Best Grizzly Bear Poems
Are you aware that a Grizzly Bear
Is tall and very powerful,
Don't disturb him while he naps
Or you might get a growl full.
If you see him in a forest,
Then seek shelter from a tree,
Make sure your scent is downwind
Or you just might be his tea.
away
from human eyes
a roar
beat the air
two look
fishing
cool creek

a grizzly bear had never looked so sincere
I hid in the woods, trying not to shake my rear
the robin was clearly in charge that day
coaching the bear, in the kindest way
luckily I speak bird so I understood his tweet
he said you have to soft-speak her, you must be sweet
no female wants you to act like a cave man, honey
approach her softly as if she was a bunny
the bear thanked the robin, who flew away
then bear trotted toward a black blob of clay
the clay reared up and I was scared to see
two grizzly bears both looking at me!
honeycomb danger
grizzly bear has sniffed them out
stingers no good here
The Brown Grizzly Bear is so called,
not for its grizzled hair, grey-tipped
but because it is truly grisly, horrible!
(Ursus arctos horribilis)
This brown bear is gruesome and deplorable.
The amber Pizzly Bear is so called,
not for its swizzle stick.
but because it is a hybrid bear,
a Polar-Grizzly cross,
(Ursus maritimus × Ursus arctos)
The ash-grey Koala Bear is not a bear at all,
though it's nice and teddy-bear cuddly.
(Phascolarctos cinereus)
But the 'arktos' in its genus name, means 'bear'.
Its been wrongly named from the start,
the 'ashy-grey' pouched bear.
So there you have it!
Three bears, caught breaking and entering,
slagging off the language.
The tiny roly poly proud brown baby bear
Ate a delicious pink pear on a double dare.
It was from his big bossy brother, to be fair.
Which is something that is kind of rare.
The same mommy they do not share.
They have the same dad though, I swear
He’s a grizzly who wears large blue underwear
Don’t worry he also has purple stripes, his other spare.
The three of them know how to set a pretty good snare.
They have put these live traps out here and there
You cannot find them? Please look everywhere.
These boys are lively and fun, quite a sibling pair
Some think their grizzly father is kind of square
But he lets them watch reruns of my favorite, Cher
The rumormongers don’t even know him, so let’s be fair
Anyone that cool is a Daddy that I would love to share.
She came charging down on me with her full weight.
I wanted to be invisible, but it did not happen.
I was gripped tightly in the throes of death.
She was tearing me apart, in pieces
Unconcerned with my screams.
I was quiet now, smeary, a bloody mess.
A carcass in pieces. I watched horrified.
Worried about what my Cub Scout troop would see in the morning.
Never try to outrun a grizzly, my dad had always said.
I knew I was supposed to drop down and play dead,
but who can do that? My grandmother put her arm on my shoulder.
You have seen enough, she said.
We headed toward the light.
A menagerie of puppies
were way too polite
They knocked on the door
With nearly no delight.
Can we use your driveway
For our annual grizzly bear dance?
I said, “Most surely”.
My husband said “Not a chance”.
The menagerie of puppies
gave me a card, and took off
They gave up so easily!
My husband did scoff.
They’ll be back on Tuesday,
Ahead of the snow
I assured him,
for I truly did know.
The annual grizzly bear dance is so fun!
There are contests,
and challenges
Where we dance in the sun
They growl and they snarl
And bring a Mariachi band
A menagerie of puppies
Having much fun as they can!
Diva duck has shiny blue swinging hair
Smooth and silky, arranged with great care.
We watch her fling her flipper feet in the air.
She is being watched by a burly grizzly bear.
He says what kind of human is she? Is she good to eat?
Smacking his lips now, he says “I need a holiday treat.”
We get out of there, because we get a bit of a scare.
Afterall, most of us know better than to talk to a grizzly bear.
A grizzly bear’s paw is wider
than a woman’s face.
And about the length from base to claw tips
Maybe longer
I had no idea of this until someone
posted a photo of one on social media
The grizzly was alive, but sedated
And if you think I would have been the woman
holding that grizzly bear’s paw in front of my face
You would have been mistaken
There was a tantalizing grizzly bear
Who had a sparkling glow and rainbow hair
It was really difficult not to stare
For she was jazzier than the state fair
No one dressed like her except on a dare
She had two make up stations in her lair
Some thought she should wear earrings by the pair
Her ensembles were always pretty rare
Some demanded feathered boas she should share
She said no for she would feel quite bare
I know that you do not truly care
But grizzly bear stuck her nose in the air
A grizzly bear? Oh, my, oh, me.
Certain death if one you do see!
Can I outrun or climb a tree?
I’m not as fast with this giant knee.
Endangered species, humans you say?
Misunderstood, I had it the wrong way.
The grizzlies are the ones endangered today?
I wish I could find one. Come out to play!
I call upon the Great Spirit Grizzly Bear,
who rules over all grizzly bears in this area.
I will be an uninvited guest in your territory,
I'm just passing through, my stay is temporary.
I mean none of your children any harm, so please don't harm me.
I will make a lot of noise constantly,
to let your children know that I'm in the vicinity,
I will not sleep where I eat,
and I' ll store all my food high in the tree tops out of reach,
one hundred yards from my camp at the very least.
Great Spirit Grizzy Bear guide and protect me please.
I will avoid all of your children respectfully.
Please inform all of them to also avoid and ignore me.
Such singing and dancing!
Hardy harly har har
We are winging and prancing
At the grizzly bear bar
The bears are all sleeping
For it is February, so they hibernate
In March we will be scattering,
So we don’t end up on their plate
