begin to scan.
When grim imagination starts to roam,
anywhere on earth's roundish sphere,
you are always here in our home,
and your angel always finds you dear.

Washed the roundish rock off in the pond.
Metallic sizzle smell came from her center.
Reminding me of a sauna’s fragrance.
Mica and feldspar glinted under the water.
I lift her out and sense a metallic scent.
Instantly visualizing iron on a rainy day.
Memories flood my brain
Other rocks collected and cherished
Thrown out by a prissy mother
Another treasure! I dunk her into the gentle water.
Next to miniscule minnows
She comes out smelling like rain.
