Best Put Your Mind At Rest Poems

Premium Member Cop a Feel - Breast Cancer Awareness Campagin

Breasts, boobies, knockers, **** – call them what you will
We are talking about breast cancer – and sadly it can kill

The key to success with catching the disease is early detection
Remember boobies aren’t just funbags to give a fella an ********

Breasts can be appreciated in the their own unique way
Have a feel for lumps make it a sexy game to play

Let him ‘cop a feel’ and if a lump you do detect
Go straight to the GP - this lump you mustn’t neglect

It can be simply that you have lumpy boobs or a cyst
It’s not necessarily cancer but it can be on the list

The GP will send you for a mammogram or scan
Mammograms aren’t comfy, staff do it as quickly as they can

Hopefully the results will put your mind at rest
But sadly sometimes it shows cancer of the breast

Early detection is the key to beating this cancer
Regular mammograms really are the answer

Don’t forget about the men they have pecs or moobs
They can get breast cancer too we are talking about ALL boobs

Call To Mind

Call to mind, favours of the dark.
Whispers the lies, that always follow.
Save yourself, forget all others.
Be so selfish, No one matters.

Take all you need, take all you want.
There's very little, we put past you.
You can't be sad, can't be lonely.
If so happens, you won't be the only.

You owe so much, possess so less.
How can you, put your mind at rest?
So indulgent, that nothing's enough.
The life you lead is just so 'tough'.

Your heart so dead,
Your mind so blank.
Your presence so gloomy,
You've blinded yourself.

~Written in late-2003 (October-November) when I was fifteen.

Truth

Truth
Silence is a voice
She may whisper, she may scream
She can be all too confronting
But she can help you to redeem
Things you may have forgotten
Or things that you had lost
In the stillness they’ll resurface
They’ll come back at any cost
You’ll remember, you’ll acknowledge
You’ll be humbled, you’ll show regret
If Integrity is present
You’ll have to face all that you dread
As you are inclined to listen
You will hear and you will learn
Refrain from any interruption
And the more you will discern
When Silence speaks she’s candid
Her audience better be bold
Brace yourself for the experience
Admit the truth that will be told
And even though it won’t be easy
It can be torture at its best
But honest self-evaluation
Will only put your mind at rest.

Hearts Garden

HEART’S GARDEN
What plants you grow
In your heart’s garden
Depend on the seeds you sow
What fruit you bear
In your heart’s garden
Depend on the kind of care

If the flowers grow bright
And the fruit tastes right
You can put your mind at rest
But if weeds you’ve got
And the fruit should rot
You haven’t done your best

Though the Lord is the One
Who brings rain and sun
And causes your garden to grow
You must plant and till
And do His will
Then His love your garden will show

Stretched in Two

Sometimes you get stretched in two
And, though you do what you must do,
You know there might be someone who
You’ve made a bit depressed.

Your reasons might be clear to you
But possible to misconstrue,
For everybody’s point of view
Won’t always be expressed.

And even if you had a clue
And agonized and thought it through,
You had to go with what you knew
Would pass the right-thing test.

So afterwards, a quick review
Might all your worried thoughts subdue,
For other chances will debut
To put your mind at rest.
