Three Little Words

I know I’ve said these three little words
More than just a few times
But they shouldn’t seem like a bunch of birds
Fluttering around with these rhymes

Those three little words mean much more
Than some people think they do
Now I don’t mean to be a bore
But I love hearing them from you

Those three little words that I say
To you, may seem so small
But to me, though I say them every day,
Are more than just an end to a call

Those three little words hold inside
What I cannot say, and feelings,
That I simply cannot hide,
Do you see how my heart sings?

Those three little words to me,
Mean what I hope they mean to you,
Because someday, I’ll be on one knee,
Saying them, “I love you.”
