Rain and Me

A happy day.
You were the sun.
I was Earth.

Nothing could disrupt the gravitational pull;
Nothing could stop physics,
Our law of gravity.

A cloud breaks rank, showering
Me in damp moonlight,
And I see your face
Align in the stars.

Is this you with that
Last goodbye
And last kiss,
Or
Is the night simply fooling me?

You had only said those words of
Nothing at all.
You had only signaled a meeting with
A kiss
Which felt so penultimate.

The sun has already passed now,
That night has come.
I stand here.

Near the pond where you’d
Taught me to skip stones,
I realize I’ll never see you again.

You have left it to the night to break my heart;
Silently invisible wind is the love I always felt,
Chilled grass is the heart in my chest,
Each beat scared of vulnerability.

You had only dampened those words of
Nothing at all.
You had only drenched a meeting with
A kiss
Which felt so penultimate.

The sun has gone now.
That night has come.

Everything I knew of you is now
Buried within these raindrops.

The sun has gone now.
That night has come.

I have tears.

Of Highland Breeze

His words like kisses, soft and light,
caress her rose-stained smile,
a heathered breeze on summer nights,
versed whispers to beguile.

With tenderness and silken brush,
sweet inklings of a scene
unfolds impressions, paints a blush,
she reads his thoughts between.

Upon his rune her heartbeat trips
through poppy fields in flower,
to golden sands where romance grips
in moonlit midnight hour.

The calming lilt of lapping tide
gives cadence to their love,
entwined as couplets, passions ride
‘neath liquid stars above.

Held apart by many a mile
mere dreams are hers this night,
his words alone caress her smile
with kisses, soft and light.

Your Kiss

Fluttering, my heart goes as you draw near
Stuttering, the words that come from my mouth
Warmth, that flows through my body
Sweaty, my palms start to become
Wet, my lips are as they wait
Heaving, my chest goes as my breathing grows deeper
Trembling, my hands can’t seem to stop
Quivering, my body from head to toe
Staring, my eyes at your soft lips
Holding, my face in your hands
Hot, your breath on my lips I drink in
Pausing, before our lips touch
Fading, everything around me
Softly, your lips meet mine
Closed, my eyes stay as I get lost in the moment
Melting, into your arms I start
Searching, words to describe what I feel
Parting, my lips with your tongue
Dancing, our tongues begin
Gasping, for breath between each kiss
Eagerly, we want more
Exploring, our hands all over each other
Intense, as we look into each other’s eyes
Passion, in every move we make
Wishing, you could feel this inside me

More Than Words...

Once again as my pen fails the page
In a humble but sincere effort
To honor my loving sage

As I ponder and attempt to deduce
In a low, soft chuckle, “more than words”
My rhetorical excuse

By function; words exact, color and define
And with Webster’s sword levied I chase
Definition of you into the sublime

Concept, newly born of insight and ash
Presents no attempt at justice
So its fate is sealed to trash

And alas, as a thousand times tense
I seek to corral feelings
By pen within paper fence

For moment’s sake, suppose these words I cannot cage
I humbly offer in place of love song
The feelings that surround this page

Beauty

How is it, that beauty could silence me
When I first saw you, I was speechless
I denied my reaction. I pretended
I pretended that I never sat in silence staring at your photo
That I never closed my eyes, to sear the image
That I never breathed in slowly, to imagine your scent

I knew from the second I saw you
There was more than physical beauty, there was inner beauty
I knew from the second I saw you, there was passion for life

When I first saw you, I was speechless
I couldn't find the words to describe you
Because there are no words so beautiful... as you

Does He Even Know What He Does To Me

How seeing the smile on his face
How it exposes the dimples he tries to hide
And it goes up to his eyes
To catch a glimpse of it
Makes my heart smile
That all it takes is a few words
To turn my day around
A few words to bring a smile
A few words to make me laugh
He does that to me
Does he even know what he does to me?
How when I am wrapped in his arms
The world fades away
It’s just us there existing
The safety and security I feel
The warmth of him
So comforting
In his arms I feel at home
And for that moment in time
Nothing seems to be missing
And life feels complete
Does he even know what he does to me?
When I look into his eyes
And he doesn’t look away
And stares right back into mine
How my breath catches in my throat
He doesn’t really know
Just how beautiful his eyes really are
How they see deep into my soul
How there’s a puddle at my feet
From the thawing of the ice around my heart
Does he even know what he does to me?
Even when I can’t think my day can worsen
All it takes is just the right words
From him to change my entire attitude
For him to bring a smile to my face
For him to bring a laugh in my throat
And that he wants nothing more
Than to be here to wipe away my tears
Does he even know what he does to me?
That I still get butterflies when I am waiting
Waiting to see him again
That my heart races and my palms sweat
It’s like sweet chaos inside of me
Then there he is and we embrace
And my hands tremble from it all
My voice quivers as much as I fight it
Because it’s so hard to contain my excitement
Does he even know what he does to me?
That he makes me feel free to let go
To show him the things I’ve hidden away
To want to take off the masks I’ve worn
To feel like I can let it all out and cry
That he brings out the best in me
How he is breaking these chains that bind
How he’s helping to heal these wounds of mine
If he only knew the comfort I felt
If he only knew how fast my heart races
If he only knew how much I want him here
If he only knew he’s the first person I think of when I wake
If he only knew he’s the last person I think of when I sleep
If he only knew this yearning inside
If he only knew how this wall is crumbling
If he only knew how my life is so much better
If he only knew of the happiness he gives me
Then he would know just what he does to me....

Lost Words

Speak the words that I so long to say.
They explode in a rush, my words fly away .
I left behind my previous worlds
I try to express to her, there is no words.
I look at that smile and her eyes don’t lie.
They dig in so deep I begin to cry.
Emotions run high like a million galaxy’s away.
She is my everything, my all that brightens the day.
When I go to bed and I lay there at night.
I feel her love and then grip it tight.
I drift of to sleep with her in my bed.
I know I’ll be dreaming she’s all over my head.
I welcome these new feeling and let them show.
I promise you this I will never let you go.

Thoughts of Losing You

I can’t grasp the thought of losing you,
Like a sea without waves, my heart is still.
I am lost, not looking for ways that are new,
You were my oxygen my lungs no longer fill.

I long to change the events that have transpired,
Wanting to keep writing the words that you love,
Hoping we can keep this relationship set fire,
So our dreams can be set free like a dove.

My love will last longer than any star,
It travels deeper than the core of the earth,
I will always find you no matter how far,
Even, if I must start over from birth.

Please accept these words into your soul,
Allow them to take root and plant deep,
Guard them from despair, a black hole,
For in them is my heart for you to keep.

My Sweetheart's Departure

Your departure is full of sorrow
but i am always sure you will return tomorrow

My feelings for you are very true
till my last breathe i long for you

When ever a trouble came on my way
you sighed and with a gentle smile you sent it away

I heard the words fun n laughter
after you entered in my life,I could invite them with pleasure

You are always by my side
patting up my back and stepping me towards success side

Dearest Sweetheart, these words are from bottom of my heart
till the universe ends ,i will save them in my love cart.

My Hearts Guarantor!

I love you
I swear I really do

The words are hard to say
But my actions show the way

The way I feel inside
Can be difficult to describe

For fear that love for me
In your heart may not reside

Quietly, my love for you grows
Until the day I can expose…

Expose what my heart truly feels
And break free of all these shields

So, patiently awaits the day
When those 3 words I can finally say

The day when fear is no more
And you’re my hearts GUARANTOR!

Lovers Muse

Oh fair maiden of sweetness fame
My tongue doth long to speak thy name
You shed a light upon my night
Envoking words of such delight
Beneath the stars, we play the game
In moonlights' glow, we entertain
We say the things we long to hear
The things that please a lovers ear
You stir up feelings never found
You make me think of words profound
I have to write. You have to read
It's like the sun that begs the seed
Before you know it, there's a rose
A lovely picture set to prose
Inspired by a friend of mine
Who loves to read my words of rhyme
So let me bring this to a close
Then you can see your nurtured rose

Love For Your Words

Your words, ohhh your words, they make me feel I am still there
I don’t see them coming and I feel like I am nowhere
I see you online and and it just brings out my smile
I wouldnt miss a chance to chat even if it is just for a while

I wish they were not smileys but your beautiful face
My heart would pump at the very sight like in a race
Your hmmm is so romantic and so pleasant is your hiii
I wish we could talk forever without ever saying a bye

I don’t feel like an idiot even when you laugh at me
Cause, all I can think of is your words i get to see
I can feel your emotions, which you want to let loose
Am happy am your friend when u had so many to choose

Your words are so charming and soothes my soul
Until you came in my life I thought there was no goal
I cherish every moment when you come to talk
I don’t see if it is daylight or if we are chatting in the dark

Three Little Words

I know I’ve said these three little words
More than just a few times
But they shouldn’t seem like a bunch of birds
Fluttering around with these rhymes

Those three little words mean much more
Than some people think they do
Now I don’t mean to be a bore
But I love hearing them from you

Those three little words that I say
To you, may seem so small
But to me, though I say them every day,
Are more than just an end to a call

Those three little words hold inside
What I cannot say, and feelings,
That I simply cannot hide,
Do you see how my heart sings?

Those three little words to me,
Mean what I hope they mean to you,
Because someday, I’ll be on one knee,
Saying them, “I love you.”

What If

These two words I dread.
Realizing that life is too short
To have regrets.

All that I want to say
Cannot make its way
Out of these lips
That want to meet yours
Face to face.

From my mind
To this paper
Are as far as these words will go.

One day
Someway
I will have to courage
To speak these feelings
That I have constantly been dealing with
That have no place to call home,
So this journal
Is where they stay safe and calm.

But these emotions of love and desire
Just want to escape
From my body who needs some relief,
Some clarity.
But I let them build up,
Like I am helping my inner being
And giving myself my own type of charity.

What if you'll never feel the same?
What if you will someday make me feel pain,
Heartbreak?
What if we try and fail?
What if one of us falls and the other sails?

These are the questions that I face,
That make me stay away.

However, what if optimism and hope conquer my fears
Of betrayal and disappointment?
And my heart fills with the remembrance
Of our good times and our laughter

So the question
That really should be answered is:
What if we fall in love and live happily ever after?
