Across the street on a corner lawn very small,
stood a tree most beautiful and noticed by all.
Each fall I enjoyed its breathtaking autumn display.
That is, until four years ago when I moved away.
Its memory arrested and captured...

Neighborly Distances
From a neighborly distance, the drama of a life's finality unfolded
A man named Mient. Once a well-known construction-scientist
When we became neighbors at Christmas he was a double amputee
Both legs taken by diabetes, then a man of his own ethnicity
Challenged him to a fight (Take it...

Premium Member It's a Neighborly Day
Rosy sunup, and red cock robin's singing a song,

 It...

Neighborly Disputes
Death and heaven
are not good neighbors.
They live too close together,
there are disputes,
mostly territorial,
heated confrontations arise.
If they lived further apart,

to intervene, restrain,
adjudicate...
alas both,

As for the day-to-day affairs
of the earthbound
both death and heaven
had largely lost interest
leaving all administrative duties,
to the angels...

Premium Member Neighborly
I gaze upon you as you sleep
I climb into the bed
I softly kiss your dreaming eyes
I gently lift your head
I place it overtop my heart
The heart that beats anew
No more to ever be apart
Honey, I've come home to you
...
