Red Door

"Red Door"

love opens not
like a red rose,
it caresses you
slowly,
entices you in
holds you
hard and fast,
like a scarlet poppy
opium sweet
inviting, promising
till death do us part,
the elusive everlasting

Euphoric,
intoxicated
as you like it,
as in an Arden dream,
viola tricola potion
dropped softly
sensuously
on seductive eyelids
love-in-idleness
that elixir of l'amour,
Oberon love flies in
mid-summer,
we dance with romance
in the labyrinth’s garden
like a bird caught in a cage
tamed and entranced

L'amour ! L'amour ! L'amour ! L'amour !

The red door is opened
love flies in, then,
the gate is closed;
in such sumptuous
sanctuary
we lay down with love
caught in the dream
‘twould seem,
forever naked
exposed to its fatal charm,
holding on tight
for more, like a drug,
love insatiable
insatiable love

L'amour ! L'amour ! L'amour ! L'amour !

We open the door
love flies in, love’s here to stay;

We open the door
love flies away

Premium Member Rant Against Bad Drivers

Some adults should go back to driving school,
those who seem not to comprehend red signs
at four-way stops. So many act a fool
and take my turn. Oh, there should be stiff fines!

Some licenses, I long to cut to bits.
Those jerks who chase me down, then ride my tail
or pass, then cut me off--all give me fits.
I want to see them languishing in jail!

But since there's nothing I can do to keep
these idiots from taking to the wheel,
I'll just drive on while hoping they will reap
what they deserve. I'll mask the way I feel.

My middle finger I will not hold high.
I'll watch for menaces as I but sigh.

The MIGHTY AVENGERS
                               By James Edward Lee Sr.

In this so, surreal universe
Individual hero's come abust
Evil Norse God Loki
Wanting to destroy this earth
Came about a ruse a plan to also destroy
Thor: the God of thunder
So by doing this he enlisted
One of earths menaces
He created a vision of The incredible HULK
Rampaging, galloping across the city
eVEN THO there were a many of hero team available
To come and combat the danger
Those few were caught-up in their own heroic adventures
At this time in theses modern times not enough hero's to go around
The Fantastic Four were busy
The Teen Brigade took it upon themselves
To radio contact single superhero
Invincible Ironman flying to the scene
Thor God of thunder also arrives at the same time
And as the size of a fly, a ant also came Giant man and the Wasp
Now all together they combine their power and fight the real Hulk
Loki plot falls through
They, the newly gathered super hero's
Defeat the evil Norse god, Loki
They claim down the real Hulk
After winning the battle
They decided to stay together
And battle criminals, evil, and bad hero's...
As the Mighty Avengers

AVENGERS ASSEMBLE.......

A Little Ration

Heat my heart I hear a hero
this soul soothed, stilled, and silenced
golden, growth, gave me a guru
within, wild, waiting to whisper
I inclined, initiate impossible
imagine infinite isn't so infamous
IMHO SMH serves no justice
TKO LOL no need omega
delighted to deliver dharmic direction
self-appointed steward of selfless
practiced not perfect, positive portions
critical for compassionate connections
we, world, will win, with unity
culture continues to counter crosses
mediated meeting my middles merciful
If you think you know then answers pass by
not one mind built this vision
landmine lands filled with landfills
minus minding multiple menaces
covet care cause its a rare case
corporate ladder, or conscious staircase
choices chastised, for coursing courageous
caring contagious, counting on cowards
evils aired aren't left faceless
sights for sure are sore from wayside
be the change to see a day is seized
stay cold-hearted and this place will freeze

A Battle To Exist

Deep pain bores into scalp as eyelids struggle to open;
Glaring sun menaces eyes as they face the sky boldly.
First thought dawns on me like elixir; I'm alive!
The vast blue sky seems to smile upon my spirit holy.

Hands try to grasp hot sand as I wade to turn on stomach.
Pitiless grains escape between my fingers, mockingly.
In tremendous effort, I crawl to nearest patch of shade.
My heart pumps heavily while sweat oozes out profusely.

Images flash; I'm pushed off yacht by lover unfaithful.
Mock inability to swim; I acted it wisely.
His satisfied grin is all I could see before diving.
Skills of past champion revived, I swam courageously.

This virgin island, is haven to me now;
Life's strong in me! Branches I shove away, decisively.
Cautious exploration; Travelers trees welcome me.
With stick sharp I poke at it, water flows abundantly!

I do drink to my content and refresh myself while hares
jump around; I whisper to them and one stops daringly.
"Angel" I mumble as I follow it; on water melon I stumble.
Food! Hit with stone; humid sweet red flesh to wolf greedily.

Twigs, I gather and "SOS" I draw on the white expanse.
Angel from hole, under branched tree, beckons me temptingly.
A red bird hovers; branches dry and green, some Ravenala leaves,
enough to give me most desired tree lodge, marvelously.

"Now, some thorough exploration." Angel nods approval.
Disgust filled heart softens and I long to hug her fondly.
On other side of island, I land in a rocky area.
Good heaven! Rainwater is trapped in a pond; so lovely.

The sun sets the direction and I venture inland.
Swarm of mosquitoes invade my burnt skin, voraciously.
I run like a mad to land among wild peppermint.
No mosquito here…repellent herbs! I deduce quickly.

Handfuls I pluck, to rub on my body at night.
My watermelon shell, now dry, serves me efficiently.
Pipik, my red bird and Angel watch "friends, how to light this tinder nest?"
Eureka! here, my heart shaped glass pendant gleams suddenly.

Settled nearly for a week now, hope never leaves me.. I'm to live!

Alas, in sports, circumstances looking grim
But, help spewed forth, this day,by installed clowns.
To be born a woman, comes forth a new spin?
You decrepit menaces of DC town!

Gigantic males, may compete in their games.
Female dummies will be used in crash tests?
Brutes, who tower over them with no shame
Female equity shining at is best??

True, we may not win trophies anymore.
Let’s see macho trans-men giving birth?
While females,dishonored in a crash-car?
Devoid of a single human on earth.

Note
Representative DeLauro…suggested female
dummies in crash cars. As if those used now,
were males?

She Won'T Know

What's all this fuss about
Haven't I furnished all your dreams
Wildest and the untouched ones
You Cantankerous bullheaded moron .
Your beastly charm woos me so much
So that I completely asphyxiate myself
Bent on obeying all errands .

You cry rupturing my passion loaded heart
Guess what ?I buy that ****
Turn myself into an ATM machine .
Touring every sale at Macy's
Stock some more of your wardrobe
Abercrombie, Guess ,Calvin Klein,Chanel it is .

Next day frenzy switches off to other things
Now we want new apartment ,new vicinity
Then follows my makeover , hair and teeth
Transforming myself to suit your beliefs
I Plump your spirit soaring high in the sky
I realised I have become a slave you reign on .

Hell I am erasing all blues and grays
At last giving way to the gyre of dilemma
That so long had tossed my thoughts into fray
Now no more ,let me start up my liberation
Shackled by menaces of turmoil and dejection

I wonder ,after a decade or so when your head greys
Someday you may trail backwards to my dynamism
Swearing for sure to yourself, if not alone
Flinching a bit, forcing a smile as the wind blows by the
Ocean side , where we used to lie for hours
And a Teardrop would come out of your eye .

The Brotherhood

Ready, set, aim, fire
Destruction will follow
With tools of fury, becoming a deadly weapon
Piercing the advocate of havoc
Born from anger, born from battle, no more compassion
Ultimate soldier, Ultimate killer, leads a trail of mayham
Strick down enemies, compressing are sorrow
Menaces beckoning, strength in protection
Leading devastation, the brotherhood forever
On the battle, on the frontline, at the edge of death
Commitment means casting are lives away
Hearing the sound of atomic weaponry
Voices of the dying trying to resist the end
Men with the mission of extermination
No flesh shall be spared, create a living hell
Why do we do it, blood and machinery falling from the sky
Bullets raining down on skulls
Piles of bodies reaching heaven
I loving licking the enemies blood from my fingers
Victory waltz on their bodies
Scars, clouded eyes, sheer madness
No peace, no tranquility, no reconciliation
Dogs bearing their fangs bringing despair and disturbance
Lives become worthless under law and order
Utterly absurd, fruitless lives can't bloom
Offering obedience, offering your soul
Raiding for a triumphant
The brotherhood forever

Girls In Pakistan

In Pakistan, the Taliban,
Which flaunts an iron rule,
Thinks girls of every age belong
At home and not in school.

And females who defy their laws
Get targeted and shot,
To prove that force and power
Are the things they haven’t got.

But what they do possess, in spades,
Which keeps their spirits yearning,
Is a passion for equality
And appetite for learning.

It’s hard for me to comprehend
Why this is such a threat;
How education menaces
Is something I don’t get.

Yet bullies with their weapons
Love to ambush and attack,
Believing (falsely) that these tactics
Will hold females back.

So bravo to you fearless girls
Who’ve banded in alliance
And manage still to get to school –
So daunting in defiance.

The world is hoping, fingers crossed,
That from the seeds you’ve planted
You’ll be allowed the education
That we take for granted.

Narcissa

Reflections are like a drug
to her brain, shooting
through her eyes
like pure cocaine

She's drawn towards
each visual echo, as a
flame draws a moth
in their deadly ritual

What will be her flame,
her Nemesis, will it
be this vanity, this pride
that menaces?

Pride and Prejudice

Roots of brothers’ enmity

Days of thunder rise
When skin and classes
Did society divide
Into angry masses.

Disabilitating pride
Of prejudice impasses
Bursting into fire
Erasing crevasses.

A powerful dynamite
Abolishing classes
In fatal crossings like
Those of sea lasses*.

Fire raced worldwide
In tragic menaces
Destroying empires
For their trespasses.

World yet divided
Historical enmity clashes
Rooting in the first crime
Abel and Cain’s buried ashes.

By CarolineCécile
March 2007.

* Sea Lasses is a metaphor for cruise ships like the Titanic.

Age of Sail

Imagine ships glissading into harbour,
their masts scraping the sky, sails aloft,
billowy, like great bird wings fluttering.
Captains navigate their ships into port,
return voyages that crossed the seven seas,
riding the waves, north and south, east and west
from Jamaica to London to Timbuktu,
ship holds filled with bananas, sugar, rum
and molasses from sunny far-off lands.

Wives awaiting husbands’ safe return home,
pacing the widows walk, reading letters
sent months ago, hint of hardships and
menaces at sea that fuels anxiety:
imaginations run wild, spiralling –
fierce brigands besieging vessels at sea;
sudden squalls threaten ships, tossed to and fro,
waves like a leviathan, thrashes and roils,
wrecks run aground, pummelled by pounding surf.

One Thought Fits All

adamant energy aiding my anger management
composing into compassion in fashions that are magnificent
we are the innocent, for only enlighten chosen have their noses
outside coincidence, perpetual planning and landing so very intimate
living beyond the internet, feelings coming out as if ventriloquists
were speaking from yonder seating, barely believing my own sentences
minus all menaces, here's where positive blesses this
consecutive benefits, to draw a collective intelligence

Fluctuating Fortunes

Fluctuating Fortunes

There was a brutal dictator, a strong man, who ruled a unruly
country with a steel sword that dripped of menaces and blood.
For a while he was our ally when he fought a war with a country
we didn´t like; and we helped him with weapon and intelligence.
Yet there was another side to him, women were not oppressed
under his rule, they could dress as they liked and seek the highest
education. The Christian community too was accepted, and people
could walk out at night in peace; but he went too far, invaded
a country that was our friend. Well, we invaded and he was duly
hanged and few tears were shed. For the women the revolution
was a disaster, no longer can they go out without risk being shot for
not wearing a chador and the Christians were falling over themselves
to flee or risk being killed. That is the way of the world when there
is a upheaval the minorities and women have to pay the price.

Usually, I'M Afraid of the Night

Usually, I'm afraid of the night.
The night is dark and full of menaces,
Only the fridge in it is so bright
And full of lovely many things.
