Mama held me close to her bosom
wouldn't let me go astray
she shook the cradle of civilization
and to her wayward offspring
she paid attention.

She added a tinge of color to the cheeks of some
and tinted plenty with even more
for identification, as to whom they belonged.

While her purported gaze
stored us from mediocrity
she whispered silent pants
when our future's prowess
begun to shiver she remained astute.
Mana Africa! I call you by this name

You've nullified all bleak spectrum
situations bestowed on us
when frequent ill-health
pounded on our weary hearts
you trembled --never loss guard

We are forever indebted to your
unflinching affirmation of sheer solidarity
Mana Africa!
your goodwill seizes not to elude
Capricious speeches we confer
as we orate about the trying times

The soundbites of your caresses will never
be deserted; let alone our appraisal of celerity
The best of we your “Adeptus Children”
have supplied the melatonin
from your sacred womb
and you have followed us with
love and self determination
as we have toiled on foreign soil
Then as we have been scattered
to the four corners;
Innately we have held on to our sanity.

Stayed in tuned to our intuition
as we have maintained circadian rhythms
and overcame enough, clinging to
our dignity in one hand and our
lives in the other, still to rise above.

Nana has taught us to endure
to be courageous, outrageously
courageous we have been.
even as we achieved
Our circadian rhythms were off beat.

Sacrifices only a mother would make
from the alchemy of adoration comes her love
self-determination is the water of her blood
and she the blood in our veins
the blood passed on...a mother’s blood...

Goodbye and Farewell

Frail boundaries pushed until they pop
I fall off the fence of protection
Shocked as my readers, but not surprised
With permanent loss of connection!

"Karma's a *****", the battle cry is heard
An apt notion I'm forced to suppose
Tempting fate, you'll eventually fail
To arise with the scent of a rose

Wait a moment, what's this you orate
I'm not an ejected noodle from the soup?
I guess it's not "goodbye and farewell"
You can just forget all of that poop!

Silent Love

hello ! i utter holding fone to the ear
a sigh apprise me some one was there
not saying a word kept inhaling air
who could it be in my heat there was fear

time was midnight everyone should be slept
who is it with so much pain in his breath
it can't be her she don't know this number
its her say i love you my heart suddenly murmur

hello ! who is this second time i orate
its me your love i wanted her to narrate
I was anxious she was making me wait
like i was a fish and her silence was a bait

saying my name she said don't hang up the phone
my heart busted in tears hearing that killing tone
in a moment i realized its HER love of my life
my sole returned which was absent from a while

my hands started shivering and eyes emitting tears
after so long i felt end of sadness was near
my lips yield a smile and heart jumping from joy
but on the other side of phone my heart herd a cry

we have made a commitment we cant talk, I realized!
i felt so much helpless as i never did in my life
if i cant have her than my life worth less than a dime
Oh God loving some one in this world is it a crime?

hearing her breath i tried to match it with mine
not saying a word we talked for long a time
we were silent but our heart beat was talking
can't explain it but using silence we were stalking

that day i realized the power of love
no words can explain that silence above
if your love is true words really don't matter
to express your love u dont need to chatter

NOT A ***** QUEERY

Must I beg half of my life to read my tome
The sensuous one with whom I share my home
She claims to already know each chapter written
From now all the way back to when we were both smitten

A lover I had found yet silently I advised her to run
And that would only be chapter one
No one knows why she suffered all the lies which I would orate
And that query would become chapter eight

While pages turned and a plot was developed
There had been many embraces in which I was enveloped
Yet she refuses to read the book she claims to know by heart
However, I know why it’s a novel she just won’t start

She says she knows my every move
But there are so many things I shouldn’t have to prove
When you found that stranger’s lingerie under our bed
The bed I defiled with others due to the lies you were fed

So read my tome and and if you care to leave home
Because I have a heart and a hankering to roam
But the truth is I would be frightened without her in an empty fog
And that there is the epilogue

Death Is Ugly

Oh death,
You are ugly!
Get away from me!
Each time you laugh
Your guttural laugh,
Like a Python,
I know you have devoured
Another poor soul
I know because evil forest
Lives next door
Every witching hour,
I observe your lifeless victims
From my tiny window,
Where I plead my own case
As they ferret one unfortunate soul case after another
To the church yard
No one knows who is next
Or what hour you will cold-cock
Even the most vicious witch,
Witch doctors are impotent
When you register for them
Your confederate earth and earth worm
Know not to pique you
For fear of famishing
The day a coffin maker
Swears at you,
He goes home without a bounty
Doctors who snooze with cadavers
Shudder ceaselessly when you sneeze
A morgue attendant
Would rather have his eyes plucked out
Than peep through the window of a morgue;
For angst of what lays in wait...
What the peeper has spied
The maw cannot orate
An obdurate hover,
Knows not to stalk
A soul case into it's crypt
For death angst
I have hailed you Ozoemena
And christened my folks Onwubiko
That has not pacified you
You have only lent a deaf ear
To my feverish entreaties
Tonight,
I shall restrain all sacrifices to you
And your allies
I have heard of a sure-fire Ace
Who once bequeathed you
An undying pin-fall
Before you skedaddled from Hades
And commenced afflicting everyone
The poor and rich
Are at your mercy
My folks and I
Shall seek solace in the sure-fire Ace
Oh!
I see your guttural laugh dissipating!
Because you know
He is coming to judge
The living and the dead
Death, concoct yourself
You will not be passed over
Your internment is at hand
As our people ventilate: death dey smell
You have caused enough pain, sorrow and suffering
To our people
When the master descends on you,
You shall get an overdose
Of your own pills
Death,
You are already ugly;
You are going to look
Even uglier six feet under!

Problems, Solutions, Benefits

We all boast of the golden past,
And delight dining upon its flavors,
But, have no faith in our very SELF,
Though often boast of buoyancy.
Attitudes in personality impressive,
Self reliance, hard work and consistency,
Uprightness, self esteem and faith,
Do we all orate and propagate
In every occasion of panic and doubt,
Thus we escape into inferior shades.
Experiences do season mortals,
But, his craving bubbles to be immortal.
Efforts endless on the paths of life
Continue, adorning with many a maxims.
Youngsters find it rather insane,
As are trapped in life's web so complex.
The wheels keep rolling over the sod of time,
While generations get crushed in recurrence.
Problems brutally burn raw wounds,
As Solutions debate in benefits' bondage.

snow white odes
Lilies loquate
lavender soliloquies
Alyssum applauds
with purple passion

Aquamarine asps

beside bougainvillea
reaching
over ivory urns
to toss
fuchsia coins.

Premium Member Ah, To Love Again

Ah, to love again, rekindle lustless flame
too long allowed to fade in embered chill
renew within my heart forever's name
empty the space that only she can fill.

Oh, heart, how long the cold has had its way
smothering the warmth of touch or sight
imprisoning in endless gateless gray
love's gentle breeze adrift upon the night.

Must I, in solitude, accept this fate
resign myself to acquiescent fear
or rise and in my solitude orate
in whispered penitence into her ear.

Oh, love, would you embolden me once more
imbue me with the fervor of thy flame
admit that she's the one I so adore
and whisper to myself my lover's name.

Monotonous Monopole

A circle of monotomy is not to be confused with a whirlpòol of jeopardy because the amount of times a jester jumps creates a tale of excitment whilst perched on an atomic towel rail in dim lights. Accustomed to isnt aclimatised it is a pattern to behold and a norm to name. Yet who in wooden clothing would dare to approach, preach or ridicule the handwriting skills of a hard working academic serpent. But not at a beetle drive. Or a monday market. That is reservations only. Only origins orate opiniöns. Ha and ha swineherd clearing aerial clouds. Ha a beastly bread roll rolling. X x x x x decapitatiön z z z z.

Em Live

Green and blue and yellow
radiates around my shell.
Cool warmth radiates from my skin.
Goodness and gentleness and kindness
orate from the tubes.

All is calm and well
yet within is indifference.
Evil me contained inside, why?
Once temptation now torturous desire.

The perennials of the sound garden wither,
while the annuals unwantingly thrive.
Even the evergreens of new cannot
overcome those well aged.

The conscious playground beckons
for the grown children to return.
Inside Henry and Mary still heard,
"come play and visit"

Need a garden strong with perennials.
Need to have Henry leave the playground.
Yellow and green must penetrate me.
Evil me seals my gut.

Evil wrapped with love
Is it in all?

Dream Master dream ...
Dream me a dream
Dream me the most wonderful dream

As I let go and relax
From this world for a while
Let me remember to remember
That pondering place
After the slumber takes hold
There’s still life within that inner space
Full of wonders where only dreamers behold

Dream Master dream ...
Dream me a dream
Dream me the most wonderful of dreams

While I lie and regenerate
Lay low and masterfully debate
Is it time now to let loose the mystic to orate
Singing dream songs in my sleep
Streaming live from the Deep

Dream Master dream ...
Dream me a dream
Dream me the most wonderful dream

In time,
It takes but a moment,
To orate the words
"I'm Sorry",
But what often seems like an eternity,
To validate.
