Quitters Never Win

On the football field young Davy hurt his knee
Lots of excruciating pain, yes-sir-ee,
He is never a quitter
Says he is never fitter
Continuing playing to win is the key.

But, with some of these younger athletes who don't know what the future holds in terms of disfigurement, disability, and chronic pain, winning is everything.

Lucky that I got to 57 before I broke down totally. Now I can barely walk right. 'Saturday's hero' is a -- fool, mostly. Oh, well. Janice Canerdy Date: 5/11/2021 4:03:00 PM Very well-done, uplifting, Milton. My granddaughter, soccer player, tore up one knee--then the other the very next year--pain, surgeries, therapy on and on. At the sports recognition program, when she was a senior, the coach gave her a special award (actually created one for her!) God knows she earned it. I was a massage therapist in private practice for about six years, and I can tell you those who play sports in high school are destined for bad knees, ankles, and shoulders in later life.
