Llama Drama

(Was on a pic of a llama with a thick lock of hair on his head, styled in quite human like fashion and it was grinning. If u google llamas perhaps then u will understand what I mean)

This flesh 'n' blood cousin of the ship 'o' the desert
here is given that funky punky , stylish haircut?

Could it be optical illusion or screen manipulation
causing him to grin in mock jubilation?

And ain't he gonna toss those bangs like some real groovy llama?
My doesn't he look ready for any showbiz dromedary drama?

Ah yes, he does look handsome, do come have a view
of this fuzzy, comedy dromedary beau!

Send in the paparazzi, for he's already saying cheese
But he prefers his own kind, send in some lady llamas please.

Hey, like humans, llamas can stick their tongues out and spit to express displeasure
So keep your distance from angry ones or you will regret the mismeasure

The one I see in the picture is a cool llama teenaager
but he's no teeny-bopper, for he's a teetotaller
as no one ever saw him
with a bottle of gin or lager!

Sacred Lake Titicaca

Sacred Lake Titicaca

High atop the Andes, between Bolivia and Peru,
sits the birthplace of the Incas, sacred Lake Titicaca.
A powerhouse of nature through and through,
it was created by the Inca god of the lake, Viracocha.

A treetop view showcases unique flora and fauna that abound,
from llamas to fresh water snails dozing in the sun;
rainbow trout and other colorful fish are found
as sunlight reflects golden on the lake’s horizon.

Flocks of snowy egrets among the rare totora reed
share this natural habitat with slate-gray Andean coots,
snowy egrets, and white-tufted grebes diving for feed,
while parrots scratch their heads perched on mangrove roots.

Sounds of nature overcome the silence of twilight,
as huge water frogs on lily pads croak their lullabies.
The black-crowned night heron forages in the dying light,
and gloomy catfish float underground for a tasty prize.

Incas believed that when their time on earth was done,
the mystical clear blue water was a portal to the stars,
and into the depths of Titicaca, their spirits would return,
to reunite with their gods and venerable ancestors.

Journey To Spirit Mountain

Minter Bridge Road to Burkhalter Lane
Alpaca farms dot the hilly terrain, baby llamas
Wear thick curly fur, until the shears come
They look really funny when the fur is all gone

From the top of Chehalem, a significant drop down
Now into Newberg a quaint little town
Velvet moss cloaks the ivy in emerald green
Entwined through a forest of Juniper trees

On to Spirit Mountain, Grand Rhonde’s old legend
Where old spirits dwell, their holiness beckons
It’s best to go slow in a horse powered engine, that
Would have impressed the Pony Express, the
Ghosts of Rogue River's tribes of Kalapuya
Smoking peace pipes in wigwams
On the banks of Nestucca

KA/ 2003

Note: A place where you can truly feel the old spirits dwell. Kalapuya (Calapooya) means “wealthy way of life”. A semi-nomadic people who lived in permanent winter villages (near present day Portland, Oregon) and traded with their neighbors of Northern California, Oregon Coast and Columbia River tribes.

He visto de muerte a triunfos

Who's Who At the Zoo

Anacondas crush to pieces
Bisons sport long shaggy hair
Cheetahs are the fastest species
Dolphins leap into the air
Elephants have large incisors
Fennec foxes, ears like Spock
Great white sharks unnerve the divers
Hyenas are laughing stock
Indris is a type of monkey
Jaguars are fast and strong
Kangaroos are tall and clunky
Llamas' necks are rather long
Mandrills have red-bottomed features
Newts can grow an extra limb
Ostriches are speedy creatures
Polar bears just love to swim
Quetzels are ablaze with colour
Rattlesnakes subdue their prey
Sloths show life could not be duller
Tawny owls sleep through the day
Uakaris have red faces
Vultures scavenge on the go
Wild boar live in diverse places
X-ray tetra brightly glow
Yaks lock horns when in a fight
Zebras' coats are black and white

Now you'll know just who is who
When you visit London zoo.

Premium Member I Will Come Back As An Organ Grinder

Reincarnated, I will come back as a mustached and bearded Italian organ grinder,
I will live in Rome, Italy and play my home-made barrel organ in the streets,
My pet spider monkey, Shark, will happily grab up silver coins, as a reminder.
And we will make the beautifully-dressed Roma gypsies jump and laugh and squeak.

I will grind out the best songs, and Ellen will discover us and want to put us on TV.
Shark and I will be flown to America, where we will be applauded and approved.
We will play romantic music for everyone, and be as obnoxious as we can be.
We will be a hit with no one on that plane, people who are boring, and not easily moved.

We will be offered millions of dollars, to leave our wonderful streets of Rome.
But we will make our escape, not caring about the fame or the money,
For spider monkeys and organ grinders know the beauty of being in their home,
And we have a cozy nest, with our llamas and our elephant, named Honey.

Llama

Nothing rhymes with llama
Nothing rhymes with lava
HEY! Llama and lava rhyme
I guess I knew that the whole time
When I see a llama, I shout
But when I see it not burning in lava, I pout
Ok, so that's not true
But I'm sitting here quietly with nothing to do......
I just realized that I've never seen a llama in the zoo.
I'm really starting to hate llamas now
I really wish they would all burn in lava
Still not true....
Still with nothing better to do...

Premium Member Have You Hugged a Llama Today

One for you kiddies out there!

Have you hugged a llama today
Or a bunny or a kangaroo
You'll feel all squiggly and giggly inside
And a bit rumpity bumpity too

Not only will you feel all squiggly inside
But these guys will be wearing a grin
They sure like receiving those huggeroonies
You'll notice their tails start to spin

So if you spy a sad looking teddy
Or a kitten with eyes full of tears
Tell them you love 'em and hold 'em tight
You'll chase away all of their fears

Tonight when Mommy tucks you in
And gives you a big snuffily kiss
Remember the lonely animals out there
Blow them a kiss and don't miss

There's a moral here but I haven't found it
Maybe it's hiding under a chair
Hugging llamas and other poor creatures
Will really show that you care

You can walk up to me and bring out the mexican in me
Bring out the rice and beans

If I saw you in Puerto Rico I would say
Bueno? Que traes or oye tocayo

Carne abada
You bring out the Mexican in me

Premium Member Country Veterinarian

The old country vet traversed Henry County over hill and dell.

He was a familiar sight in his buggy pulled by his horse, old Nelly Bell!

He served farmers and ranchers for nigh on two generations,

Deliverin' calves, foals and lambs and performin' tricky operations.

He left the comfort of his bed on many a cold and blustery night,

To help a cow deliver her calf by the mellow glow of a lantern light.

He'd been kicked by cantankerous mules and butted by grumpy goats;

Spat upon by numerous llamas and trampled by chargin' shoats;

Bitten by mean old junkyard dogs and clawed by feral cats;

Gored by irate bulls and pestered by stingin' gnats!

He witnessed the miracle of birth durin' his practice of many years,

And won the confidence of his clients and the esteem of his peers.

Though he had some book learnin' he mostly taught himself.

He never aspired to become rich and had little of the world's pelf.

He recognized that God created all creatures great and small,

And suffered the hazards of the job to treat and love them all!

Premium Member What Use Is a Llama

Consider the neck-ed creature known as the llama
A species of alpaca that lives in zoos or dioramas

Some llamas look like camels, others like sheep
Tho I've never seen one shephereded by Little-Bo-Peep

As for me, I really haven't much use for llamas
Unless I need a pair of brown woolen pajamas

Premium Member I Just Wear a Smile

In winter I wear cute pyjamas
They’re adorned with sweet little llamas
We’ve had snow storm after storm
I yearn to be somewhere warm
Like Nassau in the Bahamas!

In summer I just wear a smile
Stark naked, I sleep in this style
Towards the end of summer
Hubby thinks it’s a bummer ...
He praying the sun stays a while!

**** my PJ's have cute penguins on them ... as for the rest of the poem I am saying nothing lol****

A Purr-Fect Seduction

by: iolanda scripca

The breaks screeched to avoid melodramas
" Free Kittens" - a sign said next to the port...
Name: Thomas Bahamas In Pajamas
Thus, he became my son's pet of some sort.

Inflated fur ball with four skinny legs
Greenish eyes and a mane like a lion
The last "warrior" was he at mom's "kegs"
In his quest to become Himalayan.

We brought him to Sophie - a rescued cat
Abandoned at birth, her eyes almost closed
No mommy taught her how to chase a rat
"I'll be showing you the ropes", he proposed.

So, Thomas Bahamas In Pajamas
Demonstrated his seductive techniques
Now, the couple is gone among llamas
Honeymooning and expecting in weeks...

My Animals Abcs

An alligator always ate addax and antelopes.
Baby bats began bouncing before burping
Caterpillars climb cable crossings carefully
Dingos don't dine delicately during dinner.
Eager elephants enjoy easily eating eggplants
Funny frogs finally find flipping fun
Granny goat 's girl got green grapes
Healthy heavy happy hippos hate horrendous heat
Iguana is inhaling icky insects
Jolly Joey Jumps joyfully juggling jelly jars.
Kevin's kangaroo keeps kicking kids
Lions like long-legged little llamas
monkeys making magical music
Nightingales nest neatly nearby
Olly's old Ostrich outruns others
Polly parrot playfully peck puppies paws
Quick quirky quails quarrel quietly
Robert's rascally rabbits racing raccoons
Slinky slimy snakes slither slowly
Tony the Tiger tasted termites.
Unusual Ukari understands us
Voracious vicarious vultures visibly vibrate
Walruses wobble while wiggling wildly
x-ray tetras want worms
Young yellow yackety Yaks yawn
Zealous Zany Zesty Zebra
