In the realm of battles waged by fate,
Where heroes rise and villains bait,
There dwells a force, unconquerable, vast,
A nemesis, whose shadow is cast.

With nefarious intent, it seeks to harm,
An archenemy, a symbol of alarm.
It weaves its web of darkness deep,
Inflicting punishment vengefully does creep.

No hero can escape its relentless grip.
It thrives on conflicts, which none can skip.
A generic motivation, it lacks,
Driven only by the thrill of attacks

Its hubris knows no bounds; it knows no shame.
It believes it is beyond any blame.
But in the realm of battles, there lies a truth
Hubris and nemesis are intertwined, as wisdom and youth.

The nemesis, with its cunning ways,
Lures hubris into a treacherous maze.
It tempts the ego, fuels the fire,
Until the hubris burns, consumed by desire,

In the face of adversity, heroes must stand tall.
To face the nemesis and conquer it all.
But beware oh brave ones, of the hubris within.
For it blinds the wise, leading to their own sin.

In the realm of battles waged by fate,
Where heroes rise and villains bait,
There dwells a force, unconquerable, vast,
A nemesis, whose shadow is cast.

With nefarious intent, it seeks to harm,
An archenemy, a symbol of alarm.
But through perseverance and strength of will,
The heroes rise, and versus all odds, they fulfill

They learn from the past, the mistakes they've made,
And with newfound wisdom, they start to evade.

Another cabinet of curiosity
What's your super ability
Where endless are the possibilites
What's your philosophy
when it comes to Deuteronomy
Does it carry into Timothy
Do you judge with intensity
And when it comes to invincibility
are you armed with infallibility
or caressed with creativity
What's your identity
As it concerns this activity
Must it be immediatly
and in the immediate vicinity
Can you preform professionally
with perpetuity somehow with duplexity
Or are we still plagued with jealousy
Are your claims contradictory
And all we see just a mystery
And what do we gleen simply from history
something unearned by His posterity
something we learned about super ability

Our World Today

Why is it in this world
People never can agree
There’s bigotry, prejudice and hatred
Around us, so clear that all can see
People argue and fight to prove
That there way is correct
With no room for compromise
To them there is no doubt
That they are the chosen ones
They speak with their God direct
Who has given them a special right
To denounce others who would dare,
Question the infallibility, of one so fair
Expect no justice, peace or freedom to exist
It never can, it never will, until we can agree
Were not just nations but a world-wide community
That looks after all its peoples where ever they may be
Which ensures that all respect the rights of humanity

If Old Men Fought

An old man looking out his door,
gaze fixed on a distant shore,
reminiscing to a time, not of happiness,
or, the prospect of a bright future,
to when he was sick to his very core,
to when as a youth, he went to war

A time before infallibility had meaning,
patriotism and bravado the craze,
the future was still unknown,
vigor for life at its all time high,
a time for romance, partying, buying,
no thought of pain, deformity, dying

Too young to understand or question,
ship to foreign shore, medals abound,
will impress the girls next time in town,
sacrifice not temporary,
forever more,
a legacy etched into a wall, few will remember,
flesh shredded, burned, torn,
families mourn

A time, when he willingly went to war,
will happen no more,
all lost in youth, now unrelenting,
no blind obedience,
minimal risk,
long life, his number one ambition

As he turns back from the door,
he thinks of the youth,
here now, soon no more,
lessons never learned,
the call to war,
to common the roar,
complacency the mood,
another generation removed

The old man agonizes
over what was originally not known,
war is preventable,
life too precious to waste,
the solution simple,
his vision, maybe too late

Send old men to the front to fight,
arthritis, heart disease, poor eyesight,
let the youth enjoy their life,
his near over, its only right

Send old men, to the front, to fight
ask them to give up their life,
patriotism and bravado, still alive,
will and desire would not last the night,
old men do not rush to death in their twilight,
failure inevitable, the old man smiles,
knows he's right

Wars not possible,
if old men, are sent to fight

Awakened by the Whip-Poor-Will
Then the cooing of the gray Dove
Spring's sun shining _call of Bluegill
The Oak doesn't call though my precious Love

His love's infallibility
Lift's me in times of trouble and strife
Through all predictability
Of His love like tunes of fife

His great reliability
Lifts me in all of life's great storms
For it's sustainability
Keeps my awesome spiritual being warm

Premium Member Unholdable

I'm afraid, of the bright light in the distance
Destiny, that I fear is meant for someone else
So I stay chained within my procrastinator's prison
With anxiety singing of tomorrow's probabilities

"Stay little man, where you are meant to be
That light in the distance can't set you free
Stay here in the darkness right next to me
Forget those pipe dreams I'm your destiny!"

I have always been attracted to glowing light
So I push open my rusted unlocked creaking door
Anxiety holding tightly to my chained ankle
Not wishing to relinquish her perceived power

I look back and see her skinny arms
Yet her power resides within her alluring words
The perception of her infallibility
Her "I've seen the future and it is woe!"

"Stay little man, where you are meant to be
That light in the distance can't set you free
Stay here in the darkness right next to me
Forget those pipe dreams I'm your destiny!"

Looking down, the chain is fastened with a silk strap
I realize that it is really only my mind that's trapped
As I slip out of my tether, I can hear her true words
No longer so alluring as my new future unfolds

"Stay please, I can't bear being here all alone
It's dark and dreary on this floor made of stone
I've known all along you are bigger than me
Wait a bit longer delay your destiny!

Closing the door, her words fade from my mind
I move towards the future, my happy underlined
The light is bright, I see my way is clear
Yesterday I was back there, today I am here

Premium Member By the Power of the Lord

By the Lord’s power, buttressed by His authority
We can subdue our own carnality
Toward righteous walk exemplifying genuine spirituality
While consecrated through His holiness’ beauty
Overcoming enticements of lustful vanity
Relying in His Word’s infallibility
Highlighting divine integrity
Having been redeemed by His grace of compassion-bounty.

Through the Lord’s omnipotent tenacity
We can vanquish selfishness’ futility
Toward joyous service of sweet tranquility
While yielded to His guidance along wisdom-certainty
Learning from Christ’s meekness and humility
Praying with fervency, casting to Him every anxiety
Being upheld against deceit and falsity
Having been strengthened* by His truth’s immutability.

Requerimiento

(The Spanish conquerors of the
Americas read out their legal
document, the "Requerimiento",
to the Indians. Failure to comply
meant the Spanish were free to
do what they wanted.)

Conquistadors in Vera Cruz
found themselves a radical ruse.
If pillaging was muy, muy lento,
they just whipped out Requerimiento.

Composed in fifteen seventeen,
this document was ultra-mean.
It won more scraps than Robert E. Lee,
was deadlier than DDT.

Suppose you met an Aztec mob
that wasn't happy to be robbed,
and far from handing on a platter
its gold and silver, wives and daughters,
was minded to contest the matter,

Requerimiento got unrolled.
In legal Latin, gooks were told
with lots of quid and quod and quaem,
exactly what was sought of them.

The royal writ was read aloud
to help the puzzled Aztec crowd.
So none may later look askance,
the dinks got every sporting chance.

All the Aztecs had to do
(clause forty-nine of section two)
was pay the pope an entry fee,
accept infallibility,

and send some gold to line his coffers.
Who could baulk at such an offer?
Clause fifty-eight - the Spanish king
must get his cut of Aztec bling.

They're hazy over "king" and "Spain"?
We'll have long decades to explain.
They don't respond? It simply means
we blow them all to smithereens.

The finer points can wait till later.
Non-compliance means they're traitors.
We've read the thing, so now we're free
of all responsibility

for theft or damage, flood or fire,
and if perchance it should transpire
that they don't dig what's going down,
why, take it up with Cross and Crown.

Thank God it's not like that today.
Before we step into the fray,
we tell them they're a "conflict zone",
and send in laser-guided drones.

If they accept their crude religion
is now a dead and pointless pigeon,
and take divorce and teenage moms,
then we won't use our cluster bombs.

There's other stuff here, on our list -
like Coca-Cola, lobbyists,
The Dukes of Hazzard, John McCain,
obesity and acid rain ...

at least we don't do like before,
and sell them, as we wade ashore
to occupy their ancient land,
some junk they'll never understand.

Premium Member Take Care of Yourself

In God’s loving kindness---
Take care of yourself prayerfully
…settled in His graciousness
While you share His goodness
Of blessings’ bountifulness.

By God’s supreme authority---
Take care of yourself serenely
…acknowledging His Word’s certainty
For you to teach with integrity
His truths’ infallibility.

Through God’s sure direction---
Take care of yourself circumspectly
…upheld by His protection and instruction
Before you help the needy in their affliction
Toward triumphant problem-solution.

With God’s perfect wisdom---
Take care of yourself steadfastly
…guarded by His granted freedom
As you lead others to His kingdom
From vanity’s boredom.

For God’s praise---
Take care* of yourself responsibly
…enclosed in His wondrous grace
In proclaiming the Gospel devoid of doubts’ trace
Testifying about redemption and eternal life’s brace.

*1Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Premium Member The Attributes and Marks of the Church

The attributes of the Church is three: authority, infallibility and indefectibility
By the authority of Church I mean the right and power which the Pope and the Bishops, as the successor of the Apostles have to reach and govern the faithful

By the infallibility of the Church I mean the Church cannot err when it teaches a doctrine of faith and morals

By the indefectibility of the Church I mean that the Church as Christ founded it, will last till the end of time

These attributes are found in their fullness in the Pope, visible head of the Church, whose infallible authority to teach bishops, priests, and people in matters of faith and morals will last till the end of the world

The Church has 4 marks by which it may be known, it is One, it is Holy, it is Catholic, it is Apostolic

The Church is One because all its members agree in one faith, are all in one communion, and are all under one Head

The Church is Holy because it’s under Jesus Christ, is holy; because of the eminent holiness of so many thousands of its children

The Church is Catholic or Universal because it subsists in all ages, teaches all nations, and maintains all truth

The Church is Apostolic because it was founded by Christ on His Apostles and is govern by their lawful successors, and because it has never ceased, and never will cease, to teach their doctrine

These attributes and marks are found in the Holy Roman Catholic Church alone
The Church derives to its undying and infallible authority from the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth, who abides with it forever

The Church is kept One, Holy Catholic by the Holy Spirit, the spirit of love and holiness, who unites and sanctifies its members throughout the world.

Premium Member Eddy's Itty Bitty Kitty

Eddy lives in the gullibility and cohesibility of a gritty city
Between assimilability civility reality and triviality

Here Eddy’s senility is merely an eligible technicality
A wink of eccentricity fragility debility futility impossibility risibility

Still under that mighty illusion of invincibility virility and viability
Invisibility’s equivalent to gentility favouring stability and incredulity

Eyes void of deceptibility infallibility predictability divisibility
Eddy is still irresistibly witty with intelligibility bordering geniality

The indelibility of his ability versus disability for agility and flexibility
Gives Eddy eligibility admissibility accessibility feasibility visibility and divisibility

Implicit credibility whimsicality spirituality frivolity and squeezability
Eddy believes there’s no margin for self-pity when you own a pretty itty bitty kitty

Laughter the Best Medicine

To fathom the disagreeable I've discerned
Is to not let your hostilities blow up much too rash
For life has it's many incongruities
That hide in plain sight like a cat poised to strike in the high grass
When tempests are testing your infallibility
To go on with out unleashing a personal blast
Use your wit I submit
It's in your ability
To have your esteem still pristine without all the sass
Everyone of us has our own perfect halo
That is soiled by acts we cannot take away
We move on with a smile
And go the extra mile
And with that
I'd like to wish everyone

A Good Day!

A Rumination Appertaining Unity

We claim to love
but foolish pride swallows apologies
wrecks reconciliation and forgoes forgiveness
rendering sweetness bitter
it is an emotional hoarder
an insatiable sin
incessantly collecting resentment
commoditizing the priceless
bankrupting unity and burning optimism to ashes
it is an assassin’s bullet shattering the windows to the soul
it is a death kiss
pernicious and ubiquitous
convinced of its infallibility and yet
the ego is a manifold deception
a blindfold masquerading an x-ray
high octane recklessness eviscerating progress
it is arrogance mimicking affirmation
lending mystery to the vacuous
self-centered gibberish
rippling into infinity
and stripping love of its gist
it is delusions of grandeur
parading naked through town square
and fooling the fool alone

Furnace of Odor

Amidst the clove of reality and elation,
Lust, of incandescent sensation

Breathing taste into stomach and mind,
Odor, desire, all refined

Steam ascending like a creeping mist,
The smoldering heat shall not desist

Dissolving white, Mmm! flavor endowed,
Slithering upon the brownish origin’s cloud

Then the sweetness, a tap of infallibility,
Adding more flavor, hence tranquility

“Herbally” speaking, the odorous touch,
Finally convenes to create One and no such

Tea of Hayle, art to sculpt,
Tea, milk, sugar, and Hayle in cup…

Thoughts On Perfection

As men we aspire to perfection
The slim sliver of impossible
which lies between infallibility
and the outskirts of non existence,
Searching for its proof for the mere
chance at having it define us,
For other adjectives have become
beneath us in our own evolution

Thus we strive for a deity's temperament
and assume equality with unseen irony
Disregarding humility, nobility, desirable
work ethic, and other essential virtues,
For each becomes viewed as inferior
to the extravagant identity we have stolen,
While conventional attributes such as pride
and confidence are escalated to frailties

Too ignorant on our quest for best,
to notice the change of our views,
As visions of tomorrow become
stepping stones to a more myopic sight,
Belittling the very allure of being mortal,
by denying ourselves wisdom through experience,
For no future mistakes means no future period
which condemns us to our present self,

In retrospect, which reiterates the ironic
truth of the entire self perceived perfection,
Our only perfection is our constant evolution,
as it was at birth, it shall be through death,
The continuous cycle of ignorance to knowledge,
For if man does find the treasure of this desire,
Man will still be man and nothing more,
With only the potential of failure as motivation,

Thus, abandoning the sweet taste of accomplishment,
the soft touch of achievement will be never more,
For perfection has only itself to aspire to,
and only its inevitable demise to be a last sight,
A demise that happens at the moment of assumption,
For to be perfect is to be flawed temporarily,
A fact that holds true even to the assumed perfect
which is unseen to him, thus ending his identity,

Therefore, he who holds himself as infallible,
Disregards hope, Disregards logic,
Disregards truth, disregards companionship,
Abandoning his mortal life to become excluded,
Selling his realization of humanity for the price
of a label that will never be proven to others,
Watching us live a life he wants, but still has,
Unable to see his flaws, he has become less than all,
Thus the "perfect" person, lives in perfect misery
