A Thanksgiving Prayer

The Thanksgiving Season approaches again,
A time to gather with dear kith and kin.
To enjoy sumptuous and delectable repast,
And regale others with memories past!

Thank You Lord for this time to contemplate,
Upon the blessings too numerous to enumerate.
Though this day is set aside for such,
We give Thee thanks every day - we enjoy so much!

Thank You God for blessing this nation,
And for the magnificence of Your Creation.
For the gallant patriots present and past,
Who've ensured that our freedoms last.

Thank You for the good health we enjoy,
And for kids and grandkids who give us joy!
The precious franchise to worship Thee;
For the Constitution providing that guarantee.

Thank you God - I'm truly a blessed man,
And in accord with Thy divine plan,
May we of some property always take heed,
Of the less fortunate who are in dire need!

Yes, Bob, you are truly blessed to have children and grandchildren who join in your Thanksgiving celebration. People who have wealth are often the last ones to recognize the needs of the poor. Many who struggle themselves are more moved by their plight. A treasure you have, my friend, and great cause to be thankful! Love and blessings, Carolyn
