Guarded Heart

Guarded Heart

I now guard my heart..
With walls of stone..
Built slowly..one at a time.

I watched my life crumble..
Before my very eyes..
I gave you my love..
You tossed it aside.

You crushed our love..
As if it ..were never to exist.
Why did you do this?
Fate's terrible twist.

The place in my heart you once held..
I try so hard to find..
Feels so dark and cold..
Once so safe and warm..
I wonder..
What will be left behind?

God's plan for us..
So hard to see..
For yesterday is gone..
Tomorrow ..yet to be.

Please.. walk with me Jesus..
Shine your light brightly..
For without it..I cannot see.
Surround me with your love..
For without it ..I cease to be.

Inside my heart..
Your love held one precious part..
My Jesus holds the other..
The peaceful difference is..
God's love will never part..
His love..
Forever guards my heart.

Truthfully Guarded My Soul Does Weep

Truthfully guarded my soul does weep

Darkness drowns me and my heart does seep

Love exists in only a broken dream

Live lives in only the suns last beam

Forever forgotten my past does dwell

Memories of you are my eternal hell

Candles burn on the anniversary of your death

I can still feel the air of your very last breath

I will walk alone always and my heart will be astray

I find joy in the solace of our meeting on my dying day

Guarded Heart

"Grabbing ahold of my feelings with outstretched arms
Clutching it with my fists and throwing them in a cage
Locking away the poison eating me from the inside
Ropes that pulled around my neck the stronger the belief
Just an inch closer would've strangled me from no air
Hopes of ever letting them free would blind my eyes
Too bright to light up a room or be maintained
Shadowless environments exist only in books,
Our story ending covered in shadows, darkness everywhere
Expectations of our future began to go off script
Elegant furniture decomposed to burnt food,
Photographs of laughing faces started rotting
Giving my heart a pair of soldiers with guns in hand
Keeping watching of all suspenseful actions trying to break in
Holding a password, waiting for cues to let people in
Guarding my heart from every word, and every touch
Never to be infected again with that kind of poison"

In That Room, We Planted Love's Sweet Bloom Guarded

In that room, we planted love's sweet bloom guarded.
Highest hopes at any cost were sworn a love not lost
Cautionary tales about love's travails disregarded,
As future shadowy beast waited our love to accost.

In secret, cleverly hidden dark of night beast waited
Powerful and patient in darkest shadows it dwells;
For that moment- to strike deep the love it so hated
Thus send two true lover's souls into caverns of hells.

With its power cutting romantic flows of love's streams
Beast sent our lives into deep dives of troubled waters,
We never again to find depths of our fantastic dreams,
Love's realm once we welcomed, now we are but squatters!

What was once the beauty of our love now rests in tatters.
Fate decrees, deeper misery seas and only that matters!

NOTE- An old sonnet that had note written-"To be edited"..
PRESENTED WITH NO EDITS as I now think it needs none...
And no ten syllable count adhered to.

Premium Member A Guarded Sex

A lot says they like me
A lot says they want me
A lot dares to need me
A lot dares to love me

But, who can I trust?
To whom can I entrust?

I permitted love thrice
Perhaps, these made me despice
Most men alike and entice
Intentions appear bad not nice

I never fear this so called sex
How these persons put in context
Sex - a physical expression of love
If love or just lust, comes my doubt

How I want to share that feeling
Fast heartbeats and ragged breathing
Climax or pleasure unending
Whole night til dawn sleeping

I am on a careful guard
Even If my body retards
Or it will be a little hard
Don't even care if long ward

As this can wait
this can wait

Premium Member Behind Guarded Gates

A boy plays behind guarded gates,
unaware of what fate awaits.
And a chilly wind sways the trees,
whistling with every feisty breeze.

Pointing to a jet in the sky,
he's mesmerized as death streaks by.
And when you snatch him up to run,
the earth erupts bright as the sun.

A siren warns of an attack,
the air explodes, and all turns black.
And you wake from a numbing sleep,
racked by pain, and begin to weep.

Opening your eyes, the sky's gone,
total darkness erased the dawn.
And your ears ring painfully loud,
buried under a smoking shroud.

Reaching out, you encounter death;
your child is without pulse or breath.
And a piercing pain stabs your soul,
your son lies dead here in this hole.

Air and sound rush in together,
but all you smell is burnt leather.
For in times of war, hope can't rise,
what is life; when your whole world dies?

Premium Member Guarded By My Purpose of Existence

The hands grabbing you tightly will never go unlock
the thoughts of losing you, liquefy the reasons of my living
my competitions of your love has strengthen
but my heart’s stamina's now much more than that of
immigrating birds, flying through thousands of miles.

I’m alive solely to cast my existence
under the shadow of your happiness.
I’ve grown to be able to see through
the little window of your inside world
even when covered with heavily painted curtains.
I’m learned just to perfect the act of treating you right
and I was born to passionately take good care of you.

The free gravitational pull from the gigantic water fall
dignifies pleasure to combat risk, hands down.
Sitting on the already moving roller coaster
despite being dynamic on uniquely thin ropes,
create risky uncertainties, galvanizing the enjoyment.
Such is the power of your love, scanned out of your heart.
A soul I’ve found, a heart I’ve captured
and such a lovely body I’ve personally trade-marked
confined into one being is a treasure I will never let go.

Guarded By Moonlight

                                Moonlight crept through the cracks,
of the cabin, to lie on the floor.
                                Crossed the room without tracks,
savoured each spot as the spot before.

		Dust danced on the moonbeams,
			as time just trickled past.
Minutes lingered for hours, it seems,
these nights, how long they do last.

Pictures now shaded of you last spring,
			as moonlight moseyed on along.
Dreadin’ pictures the moonlight will bring,
wonder asked me, “What went wrong?”

The moon’s light climbs the wall,
			chased by the dancin’ dust.
		Ascendin’ its creepin’ crawl,
in a few hours, it’ll be dusk.

		Passing is another night,
the moon’s light guards against sleep.
Which one of us was right?
			This life I cannot keep.

Guarded by God’s truth, my thoughts* are free for sharing...reaching-out the thieves.

*Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Guarded Door

They guard the door to keep it shut tight
Lest the monsters kept in the closet escape at night
If they looked inside they’d face their true test
Seeing nothing but the emptiness threatening the rest they get from securing the monsters in their domain
For securing nothing but emptiness does nothing to feed the vain

So don’t look inside, listen to the lore from your passed-down lord
Telling you to guard the door forevermore
So nobody looks inside to find
Their fathers died in a worthless war
If that door weren’t there you’d see nothing but stale air
But its presence lets you see the monsters you dream are there.

Grateful and Guarded

I hold you like a fragile flame,
A gift so rare, it has no name.
Each moment with you feels divine,
Yet fear whispers, "This isn’t mine."

Your laughter lights the darkest skies,
A truth reflected in your eyes.
But as I bask in all you give,
I tremble at the life I live.

What if my love, so fierce, so strong,
Could somehow steer us both to wrong?
What if the weight of all I feel
Becomes the hand that breaks the seal?

You’re the dream I dared not chase,
A haven found, a sacred place.
And yet I fear this fragile thread
Could fray beneath the words unsaid.

So I’ll tread softly, step with care,
For love like ours is rich, yet rare.
Grateful always, but wary too—
Afraid of losing all of you.
