One Liter of Tears

Its’ not how long we held each other’s hand
Its’ not the spring that we wish to come
But the verdant flowers bloom in each other’s heart.
Like a million smiles that brought in our eyes.
Those fade away by one liter of tears.

The hour’s tracks like days across the ages
like a story in every page that turns into yellow.
As the music will never keep playing,
And the songs keep fading to fade.
Can’t you see the time is as endless as forever?
Why love been trying in tears to disappear

The falling leaves fly on a windy day.
Like these love that was forgotten by the time
to my one last cry, one liter of tears
So here I, is something I hide inside
I ‘m in the world where I hide my heart.

Through a hundred million faces that I see
In this world so narrow and wide
looking for the reason that things must change,
But love would fade like summer into fall.
Like a river that flows upstream.

Like a million stars sparkling in the sky
one liter of tears glistened in my eyes,
And all the hopes were faded in black and white.
I cried, I feel alone, I was gone.
Frozen, inside without your touch, without your smile.

Last In Line of a Long Liter

on brink did titter
last in line of long liter
became a quitter

poetry contest
with which one were we impressed
up they had been dressed

check on credential
of what was essential
warfare conventional

way was wide and broad
over many miles have trod
trying to find God

about Trump heard
he is totally absurd
as well as a nerd

to read did invite
you to read poems that I write
with all my heart and might

one more live will leave
day by day in God believe
soul soon did receive

we would always fear
he had been our darling dear
now no longer here

was a detection
idiotic insurrection
we need protection

instead of on trial
he has gone into exile
records would compile
(up money would pile)
(always would beguile)
(on small hands nails file)
(surely was his style)

a liter of wine

a liter of wine

Some time ago, before Putin came to power and made Russia
into a modern state, many Russians came to Portugal, trying to find work
They were met with skepticism after years of propaganda about
Russia and communism had taken their toll
The locals offered little help
Every night, when the supermarkets shut, they waited for
The bins are filled with scraps of food, and one gathers rats
went hungry for a while.
One uniformed security guard got the idea of pouring bleach
on the discarded food, rendering it inedible
When people in
The town heard of this outrage, and people protested, demanding that the guard be fired from his job.
The guard's sadism made people look at the refugees with friendlier eyes, and they got temporary jobs here and there.
In front of me, at the supermarket, he had bought a carton of white wine priced at ninety cents.
Counting the coins in his shaky hands came to eighty cents; he looked crestfallen, the shame!
My thought was to be magnanimous and pay for his wine, but that would only make me feel good if he humiliated.
I slid a ten-cent coin onto the counter and said, 'Look, here is a forgotten coin.'
At the exit, he turned and nodded my way.
