Best Quitters Poems

Premium Member Spitters Are Quitters

Always salty and usually bitter
help encourage the spitter —
still better than the wonts
and those dreaded donts —
saved by the tolerable quitter.

On the football field young Davy hurt his knee
Lots of excruciating pain, yes-sir-ee,
He is never a quitter
Says he is never fitter
Continuing playing to win is the key.

Quitters Never Win

An old man who fell down a shaft
Just sat in a heap looking daft
But his friend persevered
And he soon reappeared
Then looked down the shaft and just laughed

The Quitters Podium

here at gadgados we keep loosing them employees
the other day me was so frustrated threatened a quit
the MD heard of it i was summoned to the big office

whats the problem.. don't complain about your duties
do it this way do it that way accomplish it this way finito..
the MD didn't mince his words and i begged for a better pay

i begrudging backlog and overload and appreciation
him assuring we need you.. i never quit so i took a leave
am back to the hassle and tassle as i look for daily bread

of providence and work and great redemptive power
the power and ability to pay my bills thou an artist..
it inst easy living by art in this beloved nation of art

i am not a quitter but i nearly quit and weeks later
am handed a letter its a promotion and better pay
dated the same day i had wanted to resign from duty

Quitters Never Fail

Falling short is never present,
And giving up can be so pleasant.

Premium Member Quitters Never Prosper

Quitters never prosper
So it is said
I won’t give up
I’m not yet dead!
When things go wrong
As they sometimes will
And the going
Seems all uphill
And defeat shoves me down
Until I lose my will
Rest if you must
But don’t you ever quit
That light within
Burns up a shout
Frustration screams
Let it all out
Many a failure turns around
Hold on and stand your ground
Your pace may be slow
But get up and go
For what is success
But failure, turned inside out!

Premium Member Ultimate Champions

Hello friends!
How are you doing?
How is life treating you?
You are great I suppose
You are doing fine I guess
You are on top of your game
I dare say
Is the weather clement?
Is it cloudy?
or is it raining in your hearts?
Are you downcast?
Do you feel like throwing in the towel?
Do you feel like ending it all here?
Are you quitting it all here?
He who feels it knows it
No do not despair
Do not quit
Winners are not quitters
Quitters can only lose
Go into your shell today
So that you can fight tomorrow
Help is on the way
Hold on
Hold out
You are ultimate champions

Rehab Is For Quitters

Rehab is for quitters.
                                 Who have the detox jitters.

                                 Addiction is best being lost.
Since it's families who count the cost.

The twelve step program is a must.
In rehab you learn to adjust.

At first you just want to play their game.
Then you realize it's not the same.

Of not being in the drug infested haze.
Your reality is not stuck in a maze.

Of your demons you want to be free.
Working the rehab is the key.

Be a quitter at your best.
And get those demons off your chest.

Never Give Up

There was a green frog on his lily pad
A big duck came beside him and said, Lad
I'm hungry and fading out
Amid a full-hearted shout,
"I'm a rare frog!" Duck said, "Yummy I'm glad"

Duck looked cockeyed standing in the middle
Of the pond with a minuscule twiddle
Green frog holding chokehold
Until the duck was out cold.
Frog seen jumping off fit as a fiddle.

Premium Member Five-inning Quitters

  The more other sports change
the more baseball stays the same

Bleeding fans as well as talented players
the ‘national pastime’ needs our prayers

So, I have a suggestion whose time has come
one for which I want to bang the drum

No more ‘win’ for a starting pitcher
     who is a ‘five-inning’ quitter

Either six complete innings from him ~
or he can take his shower at the local gym

Premium Member Quitters Never Win

We stare from the foot of life's ladder-
The space to the top makes us sadder!
   Up, Up, we climb, coping
   And always keep hoping
Each step we move up makes us gladder.

The thrill of accomplishment's waiting!
To weaken the goal, "quit" is baiting.
   Just push for high standing,
   When we reach that landing-
Stand tall with that number one rating!

A frog fell in love with a stork shrewd
Suggesting a kiss she wooed her food
Trying to swallow him, how rude!
The frog rung her neck, eyes protrude
He hopped on out, limping like a dude!

While daydreaming, out of the loop,
I was caught in a long beaked scoop
Go with the flow
He doesn’t know
I’ll exit when he takes a poop

Premium Member Quitters On the Hill

Quitters on the Hill
By Franklin Price
10/25/2017

What's with you quitters on the hill
You tout that you have had your fill
With your future there in doubt
You quit before we vote you out

For years you haven't done a thing
Just wanted us to kiss your ring
The people now are coming back
Get out now before you're sacked

Blame it on the POTUS man
It's evident you're not his fan
It's all your fault that he is in
The way you've worked is just a sin

To cling to hope for this great land
The voters had to take a stand
Trump has made the most of it
If he gets fools like you to quit

Polls say you're out anyway
Grandstanding won't help you today
Your whining will help you no more
Don't have your ass slammed by the door

As you go into the night
And you think that you are right
You would stay the course and fight
To bring us from the dark to light

Congressmen should make the rules
We'll no longer be your fools
We're not sorry for you're plight
Hope your replacement gets it right

Premium Member Quitters Never Win

Quit while you are ahead
That's a phrase most winners dread
Keep going if you want to win
To give up now would be a sin
If you are in it to win it, enough said
