Jesus, I Need Victory Over a Habit

Jesus, I Need Victory Over a Habit!

This habit has a hold of me. ..
I can’t seem to break it!
I’ve tried many times, but I can’t “shake it!”

I don’t know what to do, or where to turn…
When I tell others about it.
 They’re not concerned…

What should I do, in a situation like this?
It seems like my life is just a big mess!

The satisfaction I wanted, I haven’t obtained.
I’ve myself and no one else to blame…

Many discouraging thoughts
have entered my head.
Many nights I cry out, before going to bed…

I can’t think or do anything like I once did.
I don’t know how much longer,
 I‘m going to live.

Can you help me Jesus? I know that you can.
There’s no one else who’ll listen
 or understand.

I’m going to get on my knees and begin to pray…
I’ll ask for God’s help and start TODAY!

I trust his power to break this habit of mine…
This is the hour and the right time!

I need true freedom and a love that’ll last.
Everything I’ve tried… Disappears fast!

To you Lord Jesus, I give a life that’s broken.
“Please come into my heart”
  are the words spoken.

Help me Lord to have victory within…
And thank you Lord for being my friend!

Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here

Abandon Hope All Ye
 Who Enter Here

Ever the edifice
The bold and self-serving statue
Proud ego stamped
In the courtyards and squares
Of those who have diminished ( ordinary )

Ever the hero who by guile
Steals the heroes burial
With self sacrificial offerings of ballot boxes ( rigged )

Ever the flag waving
For the faceless dictators
Who by money and army medals adorned
Assume control
Via coup d'état ( or money )

Ever the religious fanatic
Behind Iattola, priest, missionary and Papist
Ever the quiet and raucous rapist
Of faith

Ever the secret of power hunger ( sanctioned )
Allowed to dictate
Through political expediencies
Ever the murder of country men
To rule the country

Ever the nationalistic barrage of pride
For coloured cloth
Defines identity
And not humanity ( human )

Ever the innocent left to bleed
To fill the coffers of nameless greed
And ever the hate to feed
The racial, political and religious idiocy ( bigotry )

Ever the door which opens
For men and women returning home
With the triumphal marches
Of black body bags

Ever the tear gas, riot shield and rubber bullet
Ever the faces of Tienanmen Square
Ever the bodies of The World Trade Centre
Ever the terrorism of lies
Ever the truth denied
Ever love defiled

Ever the innocent left to bleed
To fill the coffers of nameless greed
And ever the hate to feed
The racial, political and religious bigotry ( idiocy )

Ever the door which open
Welcoming home
Mothers and Fathers
From their long days labours ( ordinary )

Hem of the Garment

Pain, pain and pain, with never a pause,
Could I hear the sound of laughter?
Only around me and everywhere, but –
Never had I the chance to hear my own
Till that day, I heard Him coming!

Yelp, yelp and yelp of agony,
The ache and affliction through the years
Searched and groaned for healing someday
Hopes ‘n I shattered - this is destiny I greet,
Till that day, I saw the light of hope!

Cry, cry and cry, shedding the tears to dry
Had I mourned my sorrow out
Yet the torment within and out never fade
Never could I stop the flowing tears of mine
Till that day, my eyes had seen Him

Hope, hope and hope, I went through the crowd –
Of people crushing Him on every side
A few inches away from the healing
Stretched forth my hand to receive it –
On that day, I touched His garment hem!

Faith, faith and faith, filling my heart complete
Could I see my future, a happy me
With no pain and sorrow, no more tears to shed
But happy moments to surround me full
On that day, was I healed complete!

Fear, fear and fear struck me hard, hearing –
“Who art thou touched me? “ From him
Though his disciples said, people were –
All around Him, He knew He’d healed me,
On that day, though I thought it was in secret!

Joy, joy and joy, was I overwhelming with
Though I stood there afraid in front of Him –
And the confused crowd, He embraced me ‘n blessed,
I thought I found him first, but never had I realized –
Till that day, He had found me, in my mother’s womb!

                                                                       - Sarah Antony

Jesus Is Someone You Can Trust

Jesus Is Someone You Can Trust!

Jesus is someone you can put your trust in!
This can be the day
to have fellowship with him!

He’s someone who you can rely and depend on.
And is a friend that you can always lean on!

He’s someone who’s faithful and reliable!
His mercy and love are most valuable!

There’s majestic power in his sweet name!
Through him, salvation can be obtained!

There’s an abundant life
 that can be found.
In the goodness of Jesus
is where it abounds!

There’s coming a day when Christ will return.
Coming for his children will be his concern.

Will you be one who’ll reach out and believe?
Everlasting life is what
 you can receive!

To God be the glory!
For the good things he’s done!
All glory and honor to the father,
 spirit and son!

To T Hose Who Don'T Believe In God

To Those Who Don’t Believe In God…

To those who don’t believe in God…
 I’ve a question for you!
Have you taken the time to think of all he’s done for you?

You can say “I don’t believe in God,” if you want to.
But this doesn’t change the fact of how much he loves you!

You can think of all the arguments against God, if you insist.
How much longer will you doubt him? As you persist?

There shall come a day when death shall knock at your door.
And then you’ll find out what your life was meant for!

It was God who created you! And had a purpose in mind!
This was for him to have fellowship
 with all of mankind!

He sent Jesus to die for us! A sacrifice was made!
Mankind had a huge debt of sin that God ultimately paid!

I hope you’ll think a minute or two the next time you doubt him!
There’ll come a time when you’ll
feel very lonely without him!

There may be things about God you don’t yet understand.
But you can have the faith to accept his salvation plan.

Believing in God asks of faith and belief from your heart.
Getting on your knees before him
is a good place to start!

Allow his words of life and comfort to reach your soul!
He wants to do so much for you,
than you’ll ever know!

Proverbs Afterthought

Tired
of living the same,
day by day.
Here I stay,
stuck in a hypothetical rut.
Tires spinning,
I want to feel like enough.
Sick
of not forgiving myself.
Wisdom is wealth,
follow her now,
I just have to be taught how.
I'm learning how to follow through,
with chasing something new.
There is so much left to learn,
for a normal life I yearn.

GARDEN'S SACRIFICIAL LAMB JESUS

Let me pass
I'd go neither north or south
There's no need to react
I'm presenting myself
a living sacrifice
And my life no longer under law
God has given me a new one
No longer shall I sacrifice
A bullock rams or lamb
Jesus came died and became
are sacrificial lamb
He became the one
He died, sinless hug and rose
Again He rose again
Jesus is my garden

Life's Medication

LIFE'S MEDICATION

I feel this coloured pill
...of yours but still
I'd wish and hope these pills
Level out all your hills
...of pain and trauma till you heal
Because your health bill
Has been paid to the full so feel
The aura of serenity and thrill
...of what life's suppose to be
Because we're suppose to see,
That you and me
Are redeemed to be free
But for your medication
Is for a while enroute your glorification
Doesn't matter your spiritual qualification?
It does! Note this for your edification
So for life, give God your profound appreciation,
Its the all round wholeness prescription
And make that your daily medication
With the right dosage of meditation
Never forsake the assembly of the congregation
And you'll be the station the whole nation
Tune to; irrespective of the adversaries vexation
For you the whole world will stand at attention.
