pyjamas underneath
slippers gently slapping
he traverses his bedroom floor

between his bed and the closet
the closet and his bed
in measured, purposeful strides
up and down
up and down
each decisive journey
taking the same amount of steps
his hands
comfortably curled
rest gently
in the spacious pockets
