Hanukkah, a Jewish Holiday

Hanukkah, A Jewish Holiday

Hanukkah, lighting lights.
Gather near; blessed night.
Give to God all thanks with heads bowed.
Holy Temple protected somehow.
Maccabees prayed to Thee.
Praise God, Macedonia is free.

Rebel troops won the sod.
Thanks to God. Holy God.
Bring the Shamash, and light a light.
Candles glow bright eight days, eight nights.
Father guided the way.
Father guarded our stay.

Holy God. Wondrous date.
Celebrate! Celebrate!
For Thy safeguard, to Thee we sing praise.
Happy hearts unto God are ablaze.
Lighting one candle each day.
Lighting one candle each day.

Family fun. Musical beats.
Playing games. Eating treats.
God of Abraham hears us sing.
New dedication within our hearts ring!
Souls in the Temple, God claims.
Jerusalem Temple remains.

Hanukkah, Hanukkah,
Celebrate! Celebrate!
God of Abraham watches love grow.
Daily prayers to Heaven still flow.
Elohim is rejoicing.
Elohim, rejoice.

Stand Up America

HAPPY 4th of JULY

Stand Up America

Disasters! Disasters! One by one.
We watch and pray as each they come.
Asking why we stop and sigh.
No answer 'till the by and by.

Over stretched and over taxed.
Our country's back will never crack!
Wars, Disasters, Man made,Natural.
Rumors, Lies, Reality, Factual.

~WASHINGTON~BUSH~LINCOLN~KENNEDY~
When times were tough they knew the remedy.
As leaders they stood in all their might.
Shining like stars in the darkest of night.

Warnings come from far and near.
Prepare to fight! Said Paul Revere.
But no matter, come what may.
America, GOD put here to stay.

Though down we are!
We'll last the longest.
"IN GOD WE TRUST."
We are the strongest.

Premium Member A Thanksgiving Prayer

The Thanksgiving Season approaches again,
A time to gather with dear kith and kin.
To enjoy sumptuous and delectable repast,
And regale others with memories past!

Thank You Lord for this time to contemplate,
Upon the blessings too numerous to enumerate.
Though this day is set aside for such,
We give Thee thanks every day - we enjoy so much!

Thank You God for blessing this nation,
And for the magnificence of Your Creation.
For the gallant patriots present and past,
Who've ensured that our freedoms last.

Thank You for the good health we enjoy,
And for kids and grandkids who give us joy!
The precious franchise to worship Thee;
For the Constitution providing that guarantee.

Thank you God - I'm truly a blessed man,
And in accord with Thy divine plan,
May we of some property always take heed,
Of the less fortunate who are in dire need!

A Child's Prayer

Dear God why are mommy and daddy so mad.
They're always fighting about money it makes me really sad.
They have always taught me how a good little girl should pray.
Please Dear God tell me that they haven't changed their ways.
So Dear God I pray that you will help them remember.
Especially now that it's the month of December.
I'm hoping that the holiday will give them a reason.
That money and gifts are not why there's a season.
Family should be one of the most important things.
Especially when the holidays are now in full swing.
I hope they will think back on how they were raised.
It's not the money and gifts but it's the Lord to be praised.
So tonight when they sleep please give their spirits a lift.
Having us all together and happy would be my greatest gift.
I wish I could thank you in writing Lord with a paper and pen.
I guess the only thing to do now is to just say Amen.

CHRISTMAS

				Christmas day began
With a child of virgin birth
When Jesus, our Lord and Savior,
				Came to dwell on earth

This is a time we celebrate
				And thank our God above
For Sending His Son to save the world
Through His marvelous gift of love

Now, there are those who would take away
				The reason for the season
And have us proclaim Happy Holidays
				Instead of Merry Christmas

Let's hope that this is just a fad
				Something that will not last
And make each year become so sad
With the ghost of Christmas past

Rejoice, I say, and be filled with cheer
				Proclaim His Royal Birth
Spread glad tidings far and near
And pray for peace on earth

Keep Christ a part of Christmas
				He's the reason we celebrate
				Emmanuel, God with us
His Birth was oh so great

So don't allow this lowly few
To take Christ away from us
				Instead, proclaim His love anew
And make this a Merry Christmas
