Premium Member Aging With Flare
Retirement for some means a rocking chair
But I’m blasting forth on a contrail’s flare
      My 40-year career
     Swirls behind in Earth’s sphere
And I’m ready to take on any dare

Francine invited me to bungee jump
I’ll skydive with...

Frozen pants dance stiffly
to the mad beat of sapless
drumsticks choreographed
by a wicked whimsy of the
winds baton. Birds cling
tightly knowing that if the
gale subsides for but a moment
they will fall over, be blown
like feathered fur balls on
lone unchartered trips. Cats
hiss in meek response...

Premium Member The Night Shepherds
There is a common remedy for those who wish to sleep
They recommend to close your eyes and count imagined sheep
Just lie down and think of them lined up in single file
And count them bouncing one by one over a farmer's stile.

Sheep are very docile...

Premium Member A Bucket List For Two
See a play
On Broadway
Spend a day
In old Bombay
Riding on an elephant

Fly up high
In the sky
Birds pass by
As we hang-glide
Falling in love on our descent

Take a tour
And explore
A little more
From the floor
In the Louvre of Gay Paris

Bare it all
In a waterfall
Lovebirds call
And we guffaw
On the big...

White Boys
Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: White Boys
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: August/1995

I want to do
just like
the white boys
do -

Wear
six hundred
dollar
shoes,

and
dress
in
the finest
of
suits -

I want
a
six figure
income,

to splurge
at
Fred Segal's,

on
Melrose
avenue -

I want to
jog
with
my dog,

while
pushing
my child
in a
stroller -

I want to
send
my children,

to
only
the best
of
schools -

I want a
pristine
neighbourhood
in a
gated
community -

And
style
 in a
Bentley,
through
Hollywood -

Just like
the
white boys
do -

I want...

Slightly Irritated By the Devilment
Call this country the united states
Of Donald trumph Oprah Winfrey
And bill gates
And the country that has so much	hate
And so little faith
And the city of brotherly love
Is the city of money sex thugs and drugs

Robbing and stealing all for the same money
That says in God...

The Roses of My Life Are Blooming Again
the roses of my life are blooming again
i am on my next ride
i feel as if i am going to win
my walk in perfect motion....i have it all in stride

your kiss is like timetables of prosperity so radiantly parallel
our next journey we so eagerly await
whether...

The Things I Would Do If I Were You
I would soar through the bright and sunny sky,
plummeting to the ground at an alarming speed.
Go searching for the loch ness monster,
and steal a french fry off some guy's plate.

I would win a hot dog eating contest,
ask you to hold my hair while I got...

I Will Never
I will never fly a plane
Or sail the seven seas
I will never roller skate
Or go down hill on skis
I will never hang glide
Or ride in a hot air balloon
I will never sing karaoke
Because I can't carry a tune
I will never scuba dive
Or climb a mountain...

What I Need
it's not like I'm looking to bungee
hang-glide or trek the Alps
supercross and street luging are out
and so is riding a bull
it's not like I'm looking for danger
I'm a far cry from being a masochist
but I AM looking for something
something that's amiss

I'm looking for excitement
pleasure in...

Come hitchhiking through the galaxy
We'll catch a ride on a shooting star
Let's take a flight at the speed of light
To distant worlds both near and afar

Defying the laws of gravity
Neither affected by space or time
Hand in hand across hot desert sand
To a new planet's mountain...

Jelly Roll
Jelly roll

Watch em fall
Sadness of a lost season
No time to reach out and touch a life or a song

Jelly roll
Theres so much a child in you
Things we talk about appear nothing extreme
But although my mind always wants it all
A hang glide in the...
