Odd bird stands out among the seaside flocks
Taller, leaner with red stripes round one eye
Squats in the sand, oblivious to mocks

Opens his beak, emitting a strange cry
Gulls spread their wings, rise high and relocate
Odd bird remains, doesn’t take to the sky

Acceptance by others is not his fate
Solitude is all he has ever known
Feathers unruffled, he lives without hate

One of a kind, this bird has no clone
Staying true to himself, his strength is shown

Sky Becomes a Stage For a Drizzle Drop

Tamed time in my imagine store ,sky is a stage for a Drizzle Drop
Atoms pirouetting on broad high heels
Molecules are singing in mute melody
Twinkling shiny kings tend to twirl and tune like Mozarts of moon.

When I saw that marvel, my shoulders shrugged
I fetched fairly panic.
My skin got to melt sparer and leaner as my sweat
and only thing I could fit is in to a tunic.

I was curious to know the age of sky
Because it is melting much more than most of moist as rainy tears
I reason so; why is it still bearing the world in movement of misery in every crusade
And with a statement of sweet and sour sentiment it is even making me cry spicy with salty sobbing.

You may find my rain drizzle from heavens and fall woo
only to reach our soul and try to fit in our own shoe.
Every now and then my bubbly rain sleeps on sand
And it even takes part as the shade of fantasy and sad.

My rain might always has inner directed thrust
To rain down to the reign of the thirst.
While evaporation my soggy-boggy sodden rain flow high
And even, in a frown frazzled furnace of weather with thunders, he keeps on to sigh.

My Attempt At a Limerick

the neighbor's grass is always greener
and their house is always cleaner
but just remember
that come December
their family won't be any leaner

We’re mostly big and contorted
From snacks and diets distorted
If you are still thin
You no longer fit in
Small portions our culture's aborted

Author's note: Just got back from the continent. People are still much leaner there than here. We need to stop filling ourselves and learn to be a little more satisfied with less. It is really OK. Now pass the fries please! BTW, the central market in Florence is a fantastic display of food love, yet the people there are thin. How can this be?

Christmas Abecedarian

Amorous is the tingling touch they feel
Blooming kisses as flaming as red bells
Convey passion in their glowing eyes
Directing fantasy-filled thoughts outside
Enamored by the heavy snowfall on the elms
Farther they vanish into the hushed hills of night
Gorgeous and calm is the scenery of pure white
Dashing sleights plunge downhill as screams rise
Ensuing the feeling of glee in the northern sphere
Gorging on almond cookies is heavenly delight
Hot chestnuts steaming on logs are tempting
Increasing their aroma in rooms and nostrils
Jugs with hot chocolate take away all shivers
Kettle whistles for grandma's black tea
Leaner than anyone she'll be a centenarian
Mother prepares a lavish tray of appetizers
Neapolitan superb cuisine in every delicious bite
Overjoyed by the compliments she has received
Pours Asti Spumante* in thin and tall glasses
Quetzal in cage watches and chirps for some
Raging is the fluttering of wings being ignored
Sinking in somber mood he becomes somnolent
Time for a caffe macchiato with Panettone*
Ultimatum for those dozing off on the sofa
Vibrant is the response invigorating their thrill
While outside lampposts give off their gleam
Xenophobe of a massive storm seems insidious
Year is ending in a festive house that loves Christmas
Zealous faces look up and ask Jesus for His blessing

* Asti Spumante is an Italian white sparkling wine.
* Panettone is an Italian sweet bread
   with candied fruit and raisins.

Missing Person

Suzy Ronson was a window cleaner
even stories high she was a leaner.
She reached much too far
lost grip on the bar.
Not a person around has since seen her.

Premium Member A Cowboys Lullaby

A life four score and five short years
Of tender hearts and happy tears
Memories of yesteryear he's crafted into song
Each album paved , a stepping stone
The craftsmanship shaped a happy home
The Wordsmiths scribed a worthy tome, the faithfulnsingbalonf

A Texas sta, a fuiding light
For those of us who shine less bright
Golden Glovesstill raised in fight, defend the underdog
Magdalas lights a distant shore
Will call in vain forever more
The sea calls sailors to endure the coldly blinding fog

Though freedoms out there, there's a fee
For freedoms never ever free
A marriage, pride, a family, a life cut to the bone
An outlaw heart, a faith sublime
A hundred years born outta time
Four riders, outlaws, highwaymen no longer ride alone

In a world devoid of sanity
At the risk of vile profanity
The echoes of humanity, resound in every cry
Like Lewis and Clarke you blazed a trail
For every mile fought tooth and nail
Your quest, your prize, your Holy grail, your Cowboys lullaby

Through leaner years a hungry heart
Each written line's a work of art
Your Devils now, made to depart, no longer do you wrong
To dream a dream, then see it through
Marks the man we see in you
No epitaph of black & blue, you're right where you belong

She looked like heaven
when I seen her
and from her back side
she looked leaner
than any girl thats
come to dance in here
with those jeans
so very tight
and her hair
bleached platinum white
It was all I could do
not to stare
It hung down
around her shoulders
as I dreamt of
massive boulders
that poor little silk shirt
had to bare
I took another shot
as I cashed in my lots
and went to invite her
for a beer
when she slowly
turned around
I nearly got knocked down
when I saw Her mustache
and Her beard
that's when I looked around
and the funny thing I found
everybody looked at me
like I was weird

This actually happened. Years ago, I went to a night club that I hadn't been to in a year or so, not realizing it had become a gay bar----whoops

Impress Me Son

IMPRESS ME SON

Brevity is the span of life, it is so short ;
But linear is victory without any short-cut.

The world you see now is a battle field ;
Doggedness is the only mean to the yield.

A hand that sowingly itself deceives;
Cries in vain upon what it later receives.

Be not a leaner but self reliant;
Hunt not fly nor ant but kill the giant.

Remember,the whole world is yours;
Limitation is in nowhere but in us.

Impress me son now that I may   smile;
That I may be proud of you in Niger or Nile.

Behold, you are the last leg of my race;
Fail not son, in your hand is the ace.

Chief Complaint

Doctors getting exposed like popes,
Caught pulling the rope a dope,
Falling down the entropic slope,
No integrity - can't cope,
Seats of power to dethrone,
Why don't y'all extradite your own?
If ya catch a sleeper near ya,
Take that tommy peeper,
To the nearest theatre,
And expose that creature,
Its the latest greatest feature,
In reality media,
Put it on wikipedia,
We like, "Dawg, we hear ya!"
Stuff ain't black and white,
So let's punk these zebras,
Walkin' 'round like libras,
How 'bout we take their medicine,
To debilitate libidos,
Of ghouls in tuxedos,
Friggin' neato,
Now let's stop the peep show.

We gon' Murder, lazy suckers in art,
Not in the streets, are you a stinking sweet tart?
Be smart, avoid Agents Provocateurs,
Lessons learned from disturbed dealings with nerds,
I'm jealous of every one of you free punks,
Livin' lux' cuz you learned math and redux,
Methodology, just watchin' the flux,
Making rational decisions and earning big bucks,
Sucks to me be me cuz I'm a sensitive nut,
Driving the short bus right into a rut,
I once thought I was a cut above the rest,
Perhaps blessed,
But when putting faith to the test,
I found a lot of hex, and now maybe I'm vexed,
I realized my faith wasn't in myself,
It was in the rest,
So I went on a quest to discover why I felt,
And my feelings lead me straight to hell.

OMJeepers creepers,
Would ya get a load of these sheepish creatures?
Could ya set a tone of leaner demeanor?
Should ya live by the vote of some evil geezers?
I'm gettin' at the throat of some evil deeds,
I'm pullin' out weeds like, "who planted these?"
Some GMO seeds, like, "do we really need these?"
These things we see have an invisible leash,
I breath, I eat, I sleep, I compete,
I discriminate based on character for real,
No Little Bo Peep gon' convince me,
That skin means stink,
Look sir, I'm free,
To use intuition to see into you,
Sleuthin' through the politics that consume you,
Communistic who's who protruding through all the doo-doo,
You know this, Excentrix is super glue sticky dude.

One Dimly Lit and Shadow Morn

One dimly lit and shadow morn
Outside all made of weather.
A cor’d o’ blimey son was born
Drooped in an angel feather.

‘Are you the lady of the lake?’
I asked in spectful tone.
‘The one with dodgy handlebrake
And speeches like a phone?’

‘Indeed I am that holy man.’
She answered all a sieve.
And leaking me a secret word
One she could only give.

I followed like an acrobat
Half juggling at the moon.
And knowing this was where it’s at
Ate Elvis with a spoon.

A bacon with its rind cut off
Came ambling like a Sunday.
And leaner than a racing sloth
It giggled like a Monday.

Little Santa Helpers

Santa has outsourced his services to child labourers from Bangladesh they
fit zero-sized through chimneys much easier and the leaner they are the
better they share full of joy in the globalised feast of winter communion

Detached they are from ‘wrongful’ beliefs and so much happier for their distant
faithful relation to Christmas plus they are used to half naked toil with
loin cloths draped in native design and fig-leafed in the wider scheme of migrant
extortion minimum wage wasted on them but they might get some
tips from little children on other sides of divides if those can catch them in glee

But then there are milk ‘Ho Ho Beer’ and biscuits by the fireplace laced with
incense and Prozac not licensed for young ones maybe but the booze as willing
sign of cross-culturalization is surely inclusive and a Peace offering sponsored by
‘Alcohol Without Borders’ while the odd trace of Ritalin keeps ordered control

Santa is not really burnt out but neo-liberal delegation is the vogue of the month
and post traumatic stress drones and hoovers on his sick note nevertheless
as his bonuses and shares float on Panamanian waters and now he needs a lungi
as well instead of the red coat extra large without doubt as he burps in the sand

The Bangladeshis meanwhile chirp in silent frost bitten nights but at least there
are soot and ashes no sunburn sometimes carrots with broom sticks thereafter
almost a year of ‘social’ benefits homely rest recuperation free time for Mohamed

They scrub brush and sand their dehydrated skins by the Ganges until they come
to accept the ‘Terms of their Trade’ bow to diversity’s splendour and discern what
is dirt and what their skin colour and it’s the latter that keeps them employed

Life In the Fast Lane

She sits on the bathroom floor
Hiding behind a tightly closed door
Afraid that prying eyes will see
What society has forced her to be

With fingers pushed halfway down her throat
On the remains of dinner she silently chokes
The taunting cries of her classmates in mind
Loudly calling her fat all the time

Just a size ten but not a three
Like the girls in magazines you see
Thighs that need to be as slim as a boys
Boobs need to be as large as flotation toys

He sits and stares at his pale skin
Apparently white is out, tan is in
Long hours spent on a tanning bed
Risking skin cancer to fit in instead

Only sixteen, muscles not developed yet
Need to be leaner and stronger he frets
And so the need to be more than he is drives
To bottles of steroids he soon arrives

The school bell rings, all the kids scatter
Except one lonely girl that seems not to matter
Classified as poor by the labels on her jeans
Not worth socializing with by those that have means

The parking lot is filled with such flashy cars
Kids talking on cell phones, their heads in the stars
Gucci sunglasses draped across their nose
Life as an stereotype dawns clear and slows

Everyone wants to emulate a great big star
Society tells them it's no good to be who you are
You have to be better than everyone else you see
The thinner, the tanner, the richer, the better you'll be

Girls should be blond, blue eyed and demure
Sexy and seductive, rich and not poor
Boys should be muscular yet tanned and lean
With smiles so white they blind when seen

Everyone needs to drive a fast fancy car
Designer clothes are the very best by far
For all those that don't fit the wonderful dream
The world doesn't even see them it seems

Too much hype splashed across billboards to the young
Expectations are too high but are haphazardly slung
Into the schoolyard the hype does quickly spread
Feeding egos and turning them into bullies instead

Those that have more and who fit the desired mold
Hassling those that haven't reached the gold
Next thing you know there's a kid with a gun
Trying to silence the voices of everyone

Then we wonder what happened to him
Well the truth is, he just couldn't fit in
Too many stereotypes not enough understanding
Life just became too absolutely demanding

Premium Member Where I Lay My Head

I'm a rambler, I'm a rover,
Yonder's where I long to be.
Where living's leaner, senses keener,
Grass is greener's home to me.

Tumbleweeds are my companions,
True vagabonds make best of friends.
Desert highways, country byways
All go my way in the end.

At times I get a little lonely
And think I might try settling down,
'til I remind myself that roots are binding,
And I hightail it out of town.

Guess I'll always be a drifter,
Yonder beckons, bids me come.
Around the bend my road's unending,
And where I lay my head tonight is home.
