Absolutely enchanting I thought ~
As I drew the curtains wider, to allow in a bit more light....
Returning unto the canvas and dipping my brush
Into a slightly brighter shade of beige
Thinking perhaps just a touch more violet, a dab of red, and, a stroke of amber
Until, I heard the door bell ring, breaking, this mesmerized trance....
Sitting my palette down, and lying my brush aside, atop a colored cloth
I turned to see who it was, that was there?
"Hold on dear, I shall be right back," I whispered
As she smiled amid a radiance, that stopped me within my steps
How rarely seldom does one get a chance like this I thought?
If it is truly important and I know them
Then they shall kindly call, or possibly even leave myself a note
Besides, what an unpleasant reflection it would be, to even but for an instant
Interrupt this dream....
For no greater beauty have I ever beheld, nor have I ever found, then this
Perfection within everyway I believe, is whom she is ~
"What's wrong," she asked, "are you not going to see who it is?"
Glistening eyes, as I fixated upon her own, mirrors, of an endless hue
"No, not right now dear," as I then, poured her a drink
Smiling as she gracefully arose, proposing a toast I said
"To this moment, this day, to you and I, this time, and, amore"....
As I slowly reached forth my hand, to tenderly caress her rosen cheek
And to glide my fingers gently, through her shining auburn hair
"Here dear," leading her loveliness softly, "here, sit right there
That the sunlight may embrace your boundless beauty
This magnificence of your splendor, these wonders, from whom you truly are" ~
Glowingly she smiled once more, as with a passion, I then kissed her perfect lips
"I love you," she uttered
While as the mornings dew lit rays, reflected upon her enchantedness
As a glittering arose about my own heart, and a warming, within my now raptured soul
"So do I my love, I love you more," I returned
Retrieving my brush, my palette and my cloth
Exchanging glances amid knowing thoughts, these souls, so intertwined ~
"Excellent, do not move dear"
As always was captured forever, within, this moment right here....

Ich sehe dich an
im Sterben
du wartest nur ab
nichts essen
Mir wirst du fehlen
Mir ist doch langweilig
Du magst Gedichte
und Ingwer
ich liebe dich
Wir warten ab
nichts essen
weil wir dir Gesellschaft leisten
du brauchst sie aber nicht
denn du schläfst
wirst nie erwachen
du träumst
für die Ewigkeit
vom Dunkel
ich liebe dich
du bist gestorben
Vater war bei dir
Er ist leer
seine Tränen tragen die Last
von den letzten drei Jahren ab
ich soll traurig sein
ich will weinen
ich weine nicht
du mochtest Gedichte
und Ingwer
ich liebe dich
du wirst beerdigt
wieder bei deinem Mann
wir singen
werfen Rosen ins Grab
sie leben noch
alle weinen
will ich auch
ich soll weinen
bin traurig
ich schäme mich
ich liebe dich
alle sind gegangen
unterwegs
ich bleibe allein
und weine
du mochtest Gedichte
und Ingwer
ich liebe dich
When time has come... / Wenn die Zeit gekommen ist... / Cuando ha llegado el momento...
When time has come to say good-bye
to leave this earth in time,
then let me rest under a sad cypress
close to a field of rye.
And let my shroud of white
through darkest nights yet shine.
But don't lay roses down for me
as blossoms wilt to soon
and let a red moon rising high
for everyone to see

ROSEN BLUT
And when the final times had come
to be known by all,
as the doomsday rock
had set its way,
those who had seen its course
chose they must not remain in silence
but prophesy even about the end.
And people laughed and believed us not
until it showed as a star
into the morning sky.
And then they did say look
how many risings of the sun
have we left?
And the children did ask
how big can it be?
Then said the heralds, yea
even bigger than the sky.
Look!
This is what will end our time....
....and together will they rule
over the world
and all they that dwelled there-on
for the rest of its days
which were numbered and few.

Our Union
My eyelashes bat
After meeting your gaze
From across a
Crowded subway haze.
My pupils dilate when they
Look back at you over dinner
Where we drank wine and ate.
My feet dance with glee as we
Fall hopelessly in love
In the midst of summer heat.
My heart splits apart
To become your wife
And your forever sweetheart.
My legs spread
Open to bare new life
And see your cheeks rosen.
My arms push
You away at night,
I'm too tired for a sex life.
My fists rage and tears pour,
When I discover your arms
Embracing another lover
After coffee one early morn.
My ears listen to
Your words of regret and
Pleads for a second chance
For things to be like
When we first met.
My fingers dial
Seeking third party counsel
To repair our shattered union.
My brain waves
Shift to understand your
Thoughts and your feelings,
While I bitterly convey my own.
My hand re-opens
To forgive your sins
And make amends.
My lips part to
Receive your kiss in the
Night in a sea of
Skin in our warm bed.
My heart flutters,
We’ve truly become one,
Years after we bore our son.
Strands of silver, tinsel fine,
Thin, flyaway,
Winged, widow’s peak
Widows’ weep
Bubba, Grandma, alone.
Up the dark tenement stairs
Cross tiny, tile squared floors
To the always open door…
Bubba, Grandma.
Aged, ageless, wiry, warm,
Open arms welcomed long tooth-grin
Gretel’s Grandma welcomes in.
Bubba, Ma.
Steel- spined, crow-eyed, soft skinned,
Gathered in, captured,
With the chicken bone.
The scent of ancient tomes,
Mothballed down comforters,
Brisket, kugel-noodle soup,
The feasts of Kings,
David and Solomon

~ Painting, Mona Lisa ~
Mrs. Rosen, that was a brave thing to do.
You saved the preacher when he couldn’t get through.
While under water, you disregarded your own safety.
You pulled that heavy door off of him and he got free.
That was the most courageous thing without a doubt.
It was too bad that your heart gave out.
Everyone in the theater wanted you to survive.
Six, including your husband, managed to get out alive.
While the capsized ship managed to stay afloat,
the survivors got out through the bottom of the boat.

The odour of roses
Still lingers in icy air
In a fullmoon night
Snow left tracks on barren soil
Winter arrived too early
---------------------------------------------

Lavender tinted
Two serpents of the sea
Chafing scales
Twisting through
Kuroshio Currents
Prancing Minions
Sirens of the deep
Bathing in rosen lilac
