indescribable,
untranscribable ~
imbibable, your exotic, quixotic perfume
spiraled me into a quandary
of dirty laundry, penance,
no superintendents in attendance
I come from ragged boys, no poise,
just noise ~ a quiver of quavers,
no saviors of silence,
but if some sap sullies our sister
we'll flatten him
you come from platinum
a blessed nest of nuance,
a quay of kindness,
finesse, fineness ~
savvy sophistication, subtlety
a quaint saint I ain't
then poise met noise
you became my bible;
undeniable, heavy sighable,
unclassifiable ~
indescribable

Wearing shoes of charity works' persistence
Along life's marathon of enduring faith and compassion
Toward fulfilling path of God-driven service
Where "walk* your talk" is taken for granted.

an idle wave to a crony
is how i begin every
expedition to.
maple and oak render
benevolence as we
exchange us.
masters of this realm.
i sense their silent
rhetoric built
from time and
in discipline.
making no bones, the
forest amplifies a familiar tone;
a quaint display; a
hero’s welcome.
vermillion leaves trickle down
like confetti i sense
celebration.
august percussion echoes
freely from inside
the nebulous river,
keeping time so perfectly,
it can’t exist.
birds attempt (chirp__!_)
mimicking some grand
organ but I
am not so sure.
a fortuitous birth and
an ample forest,
i owe everything.

Wisteria vines playfully
Climb the fence
Peacefully entwined midst
The ivy so rich
Tulips open with
Morning light
Regal and colorful
Waxy petals take flight
As they drink in the
Misty dawn’s warm day
Toward night they close
Until morn is on its way
The old oak still
Holds my swing
His arm has grown
Over the years time brings
His trunk is seventeen
Feet around
With roots that the
House now sits upon
I am embraced by the
Majesty of the day
In its purity of newness
And its breeze born sway
This day reminds me of a
Southern belle with all her ruffles
Wisteria buds are the ribbons in her hair
Poise is her beauty mark of grace

A seal atop
a buoy. At anchor we popped up
to such a sight in the Lynher River.
Just how could it balance so? – sleek
and slippery on this sphere, wobbling in the water.
Sighted it slid into the tideway. Into the salt sea, cloudy
with silt suspended, we peered, and wondered.
But then to show us how, it surged
and sprang to perch once more,
as if to pose for a picture.
We were in thrall
as at a circus.
