Invasion of Dreamland

INVASION OF DREAMLAND

How is it that you still invade my dreams and stir up such feelings of desire?
Motives reproachful for me you had yet subconsciously suppressed you are'nt
Not a thought for you during waking hours is given yet my dreams you haunt by
your presence
Yearnings for you exist even if only on subliminal levels
One AM I turn in my sleep and the dream rushes to memory as vivid as reality
I am a slave to this pen and pad no sleep will be attained if these events go
unrecorded
Truly blessed I am for this gift of creativity; grateful am I for my ability to express
even my darkest emotions beautifully
Off to the land where no lies can be told...
Off to the land where one’s deepest wants are expressed...
Pride and shy hold no existence here...
Focus on the most wanted desires before landing there and maybe, just maybe,
you will experience them
Welcome to dreamland...

My Lost Valentine

Today, I sleep with a thorn pricked in my heart,
Tomorrow I'd wake up with the same pain as before.
As I closed my eyes, I dream of you;
Kissing me to wake up and accept the truth.
And in the middle of the night I awoke sadly,
My heart bleeds like stabbed by a thousand daggers
Then I tell myself, "If this is what losing love means,
I'd rather sleep forever, bleed and be found dead."

Bed Built For Two

Here I lay
	at 12:10
on this bed
	built for two
that tries
	to sleep one,
but sleep is hard to find
	as we love each other
from a distance.

It’s hard for this man
	who fell in love
with you
	when still a boy
to close his eyes
	and not see
	your face,
to listen in the quiet
	and not want to hear
	your heart beating with his,
to touch the sheets
	and not need to feel
	your body between his hands.

All this and much more
	do I miss
when you’re not here,
	and I lay
on this bed
	built for two
that tries
	to sleep one,
but can’t
and won’t
	without you.

The Steel and the Sand

To the clan of the sun, who walk the dunes, and sleep in the shade.
to the clan of shadows, who ride the steel rails, and sleep in the rain.
who have never in life known, they were of one.
but now in death they shall join at heaven's door.
they will walk together into the light.
they will ride as one into the shadow of night.
So, when you hear that lonesome whistle blow,
you'll know it's them laughing and singing, somewhere in the distance.
close your eyes and say a word;
may god keep those of you, who have ridden on,
and watch over those still among us.
So, when my ticket is finally punched,
and my trains ready to roll down the final track.
i watch as life's station leaves my sight,
i'll know i'm comming to join you.
then we can finally take, that frist ride together.
than shall we forever be of one.

Alright

As I sit here and write this poem
Tears come and I just can’t hold em’
I am so happy to have you in my life
With you I see the light
With you I feel as high as a kite
With you I can put up a fight
With you the future is bright
With you a wedding is in sight
With you I make it through the night
With you I just feel alright
With you my love takes flight
With you I feel no fright
With you I will sleep good tonight
With you I will sleep tight
Baby, with you EVERYTHING is just right!
