I wish I was a mountain
With a bold gray granite face
My only tears a waterfall
That magnifies my grace
Each passing cloud, a misty shroud
Which adds to my mystique
Majestically, I'd wear a crown
Of jagged snow-capped peaks
Adorned with trees of all species
A wildlife sanctuary
My slopes I'd share with deer and bear
The bald eagle our emissary
With the wisdom of a billion years
I'd gained through flood and drought
We'd live in peace and harmony
That humans live without

THIS IS THE DAY THE LORD GAVE!
Looking out life’s window,
Trying to find out why I am so sad and down.
I don’t blame the Lord for my struggles.
I know strife in life is there.
If I did not live a meaningful existence, life would have no meaning at all.
So maybe I am stretched to the limit but I will never give-up.
Standing, I pillar because I am my self-worth.
To those that suggest a difference, my earthly work magnifies who I am.
Justifying my subsistence, my affluence is only a gen.
The knowledge this provides is of a greater acumen.
May I say that living is first and utmost privileged circumstance!
The Lord is my keeper and to him I give honor and respect.
In this solitary world, we seek companionship.
We go through situations in our relationships and may lose focus.
However, the Lord is there for us in our time of discontent.
Regime is formed and we mindset.
Our spirits are inner cored for fulfillment.
There is no greater cohort than the Lord’s intellect.
I know because this mountain I continue to peak.
Without question, I am profound in my belief.
That the Lord is the keeper of my faith and mankind is the persuader of a different way.
In joy, I laugh aloud.
I am not blind to the lies of mankind.
My footsteps are admin to the all-powerful.
This day is given by The Almighty God.
Do I hear an Amen?

Pastoral
The fear of darkness seems to threaten most-
when we are lost and groping in the dark
of self. We blame unknowns; the devil, ghosts,
or even God, for fright that comes with stark,
cold, empty blackness. Courage will depart;
just like a pearl dropped in a sea of ink,
its glow will die, while fear's black magic art
revives despair between each hurried blink
of eyes that stare at shadows to incite
imaginary monsters of the mind.
But oft, these visions are the mirrored sight
of what we see within as eyes are blind-
for darkness lights and magnifies the whole
dim panorama of the troubled soul.

To those who can not see what others do
smile...it's the best protection for any kind of day.
unlock those child like fillings we seem to let slip away.
compassion it's what so many in this world don't have.
know this is life, this is a gift not a right so just laugh.
s.u.c.k.
easy to say I know but look...really look
if you woke this morning is that not a reason
happy, mad, sad, or hurt,
we all fill it like a change in the season
we love we loss and we have we have not
alone because we made that way
in love for we want it that way
but all the pain it's not something we sought
your not alone, your not the only one, we all fill
tears washed over too many times before
if it didn't how would we find tears of joy
just look...we take so much for granted get up concur that hill
smile
unlock
compassion
know.
if you could change any thing would you
to be mean bitter magnifies difference's
who has more who has less
when it doesn't matter this morning it all started a new
the power we hold and so many don't know
is change if we don't like, if we don't want change it
it is no one fault you let it rule you, you let it grow into hate
mean people s.u.c.k. now just let it go.

The more we focus on what shines inside
That has us taking this amazing ride
Living life's highest high's
To the stars, so we can mystify
About our love, we won't let slip by
In a place, we can both occupy
Where we see the beauty eye to eye
Baby, it will never be about saying goodbye
You sure know how to make my spirit fly
The good lord would testify
How you taught my heart to reach for the sky
You have to know how hard I try
To give you my love supply
Energising what grows so deep inside
Knowing we have concord love far and wide
How wonderful it feels living without having to hide
Opening up a world that we can justify
Where our life is so electrified
Love that brings on life's most rewarding high
With a woman, who magnifies
All the love that reflects from your eyes

O, beauty, blooming late under summer sun,
unrestrained crape myrtle, indeed you are one
species I will allow blest freedom to run
in wild abandonment.
You alone grace my deck with expanse and height.
As the soft winds bid you to dance, I might
join beneath your limbs by chance and take flight,
floating to Shangri-La.
I sense your trunk trembles when I take my shears
to prune your wint’ry skeleton. What appears
to be cruel, strengthens you throughout the years -
a blessing in disguise.
Your August glory magnifies my whole world
as your gorgeous, rosy pink blossoms unfurl
into a parasol. Your magical whirl
hints of Mary Poppins.

Ode
the rain is my motivaton to cry the night away
it is the inspiration for a solitary serenade
it echoes through the mausoleum of memories in my mind
and it washes away the pain with the help of father time
the rain reunites the senses and induces tranquility within
it also intensifies emotions like the ocean against the wind
it offers harmony to humanity and it calms the savage beast
it cleanses soul, self and spirit to say the very least
it renders a mirror into your soul that magnifies your ways
like the puddle from the rain reflecting the image it displays
happiness is to day like rain is to tomorrow
how can we ever know happiness if we never known the sorrow?

He wears his frame with dignity.
Moves amongst the throng with confidence,
with a buoyant outlook
that defies everything malignant.
He magnifies his letters until
they are neon bright and shining
messages for his eyes alone
And augments sound until
each letter thrills like a breathless
poem, spoken for his ears alone.
Can he see right through the covert
messages people send through
thick air like fog suffocating?
(We think he cannot, we think he
fails, we think he doesn't see the
labyrinthine manipulations people
use for information and interaction.)
Can he hear those hidden connotations
of words?
(We think he cannot,
we think he fails, we think he hears
only one track of a multitrack tape.)
He rides his chair with poise,
loves with afflatus, with fire,
animus and anima. And leaves behind
what cannot be carried into the
present. But finds in the past a
strength to fight and avenge, not
revenge. Find justice for those
denied in the past and today.
He smiles, smile with him, and
meet him halfway, he is new.

Emerging in the dark,
A pale ghost cast by the moon—
Authenticity—
With the glow of rawness and power
The song of truth so precious
On a tongue that is pressed for
Change—submissive change—
Cradled in the prospects of devotion
The clouds covering the perfect circles
Penetrating through a lens
That magnifies true, imminent light
Of gleaming giants in velveteen skies
Fearless revelations
That accomplish alluring awe
The conundrums of life
Beyond us—beyond words—in us
2.12.20
Note: Those alluring mysteries...in us...if only we knew how to reveal them like the thin clouds reveal the soft circular shape of that glowing moon, as it floats so carefree... yet so purposefully in the sky. I like to compare our vulnerabilities and our abilities to the universe. They are vast, and can reveal such beautiful things about us.

dreams feed
the reality and we
free from common, strengthen
our reality...
the hallucination of
being clay hallucinates us,
but the reality of being
soul...
magnifies us, cheers us up...!

Light Verse
Well organized organisms are wary of defense
these shields defy all odds to justify the integrity of our borders
the enemy’s need to conquer and the drive to dominate
is stopped b’cos with the men in uniform, great cities are fortified.
Sworn to be dedicated back room boys
their sacrifices have made livelihood well simplified,
every soldier’s fall magnifies our strength and existence
each and every salute dignifies the country’s reputation.
The quest to penetrate border and envelope lands are questioned
b’cos with the last drop of blood, they’ll nullify all antigens
placed as utmost priority, even the ants can comprehend
nothing can therefore falsify the commitment of these men.
A nation’s defense scales its survival
every victory intensifies each citizen’s patriotic passion
a country’s posterity lies on each sweat-soaked uniform,
their mortality is crucified, while someone else-glorified.
The oneness of the country can testify
with every of its citizens fully satisfied.
Diplomacy has kept the battle field’s frequency modified
but history of victories already beautifies our coat of arm
With the structure of nationhood so diversified,
the zenith of their zeal has kept us unified
the globe has been notified of such a powerful drive,
keeping our enemies and rivals completely horrified.

Blues in the Night.
A malignant moon
shines his metallic claws -
combs my hair and brushes me forward.
I am alone in the shadowy crooks
of a poisoned metropolis.
A clandestine garbage chute -
where waifs and strays burn
within the fetid bowels
of a cavernous concrete underbelly.
The orphanage awaits my arrival,
as muted outcries are crushed
beneath my footsteps.
A parentless prison
teeters atop Utopia's dreaded brim;
the hamlet where Orwell slew Hilton.
St. Peter has been released
and no longer tends the kitchen.
Agony and angel wings reneged
a redundant brotherhood of sorts.
His recipe for remorse shall be missed.
Blues in the Night.
In the distance,
feigned epileptic outbursts
placates a patron's fears.
Caffeine injections
stimulates another's venial sins
as it magnifies their cardinal options.
An insomnious woman converses
with a napkin holder. The surface
is dull and unreflective, like she.
Banter never-to-be heard
by her never-to-be gentleman caller.
I am home –
amongst the dead I adore.
A haggard waitress serves me a menu.
A laminated journal stained
with melancholy and mustard.
Desolation and demi-tasse
are tonight’s midnight special.
Ten cents additional, if you order deluxe.
Blues in the Night.
I twiddle my thumbs
for I have no other’s to borrow.
I catch my rugged reflection
in the asylum’s window.
I espy my counterpart again
in a twisted spoon -
realizing I’m three utensils short
from a grievous quartet salted
with Mack Sennett misfits.
A collection of dishes clatter
above the sanatorium’s jukebox.
I place my spoon on the counter
and pick up a lifeless knife.
I envy its potential and possibilities
as Woody Herman croons
in the background.

Memories of a love I’m losing
arrested thoughts on sculpture paper-
an altered photograph, adorned
by hand cut leaves, evergreen shades, and lace
From the page emits, cricket songs
drifting to gloaming, and on and on
into my own mandarin twilight.
I adjust a pair of glittered wings
to your thorax, twiddle them
these symbols of your intending flight
Next, I place a crumpled love letter.
its text, garbled by smeared on gesso
Covered so no one will guess the message-
except, perhaps where a small spy glass
magnifies, I LoVe YoU- I LoVe YoU-
High on the page a bluebird brightly sings
