It came falling in the night
A brilliant joy of silver light
                            Through space and time
                                  has traveled far
                                 To meet earth as
                                   a shooting star
                               Romantic eyes gazed
                                      at it's fall
                              A glittering gem for
                                     one and all
                              Into the earth's dust
                                     finding rest
                                Meteorite finished
                                   her long quest

                                 A little earthling
                                   Came along
                                    Humming
                              "Twinkle, Twinkle"
                                A favorite song
                              With curious eyes
                             Perchanced to meet
                                 The alien rock
                                Just at his feet
                             Dreaming, burnt out
                                 resting there
                           He made her the star
                              Of the science fair

Meteorite

Meteorite

Comet, fast at last, Here!
Hidden from the storm,
Fires in the House of Glory,
Cards prepared to win.

Memphis, Minos, Minus,
Just another rhyme,
When you drop that dine,
Kidding or not!

Won that space & time
Destructive by force,
Concrete with desire,
Comes with fire!

Broken into pieces
There is no need.
For you to fuss or kid!
Time has gone, like a meteorite!

Falling Star

two lane highway
in the countryside
dormant fields sleep
in shadows
reflective markers
count the miles
soft classical music
plays
haiku shared
to ease the way
darkness
and stories of despair
a friend says lightning
will turn winter to spring
a flash of green
all too briefly seen
visions of fortune
I try to believe

Meteorite

It's too dark, and meek, and cloudy in my mind

In my mind.. I'm hoping for some rain all the time, all the time

All the time, I'm looking for the sun.. to shine, to shine

Sun to shine.. into-o-o a de-e-ep blue sky-ii-i

Ii-i-i can't wait to join the stars in the night, in the night

In the night, I'll walk you side by side as your guide, your guide

As your guide,
            as your light,
                     as your meteorite
                             that you wish on...
to make you feel like everything's all right : )

Premium Member If I Had a Meteorite

If I had a meteorite
I would show it in my brightest light
Hoping it would stay with me every night
In my backyard with all its might
It would give my neighbors a bit of a fright
They might treat me a bit more right
If I had a meteorite

meteorologist : Sky to Sea

  meteorite radiates z o o o m m i n g
crashes onto
Three Anchor Bay turquoise
sky dust onto beach white grains
winds sweep cobbled paths profane
a fetus acquires solitary soul lost
womb enlarges posting veins
shine baby blessed shine divine
observation work is thine

platinum pressure paintbrushes
dove hands devilish articulate
Scythian lifetimes past remembered
fast forward ferrolic clocks spun in head
read write and arithmetic dread
chemical interactions drool squiggles
bathe chuckle study laboratory sniggles
grow compete win defeat cry cameos dead
songs atmospheric to be sung, give up dread

pick Robertson berries drink rare ruby wine
justice jugulars delicately combine
smashing glass, meteorite sits silent under
eyelids pink presence fine
explores inner Canaan cobweb caves galore
climbing pineal heights to evolutionary delight
seer sight ~ peel, poetic heal a temporary deal
before lissom living long there will be no chemical chasing ding-dongs to skip
or stormy interactions to dip acid slips
merely alkaline planetary victories to blip

moonlit meteorite slowly surely suavely
becomes mythic master meteorologist merry
odd spacial morbidities burnt and buried
she solitary eats mashed mussels musing …
crack crack hush hush
zero rush

her dust floats across the Bay’s
now cobalt midnight waters smoothly
ocean floor seaweed entangles slave ship sunk
circular rhodium ring twines coral reefs sung
