Premium Member Once upon perdition a dedication

This POTD is dedicated to Di11y Da11y
who spoke the truth and paid the price!

to the unheard poet
you weren’t driven away
you moved beyond them

Once upon perdition

The apostate looked out his window,
and started to believe
As genuflecting pylons
sent ramifications through the trees
Chaos questioned reason,
hoping for a guilty plea
but the world was too far gone,
 so began the killing spree

The Crier rang his leper bell:
 “Our town’s a godless apparition”
Filling hearts with envy
of a once-dreaded condition
Now the King prayed for calm,
in a pagan act of contrition
After his son died at birth,
he had proscribed all religion

Atheists came from all around,
excommunication filled the air
Roots faced horizontal,
trying to feed off despair
Anxious to leave town,
fallen gargoyles block civic square
Steeplejacks grow disoriented,
from looking up at disrepair

“That hole’s not deep enough,”
winked the jester to the knave
He could never resist a shortcut,
even digging his own grave
As the madness continued,
hermits set fire each other’s caves
Shedding light on the void,
by burning alive its willing slaves

With the apocalypse gathering pace,
populations slowly died
Some genius came forward
a real madman in disguise
Said, “We need a scapegoat
—a martyr, an ultimate sacrifice”
He was crucified for being too clever;
they much preferred no advice

And whilst writing this story,
that apparently makes no sense
The queen was in her chambers,
hanging herself from suspense
Children butcher themselves gaily,
having learned how to fence
As for putting fear of God in us,
the wicked come crawling to repent

At last when heaven reopened,
an eclipse tried darken that day
Never to see man overcast again,
sun went nova, boiling all life away…

Alliteration For the Planet

Wonderful wonders woven within wild.
Titillates theatrical tender thoughts
Consistently creation, contrives conservation concerns.
Ecology evolves equations, entitling entities essence.
Empowering equality, enlarges existence.
Life lovingly leases Longevity.
Biodiversity braces, blatant brutal balding.
Deforestation, destruction devoid due definition.
People physically, plundering planet.
Prevalently procuring, products proscribed
Pilfering practices producing poisonous pollutants.
Greenhouse gases generated, generously grievous.
Temperate temperature’s tempers tumultuous.
Creating Climate changes, causing catastrophes.
Planet purges peril predominately.
Preached, placid platitudes, politicians podiums paced.
loved lives logged listed lost.
Lacuna languished, lessons least learnt.
Losing Life lingers, listing leeward lazily.

Premium Member angel -

wispy …

tendrils of light
faint, hushed feathers of trickling lucence
an impish muster of sprites
shimmering in a mosh pit swirl of
proscribed whispers, limpid
absconding the darkness, once bound
giggling to rest on the cool, flat sand
content to adorn whate'er surface it bespokes
(blessed be that which it may grace
though by happenstance alone)
coruscation, set alight
Indulgence for its own regard
drowning joyfully for
the sake of a thirst insatiable
and crimping the fine edges of patience
a breath of the firmament
sighs sent forth from the sky itself
brisk and aromatic
just keen enough to rouse …
lashes bat, soft
then quick ... and quick again
oh, the rich and sultry sin beneath
if but a gaze should settle upon you …
exist not, the coffers to equate such worth -
she is divine purity, sublime
and it is no mystery, the light hence
it was borne here for her singular revelation
that no eye EVER strain to behold her countenance
that no ear ever long for her voice
or no heart know her absence
she is the maelstrom of Heaven's shining gasp
and the custodian of dreams
winged and awakened …

Evolution Iv

Virtual 2050 reality ...
synapses no longer fire
they've begun to retire
into encrypted text
programmer proscribed
in the language of math.
Plasma screen progress
as hands are no longer held,
nor mouths touch.
No waists are clasped in a lover's embrace,
only eyes on pop-up menus that hover in space
spewing entertainment in a
containment of the species.

The Ruba’iyat of Créteil Lake – Part Eighteen

Even as the lower rubbed its dazed eyes over Her hillocks
The light-foot Lass of Lahore made her way past the boating docks
Past the Marie’s dank reedy banks over Her heaving breast
Tip-toeing over the complaining boards of Her nose-bridge locks

Hugging a bottle labeled “OMAR” where Her bust cut an arc -
A left-behind lame garden warbler tweeted its dirge dark
While the doe-eyed Lass tilted the bottle at the water’s edge -
Her own secret message to save the Sufi Khayyam from wreck:

“Oh! Illustrious Beacon of the Saljuk Empire!
Pray! Let me so much as I might deign to sing sans lyre!
The WORD is out: Your Eminence’s proscribed by penal mettle:
The Republic’s Procureur Général wants you in pyre!”

“Your humble sister begs your esteemed bardic indulgence:
Two fitful summers gone past we did cross each other’s presence
Me a mere slip of a girl from yon Ghaznavid Empire
Heard the clamorous reed warbler’s Himalayan penance!”

“This bottle with the missive I know the Lady of the Lake
Will to you waft: tidings dire as to keep me awake
Through bitterly biting lonesome nights you stumble and rove:
Take heed! POLICE cycle-brigades have tripled round the lake!”

My Senescent Educator

I chanced on him on my track to school
He was baronial and majestic as ever
Clothed in his outfit and elongated tunic
Clenching in his hand a printed work

The nugatory schoolboy in me promptly surfaced
As I proceeded towards his enclave vacillatingly
Intuited as if I was going to memorize my recitation
Was seized with an obstreperous panic

In his impeccable demeanor gently my face tapped
Unbridled my tongue and my odd reluctance unleashed
Stormed: "come on boy I won't your ears pull
Nor your butts with quivering hands spank"

"Spill the beans, voice what your spirit vexes"
This life uttered I diggs in prostrating me
Mankind's animosity does all over prevail
Besieges our souls and minds assails

He drew a lengthy whistling sigh as if to vindicate
The diagnosis of a proscribed insurrection
Instead gladden yourself to overhaul yours
And ahead your home with your broom sanitize

As a bonus for his judicious counsel
I offered escorting him to his fount
And for a while substitute his compliant cane
The road was brimmy with hollows and vehiculer conjested

"I have,asserted he,operated this road for decades
He has never stabbed me in the back nor beguiled
Subjected his grass, pebbles and panels to slave for me
Please,reconcile with yours,it is waxing harsher ! "

I've had enough of the usless drivel, hypersenitivity and endless snivels
We're more fulfilled I hear so often, yet the fruit on show to me seems rotten!
A girl of 9 cut down by a gun, floods of drugs; engineered and spun..'
Borderless war, we're doing well.' No father's for many; childhoods of hell.)
Mothers are sidlined, (the state is all) whatever's dictated now thats the call.'
Dress like a mummy.' Would that be safest? I'm not surprised lifes devestated.'
I'm writing now not as I would.' Joy is proscribed fewer smiles in the hood.'
It is a challenge, just holding your nerve, anti-sense; the current trend and verve.'
Why not slash your throat, and drink, to health.? Calling it, as sense by stealth?
The reason most aren't 'satisfied', no matter the volumes of goods and pride.'
The word and act, ( are of satan derived ) you feed the beast, it eats you inside
And spills it's driven reasonless; cargo, deflating human worth, from each get-go.'
It's all community and culture I hear, while unity is shattered and nations fear.'
Is fear a commodity? Despair a road? Seems so from watching the waiting goads
The social whip, the endless quips, deriding stability as a worm in wood slips'
I say culture, centuries old; should be valued, not cheapened; diluted sold.'
All the the while, bellowing loud, that cultures multi, can unite the crowds.'
It's such non-sense, as we all know.) Yet showman and women just go and go.'
The tanks half empty, it's the theme that's chosen; to chill our blood, reality frozen.'

Birds and Bees

21st February 2012
By Sashi Prabhu (zeauoxian)
(Couplet)
Hey mum and dad please do not lowly hum or keep mum,
When by your little one asked “where do babies come from?”

Narrated over and over this metaphorical tale,
Many scoff to tell, be it female or adult male.

Birds are like men and fly as they please,
Bees are like women, dedicated to their queen, to her whims appease.

Bees sit on and pollinate the flowers,
By, buzzing around many and over few hovers.

The birds spread the “seed”,
These to the “gen next” they lead.

This is about birds and bees a short verse,
On a topic, proscribed and taboo which parents surely must never be averse

Premium Member The Seed and the Soul

Is the soul to a human
What the seed is to
A dandelion - a vessel
Of the continuum?

Both are readied for winging;
One swept, unknowing, clinging
Upon the vagaries of zephyrs,
One ticketed to sail the ethers.

The seed carries an embryo where’er blown
Prepared by its mother to grow where sown.
The soul by the Father sown, without misconception,
May be redeemed at will from any misdirection.

The seed may rise a weed or wine
As chance may take upon to dine,
If in lawn or vineyard find,
To its fated end resigned.

The soul may be proscribed or saved
As promised by the One who paved
The Way; choose or deny finality
And thereby spend eternity.

Corona

Saša Milivojev

CORONA

A bloodthirsty old woman you see,
a cockroach from the Satan’s
“Crisis Committee”,
For long she pillaged,
children she snatched and slayed
their blood she drank and ate,
to rejuvenate.
She flayed their skin,
affixed in place on her own face,
Corona was her name,
The old hag was insane.

When her evil deeds were told,
the airplanes soared,
in aim to kill us all.
On Earth they made the poisons fall.

They had us all locked down,
with muzzles restrained,
padlocks and chains,
ankle bracelets for home detention,
false tests on prescription,
deceived and plundered,
blamed for infection,
medications proscribed,
fresh air they denied,
On our freedom they put boundaries,
halfwits, scoundrels.

And when they “eased up” on their “measures”,
the camps were full over the rim,
large - scale butchering,
looted livers and kidneys,
burning the living victims,
“to prevent the spread of infection”
evidence concealed for our own protection.

She had working hours,
sleeping before noon,
was contagious only in the afternoon.

Half the world she vaccinated,
with poisons injected,
what is going on,
you are going to see,
billions of dead bodies are yet to be!

Forget we must not,
Lest not forgive,
Let’s arrest and sentence them to death,
they should not be left to live!
