Premium Member I Simply Refused To Ride With Death

When I refused to ride with Death
He tied my hands and feet,
Then tossed me in with some poor guy
He'd grabbed up off the street.

Oh, what a hurry he was in!
He slammed it to the floor.
We sat in wide-eyed, abject fear,
Each clinging to a door.

While whizzing past the school, we saw
The children run and play.
We passed the fields where tractors hummed
On this, our judgment day.

We captives introduced ourselves,
Shook hands, and sadly talked.
When Death heard unfamiliar names,
He gasped, slowed down, and balked.

He made a sudden stop beside
A swelling of the ground.
He scratched his head, he murmured low,
And then he turned around.

" 'Tis centuries until your time!
I've made a grave mistake.
Seems I misread the pick-up sheet.
You're free, for goodness sake!"

Refused To See

There are still nights
Up alone, I think of you
How right you were
But still how very wrong
How can that be?
I battle amongst myself
Temptation to call
Just want to hear your voice
See your face
Though I know it’s wrong
I want to touch your lips
With mine
Remember the kiss I left?
How sweet and gentle
The lips of an angel
You gave it what you could
I asked for more
You had nothing left
Though you looked
So I left
Feeling you were used
What you gave me
Was what I was after
I refused to change
Refused to see

The Church Refused To Christen a Baby

In Jesus's day they got thrills from fire,
todays world we put wheels on flyers,
they didn't use drills to find supplies
and they hadn't the skills to fly the skies.

The Bible is wise and full of wisdom,
it gives ideas of the Holy Kingdom,
and teaches ways of Gods Holy system,
these ideas are often used to write a poem.

But those religious poems lack creativity,
and being creative is key to poetry,
now don't see this as negativity,
but a chance to reassess humanity.

If you reorder the words that were written before
the all-time best seller just gets shuffled some more.
It won't impress God when you knock on his door,
because God made all so that poem is not yours.

O' the lordeth rewardeth those so loyal,
and that loyal few repeateth the sequence,
while non-believers see their soul get spoiled
and are damned to Hell for all existence.

To sin within a life of thirty odd years
receives a punishment O so harsh,
but God made all including q***rs
to punish his own creation what a farce.

The Bible is wholly a man-made creation,
used for power and Holy war devastation,
different religions control in different nations,
but none have had God or Holy interventions.

The Church wouldn't Christen me as a baby,
denied the chance for the good lord to save me.
They told my parents you MUST attend church each Sunday,
but that Church ultimatum seems somewhat unholy.

The Church says it represents an immortal,
and its duty to guide souls to a heavenly portal,
but to do it Gods way and refuse a baby is unlawful,
so how can I ever overlook this behaviour so awful.

I won't argue a God there might be,
but when I read poems praising God almighty,
he is separate to religion, at its core is a gang,
with a status and wealth from the coins you brang.

A baby they refused,
an action I cannot excuse,
and this has formed a view,
that it's a system of persons being used.

Refused To Die

I held the stumbling humanoid,
learning to stand on two feet- scared as an alien.
I was his cradle and his playground—
even before he was called *****Sapien.

Watched him crawl on hands and feet,
watched him grow, move and trail
His hungry mind lost all its restraint.
Unknown quest beckoned his first sail.

Wandering unhinged in the oceans midst,
lost his color, lost his curl.
carrying in his lungs, an air unknown,
came back white as a polished pearl

Uttering venom, harsh and foreign,
guarded by spear, sword and the gun—
crushing all with his reeking greed
placed himself on a glittering throne

Digging my gut for diamond,
chafing oil off of my skin,
pulling out my heart of gold,,
making mules of his kith and kin

Chained his brothers, labeled them for sale,
subjected them to conditions sinister
Bent and flogged all their lives,
sisters raped at will of their master

I silently watched the macabre play,
where no one but he smiles.
My eyes oozing out warm tears,
to fill at least a dozen Niles.

Devoured my arms and thighs for dinner,
bathed me with blood each night
as he danced in a trance unashamed.
But I Africa did not die,not quite.

She Refused To Settle For Less

Among the keepers of hope, and
Along the destroyers of faith-
World filled with doubting minds-
Where truth is weighed behind reason
Leaving people at the crossroads-
With markings of confussion all-over
Everyone picking sides
To embrace sense of belonging,
She refused to settle for less,
Carry her light with both hands-
And walk with pride and dignity,
While many hide with shame,
She stood the ground with faith-
When many try to justify immorality,
She refused to be shaken by the strong winds-
Never wanted to be victim of circumstances
Even when many were selling their souls
People sinking to the wilderness,
She still refused to settle for less
Holding tight to her victorious plan-
Bringing forth the message....
In this journey to achieve the greater reward-
One should refuse to settle for less

Why She Refused His Kiss

He drew her close and tried to paint a kiss on her soft cheek,
angrily she refused, freed herself and closed the door on his face,
her choked voice came from inside,'Where's my choco you promised, Dad?'

The Day the World Refused To Shine

The sun didn't shine that day
Birds refused to sing
The sky was black with anger
Poets couldn't rhyme

She was a happy girl
Her parents loved her so
While asleep in her fluffy bed
She sat straight up CRASH!

The moon didn't shimmer
The stars were onyx
The flowers didn't grow
And grass didn't turn green.

The girl thought she was alone
Without a friend in sight
Then her Uncle came
To take her in the night.

Dogs didn't whine
Cats didn't pounce
Fish didn't swim
And birds didn't take flight.

As the girl grew older
She met an incredible man.
They married under
The pale moon light.

Suddenly the grass sprouted
Jumping towards the sky!
The sun gleamed luminosity
Across the cold, dark sky.

The young lady had a trio of children
Crawling up her legs
Her husband gently gave her a peck
And embraced her sweet frame.

Suddenly the world came to life
Poets dreamed and lovers rejoiced.
The world was fresh again
And the girl was ecstatic.

The Little Spider I Refused To Kill- Part 1

The little spider walked under me
In the bathroom
I noticed him as he came towards me
I narrowed his space to come
He ran, hanging to his soul to flee
To the other side
I spoke
Go and I wont harm you
He paused standing still to listen
I took the tissue roll and swung it behind him
As if a signal to run
He ran, with his eight long legs
Across the bathroom
Hiding behind the small cabinet
I smiled to him
As mercy to never kill
A spider like him…

The Man Who Refused Water

I had a glass of water
I gave it to you,
And you splashed it all over me
Because you believe
You'll taint the water
Or the water will cease to be water
If it's given to you
So you choose to remain parched
Skin dry, lips cracked, hair brittle
It's plain to see you're thirsty
You crave that water
But you'll never take it
And I can't help but think you're foolish
For denying yourself
For restricting yourself from happiness
And salvation from man

The Refused Is the Confused

Heart with Joy suffused,
Later Help refused!
So, No Hopes infused,
It’d remain confused…

A Factory Worker,
For twelve years Dock Worker;
One could not be great,
If one would just wait.
“Who does jams his gate
To walk with poor gait:
Who does ends up ‘Poor,’
About this ‘For Sure’

Denied sponsorship
He won’t sail his ship:
The Refused, Confused!
Confused, The Ill-Used.

Snowfall

He said it was muddy. I refused to believe it as it was snowing.

We were on a high avalanche.
But we were both too advanced in this world!

He said it was snowing. I refused as it was snowfall.

That led to a never-ending snowball!

Refused

I walked with scents and beauty

Redwoods, lilies, pines, morning glory's

Camped in darkness amist shinging stars

Just for future stories

Water gushing with force

Shooting with grace off beaten rocks

Crisp air for a last breath

A door to which I knock

Please let me enter

I feel my deeds are done

Refuse me not for I'm tired

Of the rising sun

The doors stayed closed

I'm ignored yet once again

Unknown if for kindness

Maybe I need one more sin

Unpopular Questions Number 4: Hitler

"Mein Kampf" held the clue for you and Europe
You hoped Hitler would destroy Soviet Russia, then itself

Game Theory, realpolitik, so-called political scientists say, "realism"
O how many ways we refused to help Jews - US refused refugees till 1941!
Don't hate me: these are facts of history. All Gandhi & King ask: change!

NOTE: By 1939 Mein Kampf sold over 5.2 million copies and was translated into 11 languages. Think again if you assume some of these languages were Arabic and Zulu, Sanskrit and Chinese. Hitler was in prison in 1925 for attempted putsch against the government in Bavaria, but served 9 months of his 5 year term, during which he began dictating Mein Kamof to Rudolph Hess, fellow "nazi."

Premium Member His mother refused

The mother refused
her son's decay,
denied he was dead.
She refused
her dead sun turned
into a vampire.
and infecting others.
She refused
her vampire son
sucking her blood.
She shut her eyes
to all the dread
refusing that he was dead.
