Poise Met Noise

indescribable,
untranscribable ~
imbibable, your exotic, quixotic perfume
spiraled me into a quandary
of dirty laundry, penance,
no superintendents in attendance

I come from ragged boys, no poise,
just noise ~ a quiver of quavers,
no saviors of silence,
but if some sap sullies our sister
we'll flatten him

you come from platinum
a blessed nest of nuance,
a quay of kindness,
finesse, fineness ~
savvy sophistication, subtlety
a quaint saint I ain't

then poise met noise
you became my bible;
undeniable, heavy sighable,
unclassifiable ~
indescribable

John, I'm so delighted with this, the meter and clever word pairings had me smiling every time I read it (which was many, many times) - especially 'exotic, quixotic perfume' and 'a quiver of quavers' - hopefully your muse will come out of hibernation soon so we can all get more classic John Watts poems (oh and congratulations too)

"I come from ragged boys, no poise, just noise- you became my bible" Wow ! I love everything about this. There is something about opposites attract. I believe this to be true. You have created that comparison perfectly here, my dear friend. Imperfectly so. :) I am smiling. I am placing this in favorites as well. :) Hugs, Brandy
