GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
In the sea at the end of the west
Curves of orange vermillion
Mathematical perfection with the sunset
It leaps, it vaults over:
Like an arrow straight it flies
Out of the fog - sky bridge
Like a flowing golden gown,
Towers and cables woven
With wings full spread
Like two vermillion angels
Protecting the narrows, soaring
Unsupported, floating over the strait
Where America ends.

Beautiful San Francisco
In Northern California,
By the Bay,
There it is,
That beautiful city,
It’s the city Tony Bennett
Sings of
“I Left My Heart in San Francisco”
Those lovely trolley cars,
Make it so unique,
Nob Hill, a street we all know,
Fisherman’s Wharf, an interesting
Array of shops,
That famous Golden Gate Bridge,
My Dad told us he sailed by it
On his way to Korea,
During the Korean War,
My whole family got to see
San Francisco,
For my Dad, it was special,
Home to the 49ers football team,
Beautiful San Francisco,
In Northern California,
By the Bay,
There it is,
That Beautiful City,
It’s the city Tony Bennett
Sings of
“I Left My Heart in San Francisco”.

The Golden Gate Bridge, like with giant feet,
spans wide San Francisco's wind-blown raw bay.
Foot's placed on Marin county shore's concrete,
the other sandal's close to old fort's stay.
All kinds of means cross o'er it every day
and commerce makes good gains for great wealth trade.
Now see the people crossing by walk's way,
such exercise is effort gladly made.
Strong high built towers' deep foundations stayed
upon a solid core of stone well placed.
Colossus structure, massive cables laid,
secured with bolts and plates all firmly based.
A wonder made with mind and labor's force.
Imagination's awesome fine resource.

Your beauty surpass
A wine filled glass
A toast to the winds
My heart sends
The waters below you
Delights my view
My soul sails
In the gales
Sorrows are gone
Tears long gone
My body explodes
In your glory
Now I'm home
all alone
Free from crap
And mishaps

Golden Gate Bridge
Now, don't be ridiculous, do open your eyes,
Is it a brave single mother trying to raise
Her daughter or son?
Or is it the man, jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge
In an act of self-slaughter?
How about the elderly, who live alone and are home
bound?
They wake each morn, however...far from
forlorn.
Or is it the man from the Bridge?
His body about to be torn.
By the hungry rocks below
No, I say!
Courage and admiration go to the brave across all nations
Who bravely face life~that are strong.
Never sorry for themselves today.
Their simple gratitude for life~totally
surpasses any jumper...
Trashing a God given life to almost ashes.

Golden Gate Bridge and Lost Love
Didn't I kiss you right?
Didn't I hold you enough?
What went so very wrong,
With our love, so warm and strong?
I think about you, when I hear,
The summer night breathing in my ear.
Of our lost dinners over candlelight.
Of our snuggling like, forever,
At the sound of the Pacific, hitting rocks.
Of love mysteriously, mistfully gone.
The golden lights gleaming,
Of two young lovers....once in love,
At the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge!
