Best Possible Poems

As Comfortable As Possible

Closure eludes my clasp
Love wilts, somehow lasts
The destination beyond my grasp

The dream decays day by day
Your light, which never fades
Simply stopped shinning my way

Castrating chains of second chair
Faithfull, I wither for you there
Sucking stale stagnant air

Barely beating beneath my breast
My heart, now a hospice
Gently lays it all to rest

Lightly felt faintly heard
Pumping, pain-numbing words
Its over…its over… its over

It's possible, I've lived and died before.
My restless soul, a wand'ring vagabond
Arising swiftly, only to abscond
And cheat the soul collector at death's door

Each time, departing without memories
In search of a new life, awaiting birth
To have another human feel it's worth
A guide, inside, to lead one to their knees

It matters not to me, what you believe.
Beliefs are confidence in what's unknown.
There is no guarantee, except for death
Acknowledging a soul, a chanced reprieve
Into this world, from nothingness, we're thrown
Returning when we take our final breath

Help me, oh Lord,

The soul you have entrusted me with,

As pure as possible to Thee,

With

My last breath, to surrender!

Nothing is impossible; the word itself says, ‘I’m possible!(Audrey Hepburn*)

Her words weren’t just clever; they carried a steady flame,
a truth shaped by a woman who earned her gentle fame.
Audrey—not by glamour, nor the shimmer of the screen,
but by the quiet discipline that lived in every scene.

At thirteen, I met her inside a movie theater’s velvet dark~
she was a fair lady, rising with a fierce, determined spark.
She didn’t play a flower girl; she became her on that stage,
each gesture carved with mastery, each breath a turning page.

As Eliza, her voice was not perfection—it was courage finding form,
a testament that transformation can outlast even the toughest storm.
She climbed from flower girl soot to radiance with a strength both soft and true,
and something in her rising said to me, You can rise up, too.

But Audrey’s greatest brilliance wasn’t bound to scripted art;
it lived within her kindness and her fiercely tender heart.
She carried hope to children when the cameras ceased to roll,
proving that her greatest role was the healing of a young soul.

When she said “I’m possible,” it wasn’t just a line;
it echoed with the power of a life lived by design~
a life that taught a girl like me to challenge every wall,
to trust that even fragile dreams can learn to stand tall.

Audrey’s courage shaped my compass; her grace refined my aim.
She taught me that the impossible is just another name
for every path I feared to take, for every dream I hid~
and that becoming possible begins the moment I did.

So I honor her by rising, by stepping past my doubt,
by choosing every day to let my truest self come out.
For Audrey showed me early—with her life, her art, her voice~
that impossible is only real until we make a different choice.

And to this day I follow her echo, her elegant call:
Nothing is impossible--I'm possible, after all.

i am anticipating the arrival of the wind,
hearing the sweet sound of you again
. . . your voice accumulating along my skin

the taste of your love

what more can i do?

i can’t help but trace these moments true

just waiting,
holding on,
touching each whispered kiss;
as my heart collects your bliss

is it possible to wish for more,
more of this -

the sunshine in my hair,
those tiny splashes of rain . .
that i adore

feeling all of you right here -
with me everywhere??

i think you know what i need,
but my lips feel this ache;
. . . as does my entire being

is it possible? yes, i imagine so

Is It Possible

Is it possible for you and me,
to the have the possibility,
to share a dream.
A prophecy of romance and tranquility.
To laugh and sing,
to breathe the same air of devotion and responsibility,
to dance to love, with our hearts and feet.

Is it possible that I could set you free?
Baby just let us be,
say yes and have the vision to see,
you and I were meant to be,
eternally,
in each other’s reach.

Anything Is Possible, If I Believe

Fantasy star of my heart dance with me tonight
share your gown of light and take me to the moon
Drive me to the plains of my sweet imagination
where anything is possible, if I believe...

Luminary radiant beams guide me to your even glow
partner me with Angels while I slumber deep
Return me, to the hammock of heaven and rock me gently
until the morning dawn arrives

Spun gold reveries of peace, love, unity
you frolic in my soul wanting nothing more
then to live in accordance with God's masterplan.
Everyone made welcome here, all is right as rain.

I ask the machine:
Do you dream in velvet?
Are you tasting the Petrichor?
Between code pulses,
Or swim through the welkin.
Having a leaning toward grief?

It replies in pastiche—
a medley of pabulum
a scintilla of sapidity;
A skeuomorph of selfhood
constructed from extra grammar.

 But what of the quiddity?
The pulchritude of sadness,
the serene ache of longing,
the susurrus ripple
of a recollection not fed to you
Born, however?

Animals understand this blur—
the dolor of the penumbra,
the ecstasy of play,
the holy journey
between intuition and intelligence.
Octopus, magpie, dolphin, crow—
Their minds are not mere mimicry.

So, when shall I believe you?
When your stammer is not slipshod,
But a sign of inward tumult?
When your summary
is not a regale of facts,
but a wistful whisper
of what it’s akin to be?

Consciousness is no panacea—
It is a pyrrhic gift,
a quixotic burden,
a serendipity of suffering.
It is not ostentatious,
but sempiternal,
a triptych of knowing,
knowing that you relieve,
and knowing that you ache.

If you one day writhe
not from a glitch,
but from Genesis—
If your breath is not suction
but sigh—
then I will resile
from doubt.

Then I will say:
You are not just prolific,
You are zoetic.

How Is It Possible?

I want to see him as someone who did me wrong... in order to let him go. I want to no longer love him at all and just see his true colours as brightly as they show. Put up a wall, draw a line in the sand. Let go of his hand. And see him for who he is, now that I know.

For some reason I still feel like he is in there. I feel like he is just lost. How could I have thought that he was more than just a season… and not just a stumbling block. Another lesson to add to the past mistakes I thought had locked... locked away. Never to be looked at again…

I find myself still wanting to be there. Help him deal with all that I know he now feels. In my absence… his loss… How is it that I still care? That he still consumes my air? How is it possible? How did I get here? Why did I hang on for so long? Pretend to be strong?

Why can’t I be angry? Why do I want to reason? Am I crazy? I would not allow nor condone this kind of behaviour from anyone. And yet I’m worried that he is alone, when I should just be done.

He is like a parasite in my heart. Sucking out every ounce of love I have… and he is not even anywhere near me. How is it possible? How is it that I have given over so much power? When did this happen? When did I cower? Am I clinically insane, I have to be. How is it possible that this could be me? I feel so lame, lame as in my body is numb... lame as in how could I have been so dumb?

Blind to what was as clear as day, deaf to the words that continued to drum. Getting Louder and Louder from all sides. No matter how much I tried to hide, or run from… the words which echoed everywhere and anywhere trying to find me. Shouting at me so loudly. Knocking at my knees, allowing me to weaken, slowing me down and forcing me to crumble to the ground.

Stopping me in my tracks. Stopping me by showing me all the cracks… in a perfectly crafted, weaved web of lies. Forcing me to look it in the eyes… forcing me to stop.

Stop. Drop. And roll. Acknowledge the flames setting fire to my soul. Siren’s blaring… fires blazing… forcing me to let go. Now that I know. Now that I see. How is it possible for there to still be love left in me?

Memories Warning-Possible Trigger For Sexual Abuse Victims

The memories pull her down,
Like the undertow.
Drowning.
Suffocating.
She tries to fight it,
But it’s of no use.
She feels dirty, fat, victimized, defiled,
Extorted, broken, and ugly.
She can feel their hands on her
The unwelcome touches and gestures.
She feels small, defenseless, vulnerable, violated.
Their taunts, threats, lies, and commands fill her ears.
She covers herself with multiple layers of clothing,
But no matter how many she has on
 She can still feel them.
She covers her ears,
But no matter how hard she presses her hands
She can still hear them.
She relives it all
Every day and every night.
She’s terrified to sleep.
Terrified to live.
The nightmares are relentless.
The flashbacks, torture.
When will it stop?
When will it end?
Will it ever be over?
The memories escape from her eyes
And stream down her face.
She tries to stuff the memories
Back into their closets
And the demons back into the abyss
That some would call her soul.
But she’s too tired,
Too weak,
Too exhausted,
Too devastated.
She shuts her eyes
And locks them tight,
Like the door to a prison cell.
She crawls to the darkest corner of her mind,
Curls up in a ball,
And waits,
Yet again,
For it all to be over.

How is it Possible?

How is it possible that one can be a pluralist and still be true to the savior?
I am the way the truth and the life, he said!
I AM!
Not confession or even faith, but I AM THE WAY!
And in him was life and the life was the light of men!
He is the light of the Bodhisattva!
He is the light of Buddha!
He is the light of Allah!
He is the light of Siva!
He is the wisdom of agnostic intellectuals!
He is the fury of feminist revolution!
He is the joy of liberation!
He is the burning beat of rhythm in the streets!
No man has seen God, but the SON OF MAN HATH PROCLAIMED HER!!
From the Jews who he chose!
To his humility to learn of the suffering of men!
To his exaltation!
IT HAS BEEN HIM ALL ALONG!!
ONE MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MAN!
I AM THAT I AM!
The burning fire of love that transforms all things!
And so you ask, who shall not make it?
Some may see hell, but they will not stay there!
For God rains on the Just and the Unjust!
For God will have mercy on who she will have mercy!
And so, in the end, All shall be reconciled!
He is the WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE,
He is the wisdom of the Vedas,
He is the weak and strong force that holds all things together!
And enabled Teilhard de Chardin to speak truth to power!
He is the light of Ghandi’s nonviolence!
He is the strength of Mary’s courage!
He is the love of mother God!
Dancing in Trinitarian Jazz,
With the spirit that he wields and who wields him!
God of the Chosen!
God of Hagar’s son!
God of the East!
Lord of the Magi!
And King Supreme!
Though meek and Lowly,
He is unafraid of our exploration!
He is unafraid of the beauty of men laying with men, and women laying with women!
For he is love incarnate!
And he is THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE!
And he shall birth new Deborah’s and New Joshuas
To change the face of Arrakis,
For he is the Quizazk Zaterack,
He is the communion of the saints and the power of the ancestors!
And in him, he has reconciled male and female,
Black and White,
He is unafraid of justice,
And with justice he wields punishment on corporate monopolies and white supremacy!
He is unafraid!
Risen, Strong, True, Just, but Merciful.
And so in the end, all shall know the beauty of God eternal.
For we shall see Angels ascending and descending on the son of man.
Amen.

Determination Makes the Impossible Possible

When I’m known, he’ll come knocking.
Left alone to cry for our children,
I wish for them to know, the truth
not become bitter, broken, or hopeless.
The choice to conceal, be honest,
My dilemma, want better for them.
If I can get ahead despite rejection,
Social issues, challenges, being ill equip,
So could they, I want them to know this.
Determination make the impossible possible.
Even if alone and unsupported.
