Premium Member Grade School Teacher-PS

My life as a grade school teacher
Is like a life-long student and schooler
Always working with colors, pens and papers
While taking care of kids as their second mother.

Still, I oftentimes sleep quite late at night
Check exams, plan learner’s lessons that delight
In the morning, I need to wake up early
To be at school before our flag ceremony.

As I impart my knowledge and skills
I learn a lot of things, head down to my heels
I learn to be more patient and understanding
More hardworking, very kind and loving.

I learn by experience, seminars and discovery
Embracing new teaching techniques and technology
Continue enhancing all my talents and creativity
In many areas, to teach my learners efficiently.

I’ve got so many other exciting multiple roles
Classroom maintenance, nurse, guidance counsellor
Dancer, singer, artist, director, actress or actor
A lot more, to mold and shape learner’s life and future.

I also play with my learners like a big kid
To promote relationship, inculcate values, I also read
Despite our emotional farewell on every graduation
They’ll always come, visit me in my school-roles repetition.

I believe, teacher has a schooler’s life that'll last
Only after a long journey loaded in a carabao's drawn cart
Grand graduation will come with unimaginable fulfillment
And achievement felt in the heart only on age of retirement.

On Poetry and Prose

A bridge from colloquial to courtly
fare
A span where idealism and fantasy
pair
A railway to the existential realm;
celestial lair
A conduit through which rational
discourse can flare

Deep medium to: forage, inculcate,
and inform
Broad brush to paint rare beauty;
sculpt surrealistic form
Incisive scalpel to surgically alter
the societal norm
Delicate utensil to educate on
civility and decorum

A literary organ; a prosaic construct
A mechanism our syntax to
deconstruct
An analytical tool; an observational
viaduct
Introspective milieu to reduct;
extrovertive sphere to reconstruct

A semantical edifice that aspiring
wit, lofty orations implore
An experimental structure
gramatical anomalies to explore
A thematic repository in which
concrete ideas, abstract notions to
pour
A vernacular cathedral butressed by
an idiomatic core

Premium Member Twelve Things I Would Teach My Children

Children, our most treasured wealth shouldn’t grow maimed
In joyful living and the art of life, they need to be groomed

At a young age when they are flexible and pliable
A mother’s gentle guidance will help them not to stumble

I feel I should extend my guiding hand to teach
How to live happy and attain the stature they should reach

I would teach my children a dozen and more values
To be fair and just in all they do and shine in life like jewels

I insist, from the right path they should never waver
Also, to speak out their mind without fear or favor

They should learn to love their body with all its flaws
Keeping fit, but knowing it is internal beauty that glows

Train them to ensure personal hygiene, keep things tidy
Follow a system, be punctual and in decisions, be steady

Inculcate in them a love for their parents, siblings, and the family
Treating all men with respect and love, facing criticism calmly

Make them diligent in their study, dutiful and punctilious
Braving life with its ups and downs, springing back with resilience

Train them to accept that life offers a mixed pack of joy and grief
And hardly there is time to waste in lamentation, as life is brief

Train them to be vigilant not to fall in traps set by predators
As, in our world, there are masked assassins and imposters

Above all, make them love God, giving the reins of life to His hands
Knowing things are never in man’s control, but everything works as He plans

Plastic Siblings

Genial to avoid confrontation
Baseborn kind, complaisant character
A spurious recital, a cheap imitation
Apocryphal mind, and comical creations
Counterfeited Christ
An unholy effusion
Sons of Belial
Clutch arcane knowledge
Esoteric information

Delve into oracular verse.
Deadened faith
Recondite belief denuded denials
Portentous and abstruse
Divested of the truth
Desolate road
Traveled day after day
Seriatim in miles
Strangled in hyperbole
Hypothetical noose

Cheaply loose
Tightening
methodically

Suicidal salvation
Covertly clandestine
Do what art wilt
Deliver the chosen
indoctrinate guilt
Derision to the destined
To learn love over hate
Adoration to inculcate
Imbue their sick lessons.

Positive Mind

Positive mind – Zamreen Zarook

Minds are of various type,
Most are solely stereotype,
Positive once are always phenotype,
But being neutral also not a prototype.

Mind become as the main role player,
It is our biggest annoyer,
No doubt, it’s our great betrayer,
Understanding this makes an extra ordinary player.

Wrong assumptions inculcate due to this sight,
People don't know its height and weight,
Misunderstandings and crushes are as light,
Our negative eye was our sky light.

A boy goes to wine store,
Controlling the mind out of deplore,
Make our mind say “He went for a cash change” and it was his core,
It’s our time to change our folk lore.

In My Night Journey

I travel in my imagination to talk to the sky about the sound from crying

If I Were a Dictator-1

To start with, I desire, I were a dictator
If destiny were to decide at its leisure
Choose to crown me as a probationer
I would become a benevolent dictator.

I would in the first place announce to all
That there is no scope for nonsense at all
Those who obstruct the nation’s revival
At no cost be worthy of any mercy at all.

That serving the army by every one able
Shall be made mandatory for a year full
To inculcate discipline among the people
That helps the nation to remain watchful.

Health and hygiene of all the citizens
With special program for the old ones
And the disabled as well as the orphans
The basic aim to build a healthy nation.

With force would stop wasteful spending
On such things that affect nation building
Enforce through out the country a canon
Apply law of plain living and more action.

Literacy and education are basic for growth
None availing the help would attract wrath
Impose a firm ban on concessions forthwith
Make merit the standard, to build up strength.

No pampering of any community or section
Put down with firm footing all vivisection
Religious liberty granted to all and sundry
Severely deal with fanaticism and bigotry.

Implement free market economy and trade
Licenses and permits at a stroke removed
Every subsidy instantaneously abandoned
And tell the public to walk without a bend.

Teach Your Child

Teach 'Your' child to be at times "ADAMANT",
Yet don't forget to instil in 'Him' the inclination towards "BENEVOLENCE",
Don't let 'His' values just always be "COMPLIANT",
Introduce 'Him' to refusals and the bold "DEFIANCE".

Bring to 'Him' the facts of 'Practical' World but nurture 'Him' to be moderately "EMOTIONAL",
What all 'He' does, inculcate in 'Him' the very needed "FORBEARANCE",
Fix 'His' trust, but do check 'Him' being "GULLIBLE",
Establish in 'His' mind to listen to 'His Conscience' when faced with "HESITANCE".

Teach 'Him' 'Winning hearts' but not as if "INVADED",
Challenge 'Yourself': Make 'His' presence a matter of "JUBILANCE",
Inject 'Him' with the attitude of winning for which others need not be "KICKED"!
'His Success' ought not to be on else's grave; instead should emit "LUMINANCE".

Don't teach 'Him' to tell lies; but tell 'Him' when just to "MOULD",
Imbue 'Him' with the responsibility of raising 'His Voice' but also make 'Him' learn life saving "NEGLIGENCE",
Make 'Him' aware 'We all perish', but 'Heart' is something that never gets "OLD",
Teach 'Him' 'Sweat'; Convince 'Him'- 'One's dreams always stay alive in his course of "PERSISTENCE"'.

Transform 'Him' to be an ideal for all in 'His' four "QUADRANTS",
Entreasure in 'Him' the wealth of cherishable "REVERENCE",
Implant in 'Him' the significance of the word "SIGNIFICANCE",
Infuse in 'Him' the strength and courage to face any "TURBULENCE".

Teach 'Him' to be an 'Orator' arguing the wrong with "UTTERANCE",
Inscribe on 'His' mind 'One's greatest enemy is none but "VENGEANCE"',
Make 'Him' learn others' abilities and be their success' "WITNESS",
Also make 'Him' learn that 'True Heroism' is in being your own and not in "XEROXANCE".

Teach 'Him' to smile in pain, and rise after fall,
But don't forget to imbue 'Him' with a sense to control 'His' "YEARNANCE",
Teach 'Him' well, but help 'Him' to be a Human, above all,
You, the 'teacher' ; Your child's battlefield 'Your School':
Help Yourself and Your child reach your goals teaching 'Him' the never ending "ZEALOUSNESS"....

Counsellors Darkening Counsels

In the multitude of
counsellors; safety
abounds,
But
ln the multitude of
enemies as counsellors;
deceit abounds.
Counsellors whose heart
studieth destruction with
lips uttering mischief;
Enemies clothed with
sheep clothings as
friends;
Friends whose tongues
uttereth words born in
deception.
Counsellors whose mouth
darkeneth counsel by
words without
knowledge;
Enemies made
counsellors whose looks
appeareth friendly,
Friends whose mouth
draweth iniquity by cords
of vanity.
Counsellors who utter
counsels coated in
corruption,
Friends whose mouth
worseneth counsel by
words without wisdom;
Enemies whose heart
pondereth in destruction.
Counsellors whose
counsel are coiled in
deception,
Friends who by
multitudes of words
cause you to err;
Enemies whose mouth
captivate tender hearts.
Counsellors whose
counsel destroy the paths
of relationships,
Friends whose conceit
counsel to death;
Enemies being enslaved
seek to enslave others.
Believe not every counsel
neither inculcate every
word,
........... They destroy the
heart..........
Believe not every friend
neither heed to
multitudes of words,
........... They enslave the
soul............
Believe not every
counsellor neither seek
counsels from multitudes;
.......... They captive the
mind...........
Which counsel shall we
inculcate?
Which counsellors shall
we believe?
Which counsellors shall
we seek?
Inculcate counsels proved
by love,
Believe counsellors
whose counsel are
weighed by truth and
peace;
Seek counsellors whose
counsel are words of life.
Who shall our counsellors
be?
Let counsellors who are
genuine and experienced
be our guide;
Let counsellors who are
higher and honest be our
refuge.
Hope you find counsellors
whose counsels are
candid;
for
lt takes honest
counsellors to ensure
your safety.

I sit in judgment of my students
and hate to be trapped in that position.
Just a lab assistant with his rodents,
training them to accept their condition,
hoping that what little critique that
I can inculcate aids in their travails
through space and time and facilitate
their own questions at times that power fails
to provide good answers to the life
they find themselves trapped in hopelessly,
and sometimes to the point of greater grief.
Why can not education be mainly
a conversation with respectful rules
between those who need, and those who have tools.

Brothers

I wasn’t born with a silver spoon,
Neither on the night of full moon,

Yet,
I was showered with their grace,
They were divines in human face,

Nothing in my life I was denied,
They were the ones, who were my guide,

I was bestowed nonetheless affordability,
Thanks to their quintessence magical ability,

They were constantly present for me,
In times of worries and of course of glee,

They nurtured me to be a healthy sapling from a tiny seed,
They enlightened me perfectly, how, to lead and proceed,

I was fortunate to share their secrets basket,
They have always been my lucky mascot,

Nothing in my life was complicated,
As our bond was accurately conjugated,

The worst part was when they went away,
It was due to their work commitments, they had to convey,

Still
We continued to share same emotions,
Though the distance among us was vast as oceans;

The chemistry we shared was interesting,
They would know my actions, even before I was debuting,

Time vanished at faster degrees,
The life was so much at ease

Today, we are not together geographically,
for we are associated spiritually,

I am blessed to have them in this lifetime,
As the part they play is very major and PRIME,

Whatever I could learn, instill and inculcate within me to move ahead and further,
Is directly proportional to the efforts and attempts made by my distinctive BROTHERS!!!

I owe them my success and happiness,
How would i return them, coz the list is endless

Elements of life

Many positive elements
that we need to inculcate,
Since power of traits
defines a character.

Itself one of four classical elements,
with a mention in Greek philosophy,
Defined as life and death in later occultism,
Hindus call it Mother Earth,
that nurtures and sustains.

Growing and breathing
beaming in sun,
Inherently neutral,
Nature sanguine, choleric,
Phlegmatic or melancholic,
Create immense power
with union of fire and water.

Can we soar towards
that longing
for light after death,
If we keep untransformed
negativity alive ?
Can we lose to
spiritual consciousness,
and remain unaware
of the Union of elements ?

A Nation Cries Out

Shed blood, protection of innocence, a badge of honor
An oath was made
Defense of liberties and freedoms
Restrictions placed, standards no more
Chaos and anarchy knock at our doors
Forlorn morals; a time forgotten
Democracy is dead, the people have no voice
Gray haired remnants, so few remain
Fountains of wisdom, knowledge to share
It is all in vain, no one is listening
Mistakes were made, but the lessons not learned
Reconstitution of respect and values; a greater sense of self
Selflessness, humility, virtue, honesty
Lost treasures of a not so long-ago time
Preponderance screams unity and love behind a wall of illiberality
A nation cries out with a dying breath- look back, look back
Whispers of the past; forecasts for the future
Take heed, listen, look back and learn
It is not too late, it is not too late
Evoke change, recall decency, imbue integrity, inculcate charity-love’s truest form

I utilized a free verse method. I changed some of my phrasing and took a more narrative approach. I am still a bit of a novice when it comes to specific technique and styles. I also used the assistance of a dictionary and thesaurus to find words that formed a stronger meaning and evoked deeper contemplation. I haven’t written anything of this caliber in a very long time. I encourage and look forward to constructive criticism.
