Forgive Me Please!! My Dearest Friend--

Oh! Dearest Friend standing far apart…
With anger and hatred in your heart
I regret what I did to you…
And all harsh things I said to you…

I realize now and repend….
To have lost you as a friend …
What a treasure I have lost....
A true friend with a golden heart!!!

Forgive me please...my dearest friend ...
Can we start....all over again?
Come back to me, my dearest friend....
I want our friendship back again.

Your special place in my heart,
Now lies vacant with you far apart,
It lay empty from the time you went
No one could fill it ever again.

My eyes long to see you,
My ears long to hear you
Oh ! My dearest friend….
How much I miss you!!!

The world is false…
Only your friendship was true....
Now all I ask…
Is forgiveness from you…

Divorce!!....My Thoughts-

When the two hearts united....
And their souls, delighted!
When love blossomed between the two....
Excitement, happiness.... And nothing else they knew....

They longed to see each other....
Counting minutes one after another....
Excitement to be together....
In good or bad weather....

When wedding bells rang aloud....
And sent them onto the highest cloud...
Before an audience they both bowed...
"Together will be in life and death”, they vowed....

Months passed and time was gone...
Differences between the two were born,
They argued, fought and cried...
Alas! Their love had died!!

A loveless marriage, the two were in...
With emotions and affections in the bin,
Feelings between them had vanished...
The relationship was totally finished!

Sight of each, other they hated...
Separation!!- They awaited...
Divorce!-The solution ,they sought...
And Each other they totally forgot......

Now I wonder....

Where did the love disappear?
Was it even there? Ever ?
If yes...how did it die?
And why did they bid each other goodbye?

How can one love someone and then hate?
Is it tensions and problems, or shall I call it fate?
If this is the path of love ...then I would say...
I wish never to walk that way!!

Thank You!!

When I drowned into the sea of pain.
With all the efforts gone in vain....
Money too, gone down the drain....
My back though, remained adamantly lame....

To you doctor, for treatment I came....
And life was never the same again....
Into thin air...my trouble vanished...
I recovered? …Am astonished!!

What a change in me you brought....
Backache!!- I totally forgot!
I walk, sit and stand easily....
And finally! I now sleep peacefully!

Dr Kamath!! Oh! How do I describe you ?
One who brought me huge relief...With a capsules few?
One who cured me from severe pain ?
Or one who saved me from turning insane?

My feelings, Have no words to express....
My emotions though, are hard to suppress....
With total gratitude to you today…
A very special “Thank You”!! I want to say.

A Letter To God

Dear God,

Your imagination...they created...
Your thoughts into life...they translated....
You gave me life and sent me into this world...
They honored your wish and gave me birth.

They nurtured the seed that you sowed...
Treated me as a blessing and not a load...
The right path in life, to me they showed...
Love and affection on me they showered.

To make my happy, very hard they worked....
From fulfilling my wishes, they never shirked....
Education, food and a lovely family, to me they gave....
With a sweet smile, all my mistakes they forgave....

Their protective hand saved me from troubles....
With them around, I never stumbled....
With your creation they never fumbled....
Giving you no chance to grumble....

Hence dear god, I say to you....
For me ,my parents rank before you....
In total gratitude, let us together...
Say “Thank you” to my mother and father.

Devendra Pratap Singh

The face who has no place for worry,
And fear had he ignored.
Such a soldier deserves nothing,
But a Gallantry Award.

This award is for them who,
For their country, let their lives flow.
And look at death face-to-face,
And conquered it with a single blow.

This is the story of a soldier D.P. Singh,
Devendra Singh by name;
He put his life to stake for his country,
And brought with him lots of fame!

He worked in the 55th Batallion,
Rashtriya Rifles, Armoured Corps,
And the mission is what I talk about
Through this poem's course.

The date was 29 January
And the situation was dire;
A few terrorists, in a building,
With guns and heavy fire.

Devendra stood as still as he could
Hiding from the shower that surrounds,
He crawled under the bullets, and stayed
Aiming at the target house.

 Flung from there one terrorist
Dropping bombs all around the space,
Singh took him out with a single shot,
Before quickly changing his place.

The latter tried to flee,
And he aimed at the running few.
He managed to shoot down a second one,
And was applauded by the crew.

This was the story of the steel-nerved man,
Who opposed some bombs and heavy fire;
Who did the impossible, single-handedly,
And made a situation merry, from what earlier was dire.

He was the one worthy enough,
And with everyone's accord;
That he, too now deserved nothing
But that Gallantry Award.

Sonam Snow-Slide

A glacier gobbles Sonam,
the highest military post,
with its nine soldiers in
Arctic sleeping bags.
Lance Naik Thappa lies
in an air bubble as a fetus.
Sense becomes a wretched
thing. Bravery freezes.

After the sunrise, a radio
set at another post cracks
to life with his voice,
awakening the recovery
team. He resists the chill
with his will. Image of a
forlorn family frightens him.

Corpses are dug out
of blue ice boulders.
Thappa’s body is recovered
on the fifth day, with clutches
of death and a rare spark in his
eyes. Press corps move their
cameras, musing how to make
it more sensitive. A pair of
dry lips whispers holy words
before the door of ICU, while
death packs her soldier’s soul.

Pyre burns with flames of
pain. Ash of pride remains.

A Disturbed Sleep

Dead poets
haunt your dreams
and disturb the sleep.

You wake up,
startled
as in a battlefield
fighting
the airy nothing.

Last night,
you remember,
the mosquito fight
you could not win.

Underworld

Koi Kuch bolay to fire marwata tha.
