Best Life After Death Poems
The end of life
What can it be
Heaven or hell?
Or maybe rebirth
There are many theories
What will happen after my last breath
Can I count on Karma
Or in the after life before resurrection
Will I be communicating with the spirits
Maybe I will be seeking nirvana
Maybe religion isn't how I should think
Atheists who don't believe in the divine
Could it all just be scientific
Maybe I shouldn't worry either way
And just be agnostic
So many choices
Which one to believe
Are any of these real
Or is this just a dream
I just don't know how to feel
Is there life after death?
By Stanley R Harris
The new mad author
& A poetry Soup honourably mentioned poet
Is there life after death?
Did Christ rise from the dead?
If you are a true Christian!
Your faith must not that question.
In days of old word of mouth told.
Of what happened in those far-off days.
Then the word was written down.
By wise men, alas they were so few around.
If Jesus Christ was the son of God!
And came down from heaven to save us lot.
Why then could it not be.
After being crucified and died.
He rose from death for all to see?
Those wise words written long ago!
By wise men who seemed to know.
What the future would portray.
Which still some do not believe to- day!
A bright star they said would show the way.
Where Christ was born and it still shines today.
But crucified, He would be, they also say.
And rise from death on the third day.
Faith is what it’s all about.
Jesus spoke quietly did not shout.
Yet many that called to him.
He helped cure them, freed them from sin.
If I had two glasses of water!
Dissolve salt in one. Not that I ought.
And for water, you did thirst.
Which glass would you drink from first?
Now if I was always known to tell the truth!
Point out the glass that is pure.
That one you would drink I am sure,
And that is what faith or belief is for.
I guess what I am trying to say.
Do you believe and have faith?
Christ did rise on that third day.
As that’s what’s recorded about that day.
Raised in glory gone back home.
From where he did originally roam.
Now Jesus sits at the right hand of God on high.
His rightful place when He did finally die.
The above poem came to me, as BBC radio Suffolk today, Sunday 9 April 2017 Palm Sunday, were discussing they had interviewed some people who are claiming they were Christians did not believe Jesus rose from being dead. He was not the first person to rise from death, was He? As Lazarus was also raised from his tomb. Miracles are not impossible, are they?
Life after death, is it only a dream?
Or did Jesus die so we could be redeemed?
What is the answer to this great mystery?
We must just look back at our grand history!
Jesus woke Lazarus after four days,
And all the onlookers were oh so amazed!
He gave us a sample of what he will do;
The dead will rise, that is the clue.
When his thousand year reign soon does begin,
Our cherished loved ones will come back again!
We'll then have a second opportunity to show
Our love for God and His Kingdom uphold.
"Thy Kingdom come", we so often pray.
That God's will on earth be done, we do say.
This will soon happen, of that we are sure!
Jesus is the answer, He is the cure.
(Revelation chapters 20 and 21)
As a child, I wished
I could refill
Sky-blue plates
With old grits and scrambled eggs
And raise sons that bled to death during night-labor.
I thought this would resurrect souls
Prematurely swallowed
Six feet below
By the black holes
On Earth.
When I prayed, I cursed
The Angel of Death
For not committing suicide
Or at least aborting Murder.
After God found me,
I helped found a new Garden of Eden
By killing
The Venus flytrap
That feeds off a human's flesh and last breath,
And releases non-essential elements
That even suffocate
Air.
I committed
These acts of kindness
In hopes of being found guilty
Of premeditated
Prevention of murder
And eventually being
Given
The life-after-death sentence.
I hope there’s life after death
A soul that exists with our last breath -
Out of body steps
It would be a shame to just die
To become small dust motes in the light -
No eternal life
I don’t know what death will bring
But nothing more is terrifying -
I cling to faith’s wings

People try to take
my greatest memories
but, they don't know the pain that is inside of me.
My love during hard times,
trying to fix our word crimes.
When we were young
there was never a song that had not been sung.
All the weed,
made you're lungs bleed,
but not for me, that was something that I didn't need.
How much is the earth worth?
What is the price of death?
What INXS song was the best?
We should not kill,
we should heal.
Not steal, but
feel our love,
then we will all be in heaven up above.
I am not sure what I think
Is there life after death?
Is our life now just a stepping stone?
Walking the streets alone
Wondering to your self
Is there a heaven or hell?
where do family and friends go?
Do they live in Gods home?
no one really knows.
Is there life after death?
I am not sure of that.

Life here vanishes into the unknowing; the hope and dream to live again,
for truly live never ends.
It is but a change in geography that eludes us all.
If mind and heart could but understand; is all in the Master’s hand.
Death is but a door through which we all must pass; separating space and time.
For time by God’s holy design is not counted as yours or mine.
A thousand years is but a day, and one day you shall not spend
until we see each other face to face once again.
When you awake tomorrow without me here, please do not shed a tear,
Remember this is not good-bye for I am always just beyond the sky.
Ken's had a car accident
his life hangs in the balance
there’s no brain activity
his life support was switched off
declared clinically dead
Dee cradled him tenderly
as he took his final breath
their wedding vows remembered
donor card activated
vital organs are removed
saving the lives of others
even in death he lives on
Dee walks behind Ken’s coffin
her long ebony tresses
cover her face like a veil
mourner’s eyes glisten with tears
YES, THERE IS LIFE AFTER DEATH
For millions of years
The massive ball
Labeled “the earth”
Has been going around
The hot burning star
Labeled “the sun”.
It is logical to say
Death is the end
Of our understanding
And exploration of the universe.
But this thing eternal life
Is real my brother,
Ask King Solomon the wisest,
Ask Shakespeare,
Believe me!
It starts with you
Neither does it start
With a religious organization
Nor being too smart!
It starts with you.
Create it on your mind,
Invest your time.
You start gathering
Enormous forces around you
Which transforms you
From mortality
To immortality.
Wish first for
The life after death.
Tell yourself,
“I cannot vanish away
But, would live solid”.
Men are gods!
John ten,
Verse thirty-four.
They all belong to God’s family
As the children.
Being made
In the likeness of God
They became gods.
So behave godly,
Wish godly,
Serve godly,
Talk godly,
To rejuvenate the powers
Of immortality
Already embodied in you.
Bestowed in by Jehovah
And restored by Jesus
The Christ.
Live happily therefore,
Take your daily meal,
Enjoy your drink
Together with your lovely wife
And close the death chapter.
Hurrah…… you immortal gods!
Whispering thoughts dream hopes of afterlife
Born with life to absorb the world without
Explore beauty as to smell it's skin deeply
Lucious loves opposed to fearful fears
Time passes with the sun, moon and spying stars
Growing older as we appear to crack
As an orange forms so perfectly zesty
So fresh and juice mellow ripe - so vibrant
Youthful turns to infinite aging
Time creeps a visit to the aging orange
Biodegrable within as it withers
Into the earth of loss and no more another
Humanity seeks authority in life and out
Fear of dark - nothing - unfamiliar; unimaginable
Paying a visit as an orange - just another existance
Never another hence demand your echoes heard
Reborn revamped
The cold the lamps
The ice, the mist,
My life has dismissed
New born, new Life
The shade, the light
My life has passed into the dark
Life after death
Through life we walk through fleeting years,
High hopes, sweet dreams and silent fears,
But when we leave this mortal ground,
What lies beyond, what truth is found?
They say a light awaits us there,
An abode of peace, a world so fair,
Our souls find rest, and hearts go free,
In life after death, what will we see?
Beyond the veil where shadows part,
We journey forth with open heart,
Through gates of gold and fields of green,
In realms unseen, what will it mean?
Life after death, a mystery,
a whispered melody, eternity;
With wings of light, we rise above,
embraced in never ending love.
Our loved ones lost, we meet again,
In timeless realms, where there's no pain,
Together in that sacred place,
We find the warmth of love’s embrace.
Life after death, a mystery,
a whispered melody, eternity;
With wings of light, we rise above,
embraced in never ending love.
In dreams we glimpse that distant shore,
A world of peace forevermore,
Where spirit's free, and sorrows cease,
A place of everlasting peace.
Life after death, a mystery,
a whispered melody, eternity,
With wings of light, we rise above,
embraced in never ending love.
So fear not death, for life goes on,
In realms of light, from dusk till dawn,
With trust and faith, we’ll journey through,
In life beyond, we’ll start anew.

Psalm 119:28 – "My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word." King David in the Bible.
Swords
Grief is the silent, ripping sword,
the razor slashing inward;
the days, the weeks, the years go by
and time is an enigma.
Some say normal life returns
but they have never lived this;
there is no normal after death,
there never is returning.
The space remains, tormenting void -
once filled, your vibrant face within it.
Upon my heart your image burns,
much like the sacred veil,
the essence of a treasured soul
who outgrew life as we still know it
and moved beyond this place,
beyond this world, beyond time’s face,
by lifted hands made sightless.
But, I believe, someday,
we will know reunion;
the banquet seats will all be filled,
the smiles all genuine and real,
banished the deceptive costumes.
Healed, our hearts will be rejoined,
more alive than ever here,
where all the swords are beaten smooth,
shining troubadours of joy,
and all the tears forgotten.

When I am gone,
Hold up your hands.
Close your eyes,
And remember me,
Remember us,
See us as children,
Together.
Learning from each other,
Laughing together,
Languishing in the love
That has brought us into this life…
Together.
And when you do,
You will feel me….
Through the warmth that fills your hands,
Through my life that courses through your body,
Through the memories of love that flash through your brain.
I have felt it.
You will, too.
You need only to open your heart
And extend
your hands out to me.
I will be waiting…..
Just to reach back
To you.
