Best Loved Ones Poems
Chased by the fleeing clouds
defined by the wind
life running too short,
make peace with loved ones.
Tell them you love them,
hug them and be moved.
Tomorrow might be none,
for later tears and broken heart,
it'll hurt when they're beneath the earth.

Happy Holidays to all my Soup Family
Remember me when you hear the wind blow.
I am with God, I need you to know.
He called my name, and I went to see
If the voice I heard was speaking to me.
He took my hand, we walked along
The road to heaven, where I belong.
The angles sang so sweet and clear.
They sang of love and that Jesus is near.
I felt his touch, I saw his face,
I knew in an instant I was in his grace.
He spoke to me, I heard him say,
You are home now child, you have found your way.
So remember me when you hear the wind blow.
I am home now with God, I need you to know.
In Memoriam Quietly Always Close
Are they whispers, then, settling
So gently upon that slightest breeze wending
Over the granite crosses and statues of cradling angels,
Which stand in their long cemetary rows?
Stating each name of the one passed on with
There-on etched, too, the noting of time alive
And telling of the beloved, who hum there their slow laments;
Who send up colorful balloons to celebrate their love and
Take far their silent greetings in the sky.
Are they lullaby heartsongs, which
Rise on sprigs of heaven-bound light,
So tunefully sweet for love’s addressed, aided
By a league of angellic composers
In their lyrical rounds from above our earthly sphere?
Are these the places of our hushed sympathies?
The places we lay over our dear ones
All the broken pieces of the grieving heart’s still longing
To stay in some way forever near, and, so, we linger thoughtfully
Criss-crossing the undulating final verdigris
Landscape, which embraces the last remains ~
Resting on in heaven’s wait for that further journey going on.
Are these faint mists surrounding
So many hours of our own remaining days —
Which are spent summoning back the stories, the touches,
The eyes that happily cast their glance into our own —
Not truly our tears
Being turned to magnifying memories,
Prayerfully appearing with each
Dusk’s close of day and placid rise of the radiant moon?
Do see that the soundless falling is our aching?
Is a furor — burst of pure, white snow:
A flash of a blizzard, looking nearly weightless,
Landing in silence, but
Incongruously, falling heavily down, into those forming crystalline layers
To dress a seeming lace-like çover over all the stone markers
With a luminous beauty, revealing a metaphor, ineffable
~ Blessed markers of life itself set here before us
Within reach of meeting the Divine.

Thanks be to God…
I was listening to our song
the one I wrote to you
and something came to
top of mind
the thing I intrinsically knew
What we had with our first love
that deep trust combined with lust
the thing that bound us together
was conviction
the clearness of how we felt
its now so obvious
But we were young when we first had it
we did not know then how rare it was
to have that bones deep awareness
the thing that made us really care
We loved each other for a lifetime
because of it
you taught me what it was like to really love
I am so glad we got to share it
the last few months you were above
And though you have gone to rest
I know in my bones now
what it feels like to be completely loved
its a base the platform
the foundation
leaves nothing for imagination
the feeling was mutual
and yet indescribable
words don't do it justice
It was for us dear
and though you have gone to rest
I still feel you near
and hold our memories dear
hold our memories dear
and with that, you are still here

An Apology to the people loved & lost (dedication)
just for closure.
I had a vision and I grabbed it
Sought after a long verge to succeed and I dreamt of it
Unaware of what I had become
Pained-heart-blood-stained tears I will never succumb
For the pain caused
The misunderstandings never clarified
Feelings never fought for
Mistakes to hearts left sore
Scores settled in vengeance
A visioned plot with only “I” in emergence
A detrimental being set-forth I conquer
Moment of silence for the love lost, for closure
Self-made pioneer designed by God to prosper
In “her” heart I hope I left a mark for posture
Still in mine…
I only wish she knew I wasn’t an imposter
From a distance
I post my love sealed with heart crumbs
In first instance- that’s how we fell in love the first time
Bitter sweet
How love feels after the future in past time
Marked territories, course, paths
In avoidance we will never meet
Out of love fear respect, your wish granted in a heart-beat
The tricks of time…
If we cross-paths I will always greet
Unapologetic to the sympathetic
Thoughts of success an adrenaline rush to the charismatic
I should’ve known…
Even love wears off from the charismatic…
I thought I knew till I lost a few
I’m only human, not an excuse, but a better view
Forgive to forget not
I chose my path for the success still sought
Second chances by all means offer second mistakes
I only wish patched-up friendships to re-trace the steps
A simple nod in acceptance in the name of family
A soft kiss on the forehead in remembrance of love
From souls departed, a sign of acceptance from above
For what I have become
The impact you have made
Forgive but forget not, only for closure…
Loved ones reunited after almost 37 years to the day,
So much time to make up for, so many things to say.
Tell him about your children, grandchildren and the great,
Tell him how you missed him but how it was worth the wait.
You made so many memories and now it's time to share,
Us with those in this world, you with those up there.
These memories will keep us close when world's keep us apart,
Remember with a smile what's forever in our hearts.
Finally together, husband and wife,
Making up for every moment, missed here, in this life.

There are only two ways to lose loved ones.
We lose some while living, others when life is done.
With those who are gone, we have no control of.
But, to those still living, we should show love.
That can only be done by knowing sacrifice.
Which involves pain, and seeing a grown man cry.
Once our loved ones are gone, we’ll never be the same.
We will never be able to control that enduring pain.
We have to be persistent which requires a lot of work.
It’s called loving someone before they leave this earth.
That opportunity can disappear over a single night.
Show that person love, while they still have life.
Christmas of loved ones in Heaven* is blessed jubilation
Since such is wondrously grand celebration
With God the Father Who planned mankind’s salvation
Indeed the omnipotent Author of sovereign destination…
Oh, there they feast on the riches of divine compassion
So grateful for His faithfulness beyond comprehension
In rescuing sinners from hell’s condemnation!
Christmastime in Heaven of loved ones is blissful satisfaction
Since they are in fellowship around the Giver of redemption
With Jesus Christ Who was born for transgressors’ regeneration
Indeed the way, the truth, and life’s victorious perfection…
Oh, there, they bask under delight of worship-exaltation
So praise-filled for His precious sacrifice toward glorification
In offering eternal gift that’s worthy beyond imagination!
Gathering in Heaven of loved ones is sublime commemoration
Since they acknowledge together the Deity’s merciful function
With the Spirit of truth and illumination
Indeed actualizing hope midst faith’s realization…
Oh, there, they cease not to thank the Almighty, sans hesitation
So humbled for granted pardon as well as pure justification
In transforming lives toward new-creation’s optimization.

Light as a feather
Free as a bird,
Untethered.
My soul takes flight
Bound for I know not where,
Yet I know that I must go.
Like those who have passed before me,
Now it is my time.
It is with mixed emotions that I leave
This world, my family and my friends.
Then wings of faith embrace me
And I feel my spirit soar.
The angels envelope me
In a welcoming embrace,
My dear old friends surround me.
I have reached my destination.
And so, my loved ones,
Smile through your tears
In fond remembrance of lives shared.
And when it is your time to pass
And you must begin your journey alone,
My hand will be the one
Reaching out to guide you on your journey home.
For time, space cannot the opportunity squander
With streaming video distant love grows much fonder
Magnetic beams glint through the wild blue yonder
Grainy, jittery images oft-forsaken hearts to ponder
Air waves blipping images through bleary transponder
Eerie prescience of the whole, but piecemeal shapes do launder
Irony, modern technology, 1930's Spanish cinema does corresponder
Crouching, girdled with adrenalin of a First Responder
Matted wigs, flat toupees across streaking screen wander
Silky-brunette locks dimmer; brown bangs look blonder
Shadows in a swirling blender, to homesick minds a bonder
Stealing a few precious minutes, then with love absconder
Christmas is here
The family is gathering for the holiday cheer
We should all be excited
Completely delighted
We are all invited
To the bowling alley again this year
For a few good laughs
And lots of good beer
Where nobody naps
With open taps
Little ones doing laps
Music blasting
Lights flashing
Teenagers dashing
Pins smashing
White elephant laughing
One big Christmas celebration
With plenty of family medication
Grandma's feeling the holiday sensation
All of us living these positive vibrations
Hope we all will be there this year
So well done
I believe I can speak for everyone
This holiday event was so much fun
Christmas with family, you have nothing to fear
Always a blast with so much cheer
We should make it a holiday premier
Darrell & Lola have truly spun
This memorable day for everyone
Nothing like sharing a holiday meal
How getting together with friends and family
Really makes your soul feel
Together with loved ones priceless
Be sure to seal
This special holiday deal
That will fulfill
Everyone's Christmas thrill
Loosing a loved one is very emotional and final
One moment you are here and the next your in denial,
Sometimes in your mind you think they are still here
Until you go visit the grave site then it all becomes so clear,
The realization that our loved ones are no longer with us in their earth bodily form
They are spirits that surround us and try to keep us warm,
From harm and evil that tries to destroy us
Remember their angels now and they don't even make a fuss,
I miss all my loved ones whom haven't gone far and stay close
One day we will meet again and be angels to I suppose.

they say that time heals everything
but what it cant heal is the passing
of the ones you love
ones that have been sent up above
you keep wishing you could press rewind
but just remember the good times
and the good memories
of what used to be
but dont let it pull you down
there the king/queen of the heavens
with there halo as there crown
you know theyll be there waiting to open up the gates for you
so you can talk about the old times
and the things you used to do
so just for now cherish the people that you know
because you never know when its there time to go
Why make a sound or noise
or do anything to the page?
Unison playing from polyphony,
music evolves toward simplicity.
Gould's assertion that complexity,
NASA, is no more certain than a drunk in his city
weaving, heaving his guts into the gutter;
by any measure, evolution's favored bacteria.
Therefore, the earliest poem taking joy
in abundant crops and the lover's body,
2K B.C., followed by Yeats' Lapis Lazuli
offers the completest hope to us, easily,
for living this life without God's help
or even probability's. We meet
in the meeting house, argue and pray. We sit
with the dead who gave their genes to whelp
ourselves. Today, and then, the one question is
What is the polity's interest in the private soul?
Being free means belonging to the loved ones.
O the individual, alone, cannot be whole.
Governance evolves to democracy,
man accepting sole responsibility
for his thoughts, his wants, his words. Pure,
vibratoless song from a polyphony of wars.
