A Strong Flame flickers
In the distance
Moving toward you
When it is time to shine,
Shine.
When the time has come
To dim your lights, be silent,
Speak with your eyes and heart.
Watch the new amber radiate in the midst.
Flickering flames are approaching;
Some have come to refuel you.
Prepare to welcome their glowing energy.
Receive them well.
When the givers of the new light
Come to embrace you,let them !
Remember: For all things, there is a season.
"You cannot forever be the giver",
become humble, as a gracious
receiver is also blessed.
Let them give, for it is written.
"It is more blessed to give, than to receive".
What is hidden in the passage is.
"Not allowing a person to give,
because of your pride,
is also cheating them out of their blessing”.
“Let them who hold the strong flames,
now restore you,".
And be grateful.!
Not all of the news apparently was true.
High-flying receiver, what happened to you?
A young pass catcher in the prime of his game,
gets cut from the team, and leaves in shame.
We only heard rumors about what you did off the field.
I wonder what else going around you will be revealed.

The big alibi is that you are paid too much money.

I could only hope someone else was

I could listen to its music all day and never

I recall it had been put down carelessly.

Complacent and common, somewhere it sat
until someone smart enough to see it
for what it was
took it up, held it close,
and would never let it go.
To become good receiver requires your permission,
It’s hard to give aid to a life that needs nothing,
For some “to not have” can seem weakness admission,
And absence is suddenly made into something.
In love, I can choose to “need” all that you offer,
The fact that you offer might be why I want it,
Just letting you into my life makes me tougher,
I exercise empathy, stand on no pulpit.
But gold medal status can’t make one accept gift,
You’re always at choice in accepting, rejecting,
Accepting too much gives a friendship a short shrift,
And love isn't served when a friend is projecting!
For someone to give there’s receiver requirement,
You sense now receiving is also gift giving?
Grace says we can't win points by any endearment,
What contest? Let's move on to loving and living!
The Bible does tell us that "giving is better,"
But 'works never save you' is God to the letter,
For 'giving' tricks some to think they're in control
(Though Grace is in fact only hope for the soul.)

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY OFFERING RECEIVER
Lord God, You are my offering Receiver
Who requires my sacrifice without blemish
Thank You for Your righteousness devoid of any tarnish
To wash me from being filthy and selfish
So I can be holy; and in sinfulness, I will not perish.
Lord God, You are my offering Receiver
Who corrects my constant doubting
Thank You for Your guidance toward Your wise directing
To bring me to Your forgiveness for my sincere repenting
So I can be cleansed; and Your Word, I keep on trusting.
Lord God, You are my offering Receiver
Who chastises my iniquity
Thank You for Your perfection against my impurity
To sanctify me with Your blood’s purging certainty
So I can be consecrated; and in Your will, I find security.
Lord God, You are my offering Receiver
Who disciplines my negligence
Thank You for Your instructions that uphold my faith’s persistence
To guard me from worries and unbelief so intense
So I can be prayerful; and in Your fellowship, I enjoy Your presence.
Lord God, You are my offering Receiver
Who checks my motive
Thank You for Your exhortations for my spiritual objective
To protect me from pride that is indeed destructive
So I can be humble; and to Your admonitions, I should be attentive.
Lord God, You are my offering Receiver
Who reinforces my heavenly calling
Thank You for Your compassion of care’s pulling
To set me in Your workmanship for service-settling
So I can be obedient; and by Your grace, grateful to Your love never failing.
Lord God, You are my offering Receiver
Who commends my faithful devotion
Thank You for Your mercy that helps me exercise dedication
To inspire me toward wholehearted submission to Your commission
So I can be worshipful; and in Your work, I enjoy ministerial function.
