ravenously ruled the rocky cave for many hundred years
fearfully fled to the firmament when a little lamp brought

United In The Depths Of Love's Ravenously Sweet Ardor

I
do not
cry,
this pain
soul deep stings the weeping heart
burns so very
intensely
the memories
the perished and
heartfelt sweetness
of Love's cherished
truths,'
the precious moments
the cool breeze,
the heights of adore
the feverish touch
of your lips
our nights of lovemaking
and sweetest morns
of my waking
with you,
your tangled blonde
hair and sultry lips
and that dawn's
ravishing smiles
upon our dynamic
new love, upon
our dynamite kisses
and our just being
we two.....

the truth
the passion,
heated waves
in our ocean where passion
burns so
very brightly
and its heart beats
for us, in tune with life
singing
to our two hearts
wedded, asking
only
each other
and begging
for more
days
and nights
welded
together
as
united souls
with
appetites
for love
and hungry
forever
for each
other
darling
you and I
stand
against the pains
of this dark
and bleak world
with nights
of sweet ardor
and days
of purest delights
wedded
hearts, spirits and
sensual minds
together,
you and I......

The Girl Who Ate the National Park

Today I present an old poem, written at least a decade before "Doubts". What this poem lacks in poetic format, and style, it reaps in sentiment.
Enjoy:

the Girl Who Ate the National Park

I was picking apples, from polystyrene
boxes, when she held aloft a spiky
green football and her excited voice
asked, “What do you call this?”
She named it durian. I didn’t know,
and pulled a lettuce from its packing.
Harvested multigrain rolls
from bakery bins, and hunted
sandwich ham from fridges.

I laid our picnic mat down
amongst market gardens, and planted myself
to grow in her company. Uncorked
a shiraz in a vineyard, and savoured
her smile. Pulled an apricot from the cooler,
in an orchard, and hungrily
consumed her words.

She took to the park's paths
like shopping aisles. Selecting ingredients
for a salad from green foliage shelves.
She chose a duck dish
as it flew above us, and decided on a fish,
as we watched it swim
beneath the waterfall.
Then as we left, she created a desert
from the trees.

Her touch stopped me. Rooted
me to the spot, where we ravenously
embraced. Our feelings blossoming
around us. Forming a canopy
which we took shelter under,
and bore fruit, that we ate together.
Our appetites sated.

When guilt
collides with my pleasure
and pain is too hard to measure
Escape is the elastic tether
that accompanies
my sensual physical bender

Tock tick tock
my emotional drop
for a second
hands feel time stop
Flipping out
as I body flop
liking being on the bottom
her bouncing on top
surrounding my need
with her hunger spot

Brown eyes
Black hair
I love touching her everywhere
especially there
I enjoy drowning
while being fully aware
My eyes reveal my selfish
while in that moment I don’t care
It feels like my sad is no longer there
as at her beauty I ravenously stare

She helps me
feed my need
as I release my seed
In that moment
a feeling of ecstasy
my illusion of being freed
I catch my breath
feeling my thoughts begin to bleed.
It seems even my sweetie
can’t unearth this weed.
Deep down I know
what I truly need.

A small note to explain the last line. During times of stress I am inclined to use physical aspects of our relationship to help silence my inner turmoil. At those times I would do better to look to God to calm my spirit. The physical can only temporarily satiate me.

She The Ravenous Queen, That Can Have All My Tomorrows

Ah that creamy chocolate
swirl
of gold-blasted passion,
it fingers roaming and
gifting deep titillating pleasures
with both our lips
that gift honey-breaded
sensational
love
a steaming arena
of delight
your body
its sexy curves
and ravenously
hot
hidden
oasis .....

O' my this soul
seeks none other
than you
my princess
with
that raven-black
smooth hair
luscious lips
ten mile
long
tanned legs
come with me
to our oasis
let us drink of
passion's sensational fruits
whilst
the Heavens
our song plays....

and watch the
fingers of dawn
gently caress
our beating
hearts
as we
seek what our
bodies
so need
you my dearest
my angel
my beautiful
queen.....

shall we forever
see the
rainbows
hear the
melody
and wake
to
dawn's
hot swirling '
breath.....

as we walk along
our white
sand beach
nothing around
but blue
ocean and
birds
we strip down
and upon
the white sand
make feverishly
deep love
just
you and I....

may we
have all
of our tomorrows
be as today
together with both
arms reaching
for that
golden cup of love
and exist in
our
Heaven
upon
our wonderful earth....

tonight dearest
the stars
will shine upon
our two bodies
entwined
upon silky satin sheets
with purest bliss
within
our
two sweet
beating hearts....

Venus Flytrap

You seduced and teased my yearning, with your succulent lure
A floral fragrance sumptuous and bizarrely pure,
You impaled and intoxicated my mind, with your corporeal charms
My impassioned heart, raced to your ominously parted arms!
You clasped me like an octopus, locked me in your iron embrace
Then I saw the restrained venom, glistening on your shifting face!
Irrevocably entrapped! Sandwiched between your gluttonous claws
Acquainted to your enormous hunger, peering from your slack jaws!
Couldn’t you heed the dilapidated struggle of my impotent gasp?
You unfeelingly asphyxiated me with your murderous grasp!
I was blinded by the appeal of your suicidal, sensual strokes
Now on your magnetic cuddle my body whole, shudders and chokes!
No longer are you suave, aromatic and flirtatiously tender
Virulently tamed, I rue my battered woeful surrender,
Like an insatiable leech you suckle me, siphon my naked despair!
A monster transformed, lacking traces of compassion or care
My labored breaths grow scrawny and senile,
While you gleefully devour me, with a ragged, complacent smile!
I writhe, you chew and grind and gnaw!
Like a vulture, ravenously consuming my remains raw!
I wane in vain, haplessly I tolerate
Aware, another victim will share my fate!

Premium Member ''A Cunning Linguist Is My Romeo''

A cunning linguist is my Romeo,
whose tongue has tasted ev’ry inch of me
ravenously from head to toe and—Oh!
in between—that I’m wet with ecstasy!
With lips on breasts, he kisses my firm nipples
first, then bites and nibbles on them like candy;
now wet with excitement, my genitals
beg for the strokes of his tongue to eat me.
Supine, I spread wide for him as his hands
prime my vagina—first the labials—
then my fluttering vulva—which expands
like a bloom for all of my man’s essentials.
Then, his lusty tongue slays my ********!—
so I then beg for the cock of my Horace.

A Demon Confesses

I shun the light and do so cast the stone,
rot the meat , ravenously eat the bone
Cut my way deep in every man that falls,
eat my thrills as my victim mercy calls!

Shadows, adorning my cloaks worn with pride,
once entered I rot the mind as I ride
Pain and agony my pets serve so well,
my purpose, sending 'em all right to Hell!

Long claws my daggers I do finely shine,
accept my gifts, your soul then is all mine
Dark laughter is my sweet joy letting loose,
long is you wail, your head is in my noose!

I too, serve my dark master very well
loyal demon, freed from the bowels of Hell!

Robert Lindley,
no date- Edited today, shortened to a sonnet
written so very long ago!

Note:
A taste of dark,
demons a reality so very stark,
I write safely within this brilliant light
spewing truth out to win another great fight..-08/24/2014

Tired body aches. Long walk on starry night -
ears attuned for bear at creek, or cougar.
Nothing, not a doe.
                            But that afternoon
came upon a healthy young buck in a meadow.
High up. And a hawk left a feather for me.
Old, old stands of lodgepole pine, grey bark
like wrinkled hides of elephants. Thick carpet
of dead needles.
                        Thirst. Sit at snowbank
for an hour eating snow. Burn tongue.
To soon after stumble upon a pond and the place
that a creek springs from the mountain. Water
indescribable. Eat ravenously and drink deep
gulps.

Climb highest rocky peak at dusk. Razor-back
ridge. Mother hawk scream nearby. Must
backtrack and then go straight down near dark
feet fall through layers of scrub pine, hands
grab for the live stalks only support against
broken bone.
Choose steep narrow bed of loose rocks,
surely waterfall in some other season and descend
on ass and all fours, feet first always fearful
it will end in an uncontrollable hundred foot drop.
Trickles of water nearing bottom.
                                              Cracked hands, raw
behind, cross final snowbank and attain road
along Snake Creek.

Ceasar Salad

People think plants are not violent
This is where I will tend to disagree
Have you ever seen a vine strangle a tree?
What about when a fly is devoured by the Venus?
When the weeds clog the yard with such immensity that drains every nearby plant?

Sure you have
Therefore you have witnessed the hard-wired DNA principle
To survive
Regardless of species
The predation and the prey
All within the concept that.....

Celery somehow made it to dominance in a seemingly peaceful fashion
Yet deceptively, as stoic as this ... Celery... seems
It most certainly practices a turgid diplomacy of violence
Showing its importance as
An invaluable part of classic broth
A team player in regards to fiber
And
Let's never forget the partnership with peanut butter

So it began
Celery was allowed into the favored gardens of the chosen vegetables
Walled away from the thorny, thick monstrosities that grew unattended
On the other side of the gate
Shedding their pollen without the slightest of apologies
But none of this was a concern for Celery
As Celery grew strong, robust and prolific
Soon it was apparent Celery had larger dreams than walled-off gardens
It was time for world domination
It was time to run the competitors unto the topsoil

Celery's surrounding mother roots went deep and everywhere within the soil
This unquenchable thirst caused
Many neighboring plants to become so stifled
A massive plant exodus occurred
Creating even more harsh turf conditions
This was compounded with the
Many casualties from plant-like warfare
Yet, one may ask
Did Celery show mercy and a vegetative state upon its face
No (and yes)
The roots took over and drained the essence from every beet, scallion and basil
In proximity
While simultaneously and
Ravenously soaking in every bit of energy needed for
Survival
Even at the cost of Celery's family and friends

So
Given this veracious tale
Do you still believe plants are not violent?

The Night Glows Darkly

Raging, fierce winds of Mars
marched across Earth’s skyscape,
in the season of the decline of Man
Fall of the God-chosen specie,
autumn of impending extinction
Twas an apocalyptic mushroom noon
	when the radioactive rains descended
upon the cities of carnage
War-torn topography uterine shelters were closing,
as phallic missiles were radar target trace fire opening
		Bomb pockmarks
	marring the beautiful faces
of the cosmopolitan ladies
Uranium continental premature blood splatter
brings a copious end
		        to the foreplay disaster chatter
Civilization shamefully undressing
their disfigured body of technology
in the warped climax throes of gamma-ray grief
Nuclear twilight offer enticing mutated midnight promises;
	cobra kisses of cobalt breath,
instant non-gratification death
delivered on a decaying silk bed of roses
Black widow drone infertility moans
	poisons the stratosphere acidic harshly
See the silhouetted pain reflecting
from the montero-shaped mirror
Oh ... how the grim night glows darkly!
Hear the military pawns of Mars,
grunt boots on the ground dying
Civilians combat the fear of pandemic infection,
as the Venus flytrap mouth of human aggression
is ravenously opening wider and wider
Man’s morbid love fixation on death
will make him try to extinguish the light of life
Thus his fatal end, he cannot blindly see
When come the nuclear twilight,
the winter night will glow so ever darkly!

Within The Mind, A Storm Blasts Out Flashes

Inside the head, the brain, the human mind
are passageways filtered in dark stains,
Thoughts deep, dark and so ravenously unkind
sit like waste stuck in kitchen drains.

Within the soul, longings await a new life
with love that is so rightly sealed,
Dreams of sweetest pleasure with no strife
and old wounds that have been healed.

Inside the heart, mists of soft dreaming love
yielding to the lusts of flesh so weak,
Stares out upon the sky filled with stars above
daring only to imagine but never speak.

Within the mind, a storm blasts out flashes
  brilliance wrapped in hardened shells,
Fueled by great pain and bad emotional crashes
fear sounds out like loud warning bells.

Behind the eyes, sits a screen showing all
movies and plays of dreams not born,
Danger creeping down a darkened castle hall
bringing death some future winter morn.

Shrinking Violet

It's all smoke and mirrors,
Cocooned in magenta mascara and lavender lace,
The ever-elusive ivory stag now backed into a corner,
Delighting in an artificial solitude's icy embrace,
Brandishing a jaw of pearls to sheathe the dagger up her sleeve,
A being without mortal anchors but free as the cosmos,
An orphaned star adopted by the destitute and bereaved,
Bound to the earth by a single poisonous dose,
Of a senseless rebellion rooted in a confrontational domestic convenience,
Concocted from the distorted allure of abandonment and the lust of love,
Ravenously craving the ecstasy of disobedience,
All to avoid her association with the palm branch toting dove,
Ordained by the heavens as a herald of peace,
Galvanized by the wind carrying her carelessly adrift as innocent as can be,
Yet somewhere along the way she lost her head in the clouds,
A life of complacency chafing away at her growing curiosity to the beings scuttling on the ground,
Gazing longingly at these minuscule being's feeble feet,
Apendages reluctantly dragging their comatose bodies through daily rituals too tedious to consciously repeat,
Why oh why young angel do you let your wings wilt with envy,
Why do your eyes brim with tears over remorse rather than from a strong gale's sting,
Remember your home atop cumulus hills and streets of cirrus,
Rise from your oaken bed not with medicated anguish,
But with the fire in your eyes coupled with a confident strut,
That made me fall in love with you,
My shrinking violet.

The Shadow of You

I walk the empty rooms at night
Searching for a ray of light.
A shadow in the dark
A scarring scorch mark.

Shadow, shadow on the wall
So many sorrows I recall.
The barbed wire of pain
Reclaims me all over again.

Ravenously the shadow feeds on sorrow
Slowly dimming the light of tomorrow.
In the dark I hear you call
Why did you let me fall?

Grinning shadows all around
Darkness my soul surround.
I try so hard to let you know
I did not want for you to go!

Shadows that dull the senses
Strip the soul of all pretences.
My nakedness I cannot hide
Chasm of death so very wide.

In the still of the night I cry
Shadow, shadow tell me why
Tell me how
Tell me now!

But shadows can only grin
As they twist the pain within.
They consume the pain and grow
Till all the world becomes, a shadow.

At the breaking of the day
The shadow will fade away.
Waiting in the background
For night to come around.

Once again I'll walk the dark
Knowing shadow's scorch mark.
All I seem to know is this
Forever you are my nemesis.
