Afternoon Getaway

The sunlight streams to the earth below
Beckoning the flowers, "continue to grow"

The pillows of clouds floating by
Are highlighted in the airbrushed sky

A red tailed hawk and his prey on the move
Tracks made by a fawns little hooves

The sound of the water crashing the shore
Boats, kayaks, water skis and more

The sound of the dog running in the thicket
Crows, rabbits, squirrels, and crickets

A jogger and biker on the same path
Meeting and smiling as they pass

A picnic lunch for my friend and me
Beneath the shade of a large oak tree

I Wonder

I look at the moon
I look at the stars
I look at the sky
I wonder..why are they so high?
I gaze at the trees
I gaze at the flowers
I gaze at the soil
I wonder.. how come is it made?!
I listen to the birds singing
I listen to the sound of sea
I listen to the sound of rain
I wonder..how beautiful is that?!
I feel the blowing winds
I feel the warm sunshine
I feel the shade of the clouds
I wonder...how relaxing is that?!
I fear the volcanos
I fear the earthquakes
I fear the tsunami
I wonder..How scarey is that?!
I keep wondering,,who breaks the volcanos, who blow the winds?!
I can find one answer which is How AMAZING is God!!

Dead Calm

It isn't peace
For in peace
Light dances in delight
With the leaves of trees.

It isn't quiet
For when it is quiet
You can still hear
Everywhere the sound of life.

When you cannot hear
Birds chirping in the trees
Bees buzzing around lilies
Butterflies fluttering in the fields,
You only hear the sound of your heartbeat
In the absence of ushered feet
The animals betray an alarm
Dead calm.

It is a sign of danger
Foreshadowing murder
The traitor of life
The bearer of strife.

A gunshot is heard
Echoing in the forest
The birds fly away
Ushered feet running away
For the traitor of life
Has no choice but hide
He must live in the dark
Betrayed first by the dead calm.

Natures Losing War

The lovely sight of blue sea
Again! Well, it might never be…
Receeding coastline and the expanding city
It has shattered this beautiful Natures creativity

The sound of cool soft breeze whistling at night
The sight of shimmering silver moonlight
The early morning atmosphere so serene
Again! Well, it might never be…

For Infants, the sound of a lullaby
Wiping the tears of children when they start to cry
Giving company to elders when they feel lonely
Again! Well, it might never be…

Orchestra of Nature

" Orchestra Of Nature "

My words of choice, let me paint for you
the rhythm of the summers night
with a special touch of nature
lightning flashing colors bright.
There is a gentle breeze of wind
blowing through the dancing trees
creating the musical sound of nature
won't you stop and listen please.
The crickets soon join in
with a squeaking rhythmic sound
now this concert can be heard
from the sky down to the ground.
The flickering glowing stars
send their beautiful colored shining light
adding to this wonderful concert
in the middle of this summer night.
The free floating clouds
cast shadows on the glowing moon
if you listen carefully
you can hear the croaking frog sound beginning to loom.
Off in the distance
I hear a train whistle faintly blow
now the intensity of this concert
is beginning to increase and grow.
This night orchestrated by nature
so full of musical life
I always enjoy it
easing all my daily strife.
Look up to the sky
you may catch the comet's golden swing
sometimes we get to see it
with its wild playful fling.
I feel a sudden splash of rain
floating through the air
getting all wet now
I really do not care.
A loud burst of thunder
speaking up to shout
this lovely Orchestra Of Nature
is what its all about.
My magic is no illusion
just my vivid insight
I am glad to share with you
this rhythm of the summers night...

Have You Ever Heard

Have you ever heard
The whistle of air
Around quiet hills
As the breezes dare
Move over the fields
Turned a luscious green
By the folly play
Of the sun and rain
Battling for the gain
Of a longer stay?

Have you ever heard
The groaning of earth
Like a sole cello
Feeling the sorrow
Of its loneliness
Suddenly regressed
By the sound of feet
In the evergreens
That begin its wake
To life to partake?

Have you ever heard
The sound of water
Like light play of keys
As it finally
Breaks through the surface
Downhill it races
A river is born
That feeds fields of corn
Dancing in the sun
While birds sing their fun?

Have you ever heard
The music of fire
As it bursts laughing
Crackling sparks inside
A warm fireplace where
A family shares
Hot, grilled marshmallows
As they play Uno.
The circle of love,
Miracle of life.

One simple sound always reminds me of summer.
Sitting on the porch , the air heavy with the fragrance
of the lilac at the corner of the house..the sound of crickets
a backdrop for summer dreaming.
Nothing pressing to do, nowhere special to go.
content to just sit and watch the moon..
and listen to the cricket chorus. Sometimes the chirping
is almost drowned out by the sound of the frogs
that live down by the well..but the crickets are
persistent and proud of their voice.
Time is nothing; now is all and tomorrow seems far, far away.

The sound of the breakers
As they hit the shore
Bringing gifts to the sands
As youngsters explore

Coloured shells
Smoothed stones
The wanting
Beach-comb

Driftwood shapes
Crafted on the wave
Some drift forever
While some are saved

But this bearer of gifts
Can deal a different hand
As unwanted goods
Fester our sands

From discarded waste
To the oiled dead
Its the wanton garbage
Our beaches dread

For the sound of the breakers
Natures watery souls
And the volumes of gifts
Beachcombers goal

Sound

Listen to the sound
That is all around

The gentle chirp of the birds
Can put me at a loss of words

Nature's sound is all around
Shedding light that can not be found

Only heard with the ear
So close your eyes and do not fear

Listen to the gentle echo
And the sound will glow

For the stillness of sound
Even when we don't know it's abound

Can drown out reality
And open our eyes to see

That hidden beneath what we feel
Sound can heal

"rain"

I love to sit and watch the rain..
The sound as it hits my window pane..
Like wet rays of sun from the sky..
Big raindrops like beams pass on by..
Puddles of sunshine that fill the cracks..
Opens doors so the water can distract..
Cool drops of rain refresh my face..
I close my eyes to a sunny place..
The smell that comes from a morning shower
Sets free a sound from birds to the summer..
By my window the sky is grey..
But this little shower will bring a sunny day..
