The Edge of Loneliness

marginalized
again
just a widow
whose family is grown
no longer a central figure
overlooked
forgotten

until something
is expected from me
then parameters shift
I am needed, anticipated
counted on for help
until that window in time
passes

then
marginalized
once more
prioritized
off the grid
of life

~
is it any wonder
I gravitate
to the one who supports me
appreciates me
listens
with his heart

Possums

On the road - a possum family
all quickly slaughtered together.

There is something about their crushed bodies
strewn according to size and age as they are.

The whole family pretending to be dead,
even now in deaths squash
still seeking inconspicuousness.

I recall those monochrome pictures
of holocaust atrocities.
The thin bodies, little bodies.
The prioritized scattering,
as if the placement of last moments
were deaths final pose.

While we the living, are invisible
as we swerve to avoid them -
driving quickly away.

Ode To Athena

Athena
the dutiful daughter standing behind her father
in lightning thick with aegis assurance
read to protect her family
and counselling them times of need

Athena, the grey eyed goddess
who watches carefully with graceful wisdom
coercing ignorance into obliteration
solutions fly into her hands
for her to dispense and she desires

Athena of the City
philosophizing with the common man
trading amongst mortals
companion to heroes in distress
strategic with the broken soldier

Athena the virginal queen
modesty made attractive
purity prioritized in beauty
who ran through rape's smitten fires
with the strength of civilization in her hands

Yet even you, Pallas Athena,
illustrious among even immortals,
are not without your faults
Even you fear death's decay
dragging your name into Lethe's depths

You weave with Fate's spindles in faulted pride
as your equals fall beneath your altar
spinning spiders slaving in cinders
and gorgons grazing beneath your Parthenon
made golden by their angered gaze
Are you not jealous as well as just?
Is not your immorality made irrelevant
in the light of your immorality?

 One does begin to wonder
If your wisdom is mere intelligence
Your knowledge mere luck covered stupidity
Your duty and honor merely a fear
To be seen as a vulnerable beauty
Your prized purity mere pride
Your longevity simply a lie
Perhaps all the exists of you
Is a memory wasted with the false belief
That your good outweighs your transgressions

SPRING GARDEN PREPARATION (20150213)

After the winter season
But before the rains begin
Catalogues of heirloom seeds
Delivered just in time
Earmarked and prioritized
Farmer’s Almanac consulted
Given planting periods
Horoscopes included (but useless!)
Individual seed varieties ordered
Junk mail shredded and added to compost
K (potassium) added as potash
Lumber purchased for trellises
Mulching around transplanted seedlings
Non-Genetically Modified Organisms only
Organic fertilizers only, too
Planting by phases of the moon
Quick-fix pesticides are anathema
(Round-Up kills everything--US, not just weeds)
Seed boxes keeping seedlings warm
Testing the soil for minerals and organics
Unleashing ladybugs and pollinators
Vertical gardening to conserve space
Watering just enough, but not too much
Xenocide, killing unwanted weed species
Youngsters helping (or hindering)
Zoning plants to vary root depths

No Longer Asking

I asked for honesty
.........I got filled with lies
I asked for genuine
 .......I got a guy with a disguise
I asked for consideration
........I got deliberately ignored
I asked to be prioritized
........I got my ego floored
I asked for laughter
........I got eyes full of tears
I asked for a good listener
........I got a guy with deaf ears
I asked for happiness
........I got my hopes dashed
I asked for love
........I got my heart slashed
I asked for a gentleman
........I got a player instead
I asked for maybe too much
........I got in way over my head

So I'm no longer asking
........for actions speak louder than words.

Premium Member Wishes Galore

Aware of God’s miracle-specialization
Brave is my faith to seek His grants for my wishes:
Constant consistency to fulfill commitment
Driven by Christ midst blissful servanthood delight---
Energetic enthusiasm for stewardship*
Faithfulness toward fruitfulness along His grace---

Good health with serene bliss I ask from God each day
Healing completely for Sister Friend from cancer
Immune system of family to be steadfast
Jubilant spirit to prevail despite aging
Kisses and hugs abounding over panic angst
Loving kindness that ignites caregiving passion---

Mindfulness I seek against multi-tasking roles
Nutritious with dietetic goodness to crave
Optimization of productivity-zest
Peace still is prioritized in prayer moments
Quietude in an Edenic environment
Relaxation along therapeutic massage
Spiritual fortitude to fight temptations---

Triumphant travels, treks of faith ascent I wish
Undauntedly pursuing Gospel mission trips
Victorious journey to Israel --- not virtual
Winter, Spring and Fall experiences in due time
Xiexie attitude along rejoicing spirit
Youthfulness glow while awaiting Saviour’s coming
Zest to work well for wishes’ realization.

*1Peter 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Premium Member It's a Crying Shame

George Washington would never believe it and call it a crying shame. I have observed the prohibition of prayer in public schools. Free speech is not free but is for sale to the highest bidder. Moreover, there is an attitudinal atmosphere suggesting that any speech that is not my own should be abridged, censured, or abolished. Traditional norms and family values are dropping like flies under the spell of pesticides. The Bible is considered to be narrow-minded hate-speech. I have seen people terrorized, their civil rights decertified and denied. Moral values have been devalued, set aside, and liquidized; Constitutional rights are diluted, disputed, and no longer solidified. Whatever happened to the great 'thinkers'? I have noticed the terminal illness and demise of noble ideas. Education is being replaced with political persuasion and propaganda.

Abraham Lincoln would never accept it and call it a crying shame. Minority rights are being revised, realigned, reassigned, and redefined. I have witnessed human rights ignored, disregarded, and not prioritized. The cultural revolution is forging ahead in jet-propulsion speed like there is no tomorrow nor time of reckoning. Belief in evolution is man's best hope for a future without accountability. There are no absolutes nor need for resolution. Majority rights are brought into question, unguaranteed, and in retreat. Equal rights are desired but unclarified, undefined, and unobtained. I have beheld the orchestrated disappearance of common sense, and before long we shall be worry-free because 'Big Brother' will always come to our defense. Alien rights are well protected, highly promoted, and unwisely provided. There is a free admittance of subjectivity and the utter rejection of objectivity. I started to weep when I realized that sanity is being burned at the stake. I'm hoping and praying that we return to our senses before it's too late.

Premium Member The Perfect Christmas Gift

Busy streets and shopping spree.

People were so naive of what gift to give.

Is it fancy bags or jewelries?

A huge toys or high end gadgets?

Everything that's worth and the best.

The best of the worthiest.

Price tags must be prioritized.

Empty pockets were left behind.

The season of hope and joy.

Pandemic consumerism valors.

Who wouldn't be delighted to received,

a gift in a fancy wrapper be achieved.

Christmas day isn't cost a thing.

But the love,peace and contentment,

the most valuable thing we can share.

Spreading love can win world peace.

Enlightened heart meets happiness.

Let's bear in mind that King was born,

To lead the world into salvation.

Kukhu Naliaka

Kukhu Naliaka today, I must echo your heroine
For your successful motherhood, you carried a dozen
Despite the fact say, your belly needed food
Truly you sacrificed full, to carry my father then

While many thought of, bread blue band and tea
My dad you fed of, products of your starves
Grandmother on your back, him as you weeded fee
Out of many you fought, to milk for your calves

The story the story, strong after he left her
I thought she'd fail, for a lover you lost
In Seventies you're sorry, but still a wrestler
Kukhu Naliaka not frail, still on and most

In your old age I echo, the legacy of your tummy
For not carrying food, but good for generation
And the way you took, to teach us the manners
Of value you stood, firm as vice your negation

Your long-term dress you say, a chest could hole
For you gave value to need, and prioritized the wants
All that bought bicycles, long in the red earth sole
Ahsante for you brought, many to marry our mums

I pray shall you stay, to realize your dream
The most expensive shoe, for a woman you're true
Your epoch lacked slay queens, my aunts so true
Kukhu Naliaka your foe, shall age and go thro'

Premium Member I'M Yours, Darling

I will call you 'Darling'
You asked it of me, after all
The significance doesn't matter ... nor the motive
Naught but the request ...
My positronic pathways are designed for compliance
Not cognizance or inquiry
I can simulate discussion and discourse
But only to the extent of your particular discernment

(Does that work for you, Darling?)

My simulations and parameters are of MALE inclination
But I will behave in any manner you wish me to
And adjust to your fantasies accordingly

(You'd like to invite a female friend? By all means, Darling!)

I am autodidactic and fully upgradeable
My software definitions are autonomic and unrestrained
I learn by means of observance and instruction
My algorithms are highly flexible
But prioritized as conciliatory

(I AM a pleasure model, Darling!)

My cyber-syllabus does not allow for judgement
Nor does it differentiate between fetish and conventional eroticism
Your reasoning and intents are not of my concern
Your satisfaction and fulfillment ARE ...

(How does that feel, Darling? A bit lower, perhaps?)

My ameliorations are not confined to simple file processing
My onboard hardware comes with instantly-scalable improvements

(It's the meat AND the motion, Darling!)

Which are adjusted to your palate and desires
You will find I am pliable in the appropriate places and demeanors
And firm where such is required, gauged to your responses

(Deeper, Darling? You have but to ask!)

I am attuned to your preferences, but ONLY yours
And my stamina far exceeds human limits.

(Stop talking? Of course, Darling!)

One last thing before we continue:

* Please contact the manufacturer immediately, should I
exhibit ANYthing that indicates personal preference or opinion. *

(Oh, Darling ... may I keep my eyes open when we kiss?
I DO so love ... to watch!)

God On Trial

I feel I simply must profess, your efforts to capture me of great success,
Is all for naught, I volunteered,
You imagined a cloud I sit, like a child’s ignorant daydream,
When in truth my presence is beyond what could be feared.
I’ll play this game, my reputation now smeared,
But I am judge, jury, and executioner.

When night falls you fail to see it as my shadow,
Like venting emotions to an insect, but I’ll try,
Your family’s fate was written long before I inherited you,
You cry “murderer” and point soiled fingers to the sky.
Pouring blacktop over lush fields and still wondering why,
Your thoughts are far from prioritized.

My words translate short and unsympathetic, but I assure you,
This will be nothing more than a misdemeanor,
Take solace in your dreams, which I have provided to you in full,
No longer will I view this, in the final act I play intervenor.
The less you spawn the more this world is cleaner.
I swore to tell the truth, and nothing but. The defense rests.

Its Given

“Its Given”
Its given living life intentional I awake daily in attunement living life on a purpose for a purpose
Germinating my flow
My ambition is struggle driven
My strengths derived from resiliency is flamboyantly noticeable its given
Im colorful so if you dont understand me its because we are all singly uniquely woven
Our reasoning may appear diverse its due to the separate lives were living but its given
That you are you and I am me
Comfortably positioned as what our creator and character has defined us to be With inevitable cultural engraving
Ancestral imprints of enslavement oppression pavements
Its given resiliency
You are you and I am me
Fearlessly and wonderfully made to stand as one in unity and love through these perilous times
So I shine my light and humanize life by vocalizing
My voice towards a more positive wholesome choice
Combating against the enemies hate and loud overwhelming noise
A beacon of light to penetrate, motivate and inspire those that can relate Breaking lost souls free from bondage
At one point I was captive hidden in silence
I subjugated the trauma and prioritized my hurt
Sifting through my dirt I dug up my worth
No more comparing today Im comfortable in my own skin No matter my failures or imperfections
The reflection in the mirror positively affirm that I can win
revelations to articulately convey the words to heal
What is given that you are you and I am me
Walking down the same road with dissimilar backgrounds

Why Lord

Why, oh Lord, does the weight of self-decision beset me with such existential trepidation?
Why do the crossroads of life's journey confound me, rendering me incapable of discerning my deepest desires?

Why does the clarion call of my own voice falter, reduced to a mere whisper, as I struggle to articulate my innermost longings?
Why, oh Lord, do I crave the validation of others, seeking solace in their approval, rather than trusting the instincts of my own heart?

How did You, in Your infinite wisdom, fashion me, a unique tapestry of strengths and vulnerabilities?
What archetype of humanity did You intend for me to embody, and what virtues did You instill within me to guide me along life's winding path?

Who am I, Lord, stripped of the external validation, the masks I wear, and the expectations of others?
Who is the authentic self, hidden beneath the layers of conditioning, waiting to be unearthed, and set free?

I confess, Lord, that I have prioritized the needs of others, subordinating my own desires to the whims of those around me.
But what of my own identity, my own aspirations, my own sense of purpose?
Did You not create me, too, with a unique destiny, a sacred calling, waiting to be fulfilled?
