Truth
Truth
Silence is a voice
She may whisper, she may scream
She can be all too confronting
But she can help you to redeem
Things you may have forgotten
Or things that you had lost
In the stillness they’ll resurface
They’ll come back at any cost
You’ll remember, you’ll acknowledge
You’ll be humbled, you’ll show regret
If Integrity is present
You’ll have to face all that you dread
As you are inclined to listen
You will hear and you will learn
Refrain from any interruption
And the more you will discern
When Silence speaks she’s candid
Her audience better be bold
Brace yourself for the experience
Admit the truth that will be told
And even though it won’t be easy
It can be torture at its best
But honest self-evaluation
Will only put your mind at rest.
