Premium Member Two Pieces of Paper and a Photo

She searches through his remnants
Trying to find her broken pieces
Had she been important to him?
She finds a single piece of yellowed paper
Her name written in his elegant hand
Those hands that had held her once
Strong hands
She had felt safe in those hands
Unaware of his weakness,
his lacking
Why had he left?
She kept looking though drawers and boxes
Feverishly searching for answers
Only one photo
Taken so very long ago
Proof that they had been part of his life
The proof felt like a knife
Those young faces smiling at her
Blissfully unaware of what was to come
Daddy was leaving
He wasn't coming home again
She hands the photo to her sister
There must be more
She keeps searching
Unaware of what was important to him
Wanting more clues
Answers
Reasons
Another piece of paper
Her sisters name with her children listed underneath
The grandchildren he never got to know
She can't help wonder
Why were they not enough
And she realizes it was his lacking
It was never theirs
There was nothing they could have done
They could not be better girls
Happier girls
Good enough girls!
He was broken
Lonely long before them
His remnants scattered
Indecipherable
She looks at her sisters
They cry together
Sad for the loss of what they did not have
Yet beneath the tears they smile
Holding each other's delicate hands
For they possess a strength he never had
They have stayed together
Loved each other
Carried each other's burdens
Resilient
Loving
Caring
They have survived
If he had known them
He would have been so proud

Premium Member Emptiness

I am full
Of emptiness
I long for longing
Crave contentment

The insensate pain
Of intangible touch
Indecipherable ciphers
Choreographed madness

Craggy comfort
Of blunt condolence
The decorum of anarchy
Deserted crowds, social solitude
Miles given to intercept steps

At the dawn of abundance
I see only
bones of ghosts
Whose meager admonishment
I forgot to unlearn

Unredeemed
And unrepentant
I am in love
With loneliness.

Premium Member Stained Glass Child

Stained glass child, I see your window every day
A picture of innocence, purity being portrayed
Can’t tell if happy, such an expressionless face
As my black soul passes, this once sacred place

Thy stature diminished, thy name is desecrate
This window screams at me, you abandoned faith
A symbol of times past, the masses came to pray
Forsaken by doubt, and my religion went astray

Lost without direction, I attempted another route
Trees where stripped bare, of low hanging fruit
Can anyone be sure, what dwells beyond demise
Out of reach answers, high in the canopy reside

So the stained glass window, gives nothing away
No sadness, just indifference to a divergent sway
Inscrutable indecipherable, a picture froze in glaze
Enduring illustration, of our past ecclesiastic days

Later life offered, more than reflection and prayer
Leaving surreality, stumbled upon a hedonistic lair
A craving for escapism, morphs to delusional need
I descended into oblivion, an atheist in the weeds

Now searching amongst theories, some I embrace
Seeking out some creator, in the medium of space
From quantum to infinite, amid macro micro waves
Alas reality of life, may only be found down a grave

Stained glass child, with the halo above your head
Embedded in a window, framed with softened lead
Watching you as my life, inexorability draws an end
Have I missed the point, where you my only friend

Premium Member You, Looking At Me

                      You, looking at me
Come and let me look closely
              To see what's behind those
         Eloquent eyes, restlessly dancing
                     Bleeding ruby-red
           With indecipherable meanings

Are you happy, sad, or in-between?
       Do your eyes reveal wholeheartedly
Your inner turmoil and untold secrets?
Your virtues, vices and cardinal sins?
Your scars and demons? Will they explain
The answer behind the answer of you?

Come closer and let me peek
Longingly into the window of your soul
What stories do your eyes tell?
Do they speak of love and understanding?
               Perhaps pain and sadness?
                Care or cold indifference?

           Will your eyes pierce through
My heart like a Cupid's bayonet
And wrap my soul in plenary bliss
Like a pleased dog wagging its tail?
Will they make my soul sing
When you lovingly gaze into my eyes?

At Peace

7/3/2018
A waxing crescent moon shed a sliver of mystified light on the silhouette of the lonely shadow of a woman.

She sat cross legged on a chunk of hard Earth overlooking a circular abyss of stones.

Different shapes and forms of stones interlocking like puzzle pieces in the Universe’s jigsaw.

Mature naturally arched trees leaning forward as a hunched back Mother Nature would.

Her long locks of leaves high enough never to touch the ground but bowing low enough to dangle freely with the breeze, tickling the woman’s’ brow in a gentle sway.

A barrier of green, a curtain around her sanctuary secluding her from the outside world of black souls and Godless structure.

Misty clouds of dusk play hide n’ seek with the moonlight, showering her vision with schizophrenic darkness and illumination.

She lifts her heavy eyelids, revealing glacial blue irises speckled with amber.

Cool under the shade of her fanning tinted black lashes.

A stray cat investigates a pile of abandoned possessions litter and decomposed plants beside the woman.

Its slender figure perched on top of the pile, gazing at the sky with fluorescent lime eyes signaling sorrow to scattered stars.

The woman’s chi topples over, unbalanced, her meditative state lost.

She is transfixed with the black cat’s hypnotic purrs, its indecipherable plea to a listener above beyond all perception and visibility.

The woman’s throat fell victim to a viselike grip.

A thief in the night robbing precious oxygen…her bulged open pupils losing energy.

Slowly, her strength subsides…her eyelids close like bedroom blinds between a Peeping Tom.

Her body drops against the multi creviced rock.

Alas, she is weightless.

The skull encasing her cranium cracks against countless stones as she is tossed into the shallow hole of the unknown.

My Balance 2

she arrives
parting these prison waves
the terrible jolting crash
of release
shocking noise
this lucid vision
of you

all too kind
to fault
all too warm
to freeze
all too flawed
to hope
all too real

no more 'I'
your light remains me
indecipherable
love;
this white blue lightning
sears the flesh
but purifies me
you purify me.

Pleasure Dome

The change is slowly coming
like murder in the back alley.
It won't be neat or sweet, but
messy, and the moon will reflect in the cardinal pools.
The hand of a stranger wrenching the deepest secrets
from any subdural cavity, flinging the remnants about.
Akin to a drunken neurosurgeon who has a penchant
for psychotic episodes.
The effluvium of dormant limbic activity
reaches the nostrils by way of a ghost's lingering, indecipherable
love melody.
A soulless beggar or a stray dog on my porch
gives reinforcement to the crumbling foundation
that rests before the golden cross.
Cherubs need more grease for the gears that
the bedraggled nobleman has primed for the faustian machine.
Shall the slaughterhouses reopen?
Maybe the banquet should be served on the convex table
complete with
sandwiches made of dust and weeds.
The change brings dirt devils and the clanging
of wind chimes that belt out Beethoven's 9th
with all the glory of any bacchanalia
ever dreamed up by the whims
of peripheral thoughts.

Thin Ice of Life

A skating I go
On the thin ice of life.
A skating I go
On the thin ice of love.

On the fine sheet of ice, I draw fine lines
As the skate curves along the icy floor
Like a child scribbling indecipherable incurvates
My creasing destiny, on my palm I delineate
Ignorantly apprehensive of my desired fate.

Reeling over the stones of enticing mutiny
Orbiting along an extended apogee.
Gathering myself together, combating myself unceasingly;
Victoriously I follow my self-defined philosophy.

Cognizant I am, of the hardship and pain
Of the marathon race I've undertaken.
Yet on the thin ice of love and life
Inexorably carrying the burden of life
A skating I'll always goalless go.

My Beautiful Father's Treasures

“But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear

Unto myself, so that I may finish my race with joy....” ~

Panning for gold to gather jewels from the rivers bed flowing

Through the heart of this life aneath its, gravel and mire; murk?!

Not that I may purchase the things of this secular world to possess

Its material mirage yet, to attain the clarity in this centripetal beauty

Arising, from the spirals soot of its offerings amid burnt ashes....

Recycling this montane muse as being strained through its percipients grid

Compelled to be driven through a mazes vague imitations; tombs or treasures

Binding the blind to be cast into a temporals pit of pleasure, at a pawns price!?

Hidden cost within an indecipherable code; torn from pages crafted in deceit....

Running amid a margins marathon that has no finish lines of promise except

Crowns of thorns to wear imbedded in eyes which bleed their nights passing

In black magics blurry visions; from which I arise every morn when I awaken?!

Finding my way unto the crystal waters that I may pan for gold as sifting through

A recycled mythmakers maze of, mystiques strained and muddy mires....

Iris

Through an indecipherable swirl of color,
A sweep of waving leaves…emerge.
Somber tones depict a tenacious iris,
Weathering the storm.

A Picturesque

a crimson ball of fire
descending in the unknown
mirroring on the roaring seas,

lofty mountains standing undeterred
silhoeutting enchantingly against the blushing azure,

glimpses of trio of birds
their flight, promising no horizons,

pruned trees dancing in
esoteric merriment,

leaves rustling gently
in the zephyr
their whispers indecipherable,

Clouds parting and
then again embracing
enthralling colossus imagery,

stars blinking in
awesome awareness
sharing knowing smiles,

an aura of tranquility and gay,

what a contentment!
To live life
amidst nature's simple
bliss of living..

Fighter

It has no
color
             No flavor
             Without favor
              Don t try
being sanctimonious
              Just grow
and achieve like birds
              So
insurmountable
              So unrivaled
              Yet, belittle
               Bringing
joys
               Bringing
nightmares
               Yet, you
also bring pains
               Distorting
the novice
               Priceless
with huge prices
               Land of
imaginations
               Land of
remarkable joys
               Where the
situation keeps
changing rapidly
                You give a
pain of painful loss
                A god-
forsaken pain
                So
indecipherable

I Dont Exist

If I strain, I can hear the laughter
Through my groggy half asleep dream.
The sounds of joy and jubilation
That I cannot participate in even after
Myself in front of them I have tried to redeem

The sounds echo in this majestic house,
The noise made by young and old alike
As I float around aimlessly like a ghost
My voice heard like a whisper, as meek as a mouse,
Will they notice if I just ride away on my bike??

I try to talk to them time and again,
My words are indecipherable
Am I an alien to my own kind??
It feels like I'm on a tether of my own making- I am in chains
I wish I could break free somehow, and know I am no longer entangled

I will break free the chains entangling me

Indecipherable

This evening sky
Lies low, stalled,
Sowing light,
In surrender.
Insignificant,
Vague verse
Emotions, obscure..

Across the room
Dark clouds gruel.
Misspelt claps,
Rumble pursuit,
Chime of nine.

Indecipherable
Thoughts of mine.

Premium Member Zoltan Goliath

This article is about the avant-garde poet, playwright and memoirist. For other uses, see Otis Trench, Brent Scorn, Lydia Fox, C. Günter Marrow, Elzbieta Bienga (disambiguation).

Zoltan Goliath (?????? ?????) has long been considered an enigma; elusive and indistinct with an uncertain heritage and vaguely defined borders. His past is shrouded in mystery, myth and legend. He is believed to have started life as a shallow, hard-boiled stereotype of a cynical private investigator in a trashy dime store crime novel, but he stuck to his guns and eventually metamorphosed into a tragically complex and conflicted character in an obscure psychological drama that was burned by the Nazis on the Opernplatz in 1933; now he’s all smoke and ash, indecipherable. He is rarely seen in public and often makes it a point to have his own obituary printed in certain small town newspapers. He is rumored to possess a large collection of rare idioms as well as many volumes of arcane criteria. There is good reason to believe he spent some years at sea aboard a tramp steamer smuggling contraband to the underdogs during the Cold War, his travels being extensive. None of this can be verified, however, since Mr. Goliath is notorious for agreeing to meet for interviews, only to send a chimp wearing a deerstalker cap in his place, or other some-such nonsense.
