Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego:
These may not be three names you know,
But have a seat and I will tell
How they survived a fiery hell
As servants of their God, Most High,
Praised no false gods, would rather die
Than bow to idols of a king,
Pledge fealty to a golden thing.

These...

Premium Member Old Maid Games
I recall a card game
probably extending back past the 1950s
called Old Maid.

There was also Authors
and a few other choices
less popular with me.
But Old Maid sticks in mind
as blatantly sexist
and ageist
and, for a country kid
in redneck rural Republican Michigan,
the most fun
of admittedly limited card playing options.

Whoever...

The Dream Maker
Eyelids dance in a world obscured
Fabricating illusions we will seek
Like the melody of an unforgettable song
It's conception buried in the deep

Visions of his eyes
The tone of her skin
Is the one they see a dream
Or something clearly impinged

His laugh and the curve of his lips
Sun-touched highlights...

More Magnificent Monuments
When we pleasantly stroll down
the streets or boulevards
of any historical city or town,
we stops pensively and reflect deeply
by the magnificent monuments erected for the great;
and reading the engraved words,
we are astonished by the accomplishments
of the noble ones who existed in reality...
as we do in...

Dignified Dust
I was immersed in an impervious imagination
of these frail flowers feigning a feel of freedom
I watched their wings whirling in whoredom
Impious, they are implanted with impinged impetus

A dignified dust, decorated and dubbed a domineer
Yet they decided to be detritus on a detour, detrained.
Thronged by thick...

O Fault
O Fault!

Horrendously I believed, a man solitary,
Was real alive stood, aftermath Tsunami.
On top of a roof, standing overwhelming,
Looking towards wreckage and towns’ declining.

Devastation of property, food water shortage,
Ancestral heritage, swept away by chase.
Culturally rich even, 100 years liven,
No escape what to do,...

Genesis Resplendent
Autumnal hint faintly tinges air
finding this mortal
     bewitched by blare
ring refulgent radiance,

      which quiets viz cheer
ring, harkening murmuring analogous,
     when Holiday carolers
     happily,...

Running Scared, Humour
This morning’s run began so benign and gentle,
Yet 15 minutes later deep feelings were unhinged,
Confused, I recalled my latest meals,
Whilst my insides were impinged.

Aghast, I sensed the futility,
Of my plight against this ongoing urge,
With jalapeno pizza making itself heard,
From the inside there came the...

Virtues and Purity
Never stood still on battling ground,
watch the vicious and villainous carnage,
and not fight with true courage...
to increase the sword clanking sound.

Never been humiliated by slandering words not timely,
my silence banished them as they picked up velocity;
I did nothing to vindicate my anger with visceral...

The Baby Queen
Like an angel from paradise you came
In my dream - I believed that to be true,
Like a princess you graced up on me
The realism was out of true.

I walked to you like my destiny famed
With your shadow beholden for obstacles unknown,
I traveled along mirthfully
With...

The Iraq War
The Iraq war was illegal, unjustified and needless,
The country should never have been invaded;
It was an assertion of distrust and disconnection,
And diplomacy talks should never have been evaded.

With nuclear weapons still functional,
The east and dictatorial regimes need trust,
To educate...

Nectar Vector
butterfly sits serenely, it's wings unhinged
sucking sweet floral juice un-impinged
by matters bigger, of a more peopled face
emotions acrid alkaline, or bitter base

that many of those humans seem to display
'stead of slurping the juices of the day
caring not for gross domestic products
graduated taxes or other...

Genesis Resplendent To Me a Garden of Eden Resident Atheist
Genesis resplendent to me – a garden of Eden resident atheist

Avast abundance of life forms
doth snapchat and buzzfeed
a motley fool of indiscriminate creed
resembled yours truly freed
from those scrambling greed
dully sending hotmail google
eyed hungrily ogling indeed
six months later post March 23rd
every herbaceous and woody plant
gets brittle...

Premium Member I Dived Into The Cauldron Of Magic Potion And
Catapulted into seething temperatures beyond the imagination
risking excitement in escapades that may seem inane,
potential hazard weighted against predicament predestined,
at some future stage I might peer backwards and reassess,
initial impetuousness under caustic supernatant thumbnail,
maybe I might indeed blush with profound mortification,
a recondite feverish facial blush...

Dakota Wings
Oh bird, svelte armor of extension be your wings,
while my felt honor of extinction is the stings
of that suppressed economy ~ dealt swings
plunged with necessities, this heart still sings!

Thee as my crossed adversities, the slings,
Thy enemy as mine confirms, yet Spring
converts to massed new brevity...
