Best Pertinacious Poems
ONE WORD~
Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis,
Running through my mind,
Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis,
Running through my veins,
A silica odor, dust walks through a fresh desert night
Cool air beneath and above the sea
A warm furnace smell, I don’t understand
Intricate to rise and receive without knowing
Up ahead in a virtue distance
A mysterious poisonous effluvium light-
My face feels like a leaf'
My sun holds up its own pendulum rods
Inflammation comes and settles in for the night,
There it stands in a pertinacious manner, with quality
I resurrect this air created from madness, all over again
Twilight, rain stranger than strange
Visions, pursue my path into an infested dark pasture
"From the red Heaven, I fell into the waters of a cobalt Hell"
Perhaps this venerable moment will pass slower than slow
PERHAPS NOT!
If I accept and then decline
Would this balance the precocious state I live in?
How about when wrong directions follow my promiscuous ways
Is my conglomeration of ideas, no longer safe?
When I no longer value the values of the young
Will I sleep at the mercy of his ancient heart
They're the voices give and take from our health
Today, those soft, perfect eyes are calling from far away,
Ashes high, vapors and infection welding me
The bright skies swallow every thin silver line,
Where the clouds sit somehow~ in bacteria
UNITY!
UNITY! Like a common curse
Always, wanting more than love can touch
We are living it up with no alibis!
A way to be and not to BE!
The champagne leaves their cup
Awaken in a life, disturbed ~ NOW INTERRUPT!
Only in this world, lava will reach her lips
Prisoners and doers;
All night…. Too late for a treatment
Lungs, decaying, evil rats
Direction, affection, ending all the inhalation
Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis,
Running through my lungs,
Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis,
Flat-lined my life ____/\ /\___ ___/\______/\___ _______________

Epic
In their eyes a disingenuous dream, pertinacious pestilence in their stream,
Solitudes sanctioned in their scheme, sacrificial surrenders in their scream…
Hearts contused crippled and crushed, of their voices hindered and hushed,
Landscapes forgotten and flushed, bruised, and battled for death has brushed.
In their world, a cataclysmic crumble, as they rejoice in a homeless humble,
All surrounds their squashing stumble, traumatized in a tenebrous tumble…
Hunger a friend through the night, an empty shell awakes the morning light,
Ecumenical echoes that do excite, as pious pretenders plague their plight.
Subdued souls within a shameful storm, trampled tears of their nomad norm,
Against their will, they must conform, white gloves command in a sinful swarm…
Vanishing views in their mist overpowered and oppressed in a tangled twist,
Will their love ever be missed, for we are all God’s children upon His midst.

What’s the use of trying any longer?
Nothing comes out the way I want it to flow
Words perpetrate my every being
And I strain to get my temperament to slow
But my cognizance is reeling in a panic of waves
The voltage of emotion is overwhelming me
What is this journey impending to?
What is my purpose?
To obliterate or build?
I keep assurances only to splinter and shatter them
I melt into their regrets and apologies without looking back
Then I am slapped right back in the face
With my own waves of shame and qualm
I wish I was like you
I wish I could put a guise on and never show my face
I wish I could take a dagger and extinguish the sorrow
Destroy tomorrow
But it keeps coming back with twinges and pains!
I want to scream my way into your existence
I want to end all the overwrought thoughtlessness
I want to be lifted in your ease
To be beautiful and clever like you
The demon is me and I am foaming with misery
My horns are melting by your pertinacious confrontations
I can’t reply to the desolation of nothingness
I can’t make it all go away
I’m trapped! RELIEVE ME!
Cursed adrenaline rushes about me
My body is prickling and waterlogged in blackness
I swallow the poisons of my backwash
And back-fire every stab in the back

Why is it the intransigent
find the intransigent
to be pigheaded, willful,
inflexible and pertinacious?
Engaging, as it were,
in an endless “tug-o-war”
neither side allowing
for consideration of
the fallibility of the inflexibility
of calcified recalcitrance.
Stags, horns locked,
dying on an empty stage
bleach-white bones
rattling in an unfelt wind.

You made a puerile and repugnant scene.
That was the night you broke a slot machine.
You did it in the casino right out in plain view.
There were scores of patrons around us to watch you.
You pestered me for money in a pertinacious way.
I kept saying to you, “No more money today.
You are having bad luck. This is not your night.”
Your ostensible behavior was enough to cause fright.
With your fist, you thoughtlessly broke the machine’s glass.
The men grabbed you immediately and hauled away your ass.
Furthermore, what happened next did not surprise me
The security guards treated you roughly.
In handcuffs across the floor, they took you away.
Upstairs in their office, you had to stay.
They had you in a dire predicament.
Casino security called the police department.
It was a wasted night with a comp I could not use.
For damages, I wound up paying your dues.
It seemed you realized what had occurred.
You were lucky not to be nailed with a criminal record.
Unfortunately, that did not stop your gambling.
Back to Atlantic City, you kept rambling.
Apparently, you have not learned your lesson to this day.
You thoughtlessly continue to throw your money away.

IT'S ABOUT TIME What are you waiting for?
Take up your dream and start the journey like an eagle,
Soar to every nook and cranny until you reach the pinnacle,
Don't forget to wear your confidence as a missile,
Because fear will definitely be an obstacle.
You have sat for long.
Stand up and start the race,
Don't think about others' lanes, focus on your provided space,
When you are reaching gradually, don't let pride take humility's place,
But remember it's just by grace.
You have been thinking for so long.
Stop and switch on your vision,
Look through and watch your ambition,
Don't let it be a still birth, let accomplishing be your mission,
As you take a step, be pertinacious and never lose concentration.
Why doubt your capabilities?
You have a dream as a tool so why be a pessimist?
Skepticism is a foe to success so be an optimist,
As far as the Almighty God exists,
You will achieve every item on your success list.

Grandmother By Saiful Haq:
Skinny Skin Bloomed with Wrinkles,
Overshadowing her dimples,
Staring with Aghast Eyes,
Expressing herself in a fatuous Noise.
Credulous to lavish promises,
Melodramatic to laziness,
Pertinacious in her religious beliefs ,
Punctiliously attending her colleagues.
Torpidly trekking with a wooden stick,
Very Prone to being sick,
Showering her blessings diligently,
Is the patriotic head of Our family.

FOR A MOMENT
Your cry isn’t loud enough for the world to hear
So wipe your tears.
Even your so called ‘friends and companions’ are turning deaf ears
Wipe your tears and look up to the hills, from there comes your help
Tears come from sorrow’s hole
Tears will continue to flow until you control your whole
Dilute your sorrow’s hole with joy,
And effervescence of smile will frizzle your tears
Don’t pamper that hurt inside, lest, it will linger
Letting go of is the best panacea
Embrace life’s vicissitude, and make peace with your past
Until there’s no tomorrow, fortunes are in life’s queue
For as mischance exists in life’s cast,
So is great chance.
Life can deny you of breakfast, but that breakfast may not be worth comparing with your brunch.
As you crunch, your life realizes that you can wait for tomorrow’s breakfast even if it denies you supper.
Sometimes, life makes you feel Charlie,
Especially when life gives you a malignant glare,
At a moment when you are in a state of ‘devil-may-care’
You are compelled to say cheerio to the world
Because life is using a brusque tone
But when you chance upon successes, you bury that decision
That’s life
Don’t escalate that hurt or pain when life confronts you
It’s just a fortune recess
Embolden your spirit and wait for the resume of success.
#sanguine, sangfroid, pertinacious#..That’s what you ought be……

You will see this phenomenon from day to day.
Salesmen are selling in a pertinacious way.
When you come in, they jump out of their seat.
As a customer, it is you they want to greet.
They try like hell to put you behind the wheel.
Each vehicle in the showroom is priced as a “steal”.
Do you feel high pressure? There is no doubt.
If you first walked in, they want you to drive out.
They are under much pressure themselves by their bosses.
If no sales, then there will be job losses.
They have to move all the metal off the lot,
and sell for the most money everything they’ve got.

You’re loathsome in your pertinacious ways.
Your courtesy goes and your rudeness stays.
Can’t you find other means to make money?
You’re a big nuisance, and it’s not funny!
I don’t want to buy what you have for sale.
If you call back again, I’ll kick your tail!

The Prince was wicked pertinacious,
picky to the 'nth' degree,
inclined to be quite perspicacious
when considering Number Three.
The first had sadly disappointed,
not come up to scratch, you see,
and number two was ill-appointed
for a run at royalty.
His Princess must be slim and cracking!
all the things a bride should be;
the first two had been sadly lacking,
weighing in at 203!
And the Prince was quite the ' leg man,'
boobs and bums bored him to death,
skinny 'gams' got his attention,
drove him wild, he'd gasp for breath!
Number Three was pert and potent!
slender legs her argument, half
the size of each opponent,
her big edge? the smallest calf!
********
...a challenge to write a poem with this particular title,
I deliberately avoided LIVESTOCK!

If your ego is capacious
Or your appetite voracious
For a plucky, pertinacious
Confidence in cherished creeds,
Then your genius, though sagacious,
Conjures arguments audacious
Never seeing they’re fallacious:
Truth be told, you’re in the weeds.
Your disease: a contumacious
Predilection for tenacious
Relics of the late Cretaceous
Buried deep within your soul.
Now the clash of clues vexatious
Shows your self-made strait hellacious;
Still your will proves efficacious
To maintain your status quo.
In the face of facts veracious
When your mood is disputatious
You remain unfazed, pugnacious,
With your slowly dying breed.
Your rebuttals wax loquacious
To escape the perspicacious
But they seem a mite mendacious
To the few who pay them heed.
Though my grousing is ungracious
And my rhyming ostentatious
I won’t stoop to be salacious
For the horror’s grim and cold:
While your heart still soars flirtatious,
Charmed by pterosaurs predacious,
Laxness leaves your brain crustaceous,
Drying, hardening in its mold.

Light Verse
The red leatherette like frozen waves
in a sea of coffee'd air
Cold, plump so early,
there's Formica caught in its glare
Filling slowly with private dreams
while lunch time salad waits
coffee, sweetened, creamed
croissants slipped on plates
If I owned a monochromatic camera
I'd watch the procession of the phoney
Some days it would make a difference
some days it might feel lonely
The door opens like a grave
allows in the stabbing cold
The young not bothered much,
unlike the weak and old
See one is talking the other waits
to say something pertinacious
One is waiting while the other talks
ignoring a crash of dishes
“Would you like a refill sir”
No honesty not even there
All the sugar in the world,
won't change her blank dead stare
In the corner an old man sits
newspaper shakes in dark annoyance
The headlines spoke of eastern dead
while he fights arthritis
